Tony waltzed into your shared living room, holding an envelope in one hand and two cups of coffee in the other. You were sitting on the couch, flipping through a science magazine quietly.
“I had an idea for a date, since we really haven’t been on a proper one in a while.”Tony said as he plopped down next to you and set the coffee cups and envelope on the coffee table in front of you.
“Oh really? And what’s your idea?”you replied with a smile, turning your attention to him and letting the magazine lay open in your lap.
“What if we did something simple tonight and went to see a movie? Steve told me about this drive in theater that he found.”
“Ooh, my sweet billionaire wants a movie night? Adorable.”
Tony smiled sheepishly and kissed your cheek. “Absolutely. My beautiful girlfriend deserves a cute date.”
“Should I dress up then?”
“If you’d like to. Of course, I don’t mind much if you would rather go in something just casual.”
“I mean, it is a drive-in. So maybe we could go in casual clothes.”
“Perfect.”
Tony leaned forward and picked up the envelope from the table, handing it over to you. You gently opened the envelope and saw the two movie tickets he seems to have already bought.
“Ooh. The Princess Bride. A classic.”you said, looking up at your boyfriend.
“I figured it would be a good one for a romantic date such as this one.”
“You’re adorable.”
Tony shook his head and placed a gentle kiss on your forehead. You smiled and tilted your head up for a kiss. He happily obliged and pressed his soft lips to yours, his beard slightly tickling your chin.
“I’m gonna go change into something with less grease on it.”he said as he got up, picking up his cup of coffee.
“I’ll be waiting here.”you replied fondly as you reached for your own cup.
He smiled brightly before leaving to head to your bedroom to change. You crossed your legs and drank your coffee as you continued to read the magazine that still sat in your lap while you waited for him to return.
When he got back, he had a blue t-shirt on and a pair of jeans, he usually didn’t dress down much unless he was just at home with you or working in his lab, but you always preferred it when he was in casual clothes. Though he always looked good in everything he wore.
The two of you finished your cups of coffee and he led you out to his car to head to the drive-in for your date. He kept his arm around you as the two of you snacked on popcorn and candy while you watched the movie together.
