Summary
Natalie Scatorccio, somehow spectacularly amazing at French. Got dragged into tutoring someone terrible at French. He didn't mind lottie, he knew lottie was nice. Just he hadn't excepted things seemed to happen when the school went on a senior trip to Paris.Lottie Matthews, most horrible person at French. Got Nat as her tutor, lottie of course knew what Natalie was like. He was on her soccer team. They weren't exactly friends. So, lottie definitely didn't expect anything to happen on the trip at Paris.

just friends, not to be any more than that. (right?)

They had made it to Paris about two hours ago. It took them a bit to get to the hotel due to it being so far away from the airport. Though it's not like  Nat minded it. All he did was listen as Van spoke about everything they were gonna do. By they, he meant Tai, herself and Nat.

When they all got to the hotel. They talked about who was who's roommate. The rooms went like this. Tai and Van (of course, they planned that.) Jackie and Shauna, Misty and Laura Lee, Mari and some random girl who was also a senior because Akilah asn't a senior yet. So, she wasn't able to come on the trip. Mari would most likely be complaining the whole time about how her girlfriend wouldn't be with her.

She would maybe get over it. They were only supposed to be here for two weeks. So, teen days. Then they would go back to stupid wiskayok and the people who were going to college would get ready for college. And Nat would end up with a shitty job at a shitty fast food place.

Besides how Mari would be complaining the whole time, Lottie and Nat had to room together. It would give Natbmore time to help Lottie learn french. So, he was actually surprisingly happy on who was rooming with who.

Though now that they were at the hotel, nat just wanted to sleep. But he had to unpack, he didn't want to at the moment; He wanted to sleep. Though he and Lottie weren't even in their room yet. Well, they were but Lottie was taking forever to unlock the door. “Lottie, just unlock the door.”

“It's not working,” Lottie grumbled, making Nat let out a sigh. “Give me the card.” He held out his hand and Lottie turned to look at him. She didn't hand it over. “What?” Nat sighed again before taking the card. Her hand brushing over lotties at first; it didn't make her feel anything special. It did for lottie. Lottie with the stupid crush she's had for years. Of course, Nat didn't pick up on it.

He just gently pushed Lottie out of the way. Swiping the card against the door and it clicked. “See? That easy lot,” He pushed the door open.  When he turned to the room he was met with one fucking bed in it.

That couldn't be right.

It was supposed to be a room with two beds.

He looked at the note that had their room number, thinking they may have taken the wrong card. It said room 54. The room door said fifty four. The card–

Fifty four.

Well, shit.

After a long conversation of nat trying to explain they were supposed to have two beds in that room. The guy at the desk told him they didn't have any more rooms. So now Lottie and Nat were back in the room; trying to figure out what to do. It's not like it would be weird for them to sleep in the same bed. They were friends. “I can take the couch?”

It took a minute for Nat to hear what she was saying. “What? No, Lottie, it's fine. You don't need to do that. We're friends so it's not like it's going to be weird.” And that was the truth. Nat didn't have any romantic feelings for Lottie; Lottie didn't have any romantic feelings for Nat. Nothing would happen between them.

“Are you sure?” She seemed in doubt, hesitant. Like she was unsure if it was a good idea for her. Nat didn't understand it. She was his friend. Nat wasn't gonna pull anything.

“I'm not gonna try anything. If that's what you're worried about.” The way he thought that's what Lottie was worried about– he didn't want to think that.

“I'm not- that's not what–” Lottie kept trying to explain herself. She eventually just paused before taking in a deep breath, “You know what, it's fine. You're right.”

Everything would be fine.

Right?

“Nat! Wake up! Nat come on, we gotta go!” That was not Lottie’s  voice. It sounded more like Tai. Then– Nat heard a little chuckle as he slowly peeled his eyes open. Van. “What the fuck. Why are you two here?” Nat voiced as he sat up, looking between van palmer and tai turner. Lottie was no were in sight.

“Lottie couldn't get you to wake up. Now get ready, we have to go soon.” Where were they going again? It was too early. Nat hardly remembered what was gonna happen on the trip, he wasn't gonna be able to remember where they were going. “Yeah, just, one thing. where are we going again?”

Next thing he knew a pillow was thrown at his head.

“What the fuck Tai!”

They were going to see the Eiffel tower, so that's where they were. Nat was watching as Lottie took so many pictures. “Don't you think you've taken enough?” Lottie paused. Pulling the camera away and turning to him. “I need to take many pictures so I don't forget, Nat.”

Maybe just maybe he thought that was cute. The fact Lottie didn't want to forget. Even though he doubted they would ever forget a trip like this. Nat didn't usually like group trips. But with Lottie– maybe that was a different story. He was pretty sure that was the main reason he wouldn't forget about the trip at least. Well, and because of tai and van too. “Let me see it.”

“What?” He didn't answer her. He reached his hand over and placed his hand on the camera, “Can I see it?” Lottie didn't trust herself to say any words. Especially with Nat's hand touching her hand a bit. She was scared she would stay something stupid; So, she just nodded and Nat took the camera. Clicking through the photos, smiling to himself as he looked. Lottie was just staring at him, watching his smile.

Then Nat paused. His face turned into a mixture of curiosity. A grin breaking out on his face. “Wow lot… I didn't know you were this good at taking pictures of people. Especially people with bleached blonde hair.” The picture he had landed on was of him. “I thought no one could take an actual good picture of me but, I guess I was wrong,” Lottie was confused at first.

Not realizing what Nat was talking about. Then Nat kept clicking through the photos, “Jeez, this picture is for sophomore year.” Then Lottie realized. The lightbulb went off in her head, like a warning sign. And she freaked, quickly grabbing the camera. “You weren't supposed to see any of those, I mean I'm not trying to hide anything and I promise I'm not a creep who takes photos of people in a stalkerish way– you just– well I like taking pictures of pretty stuff and–”

“Are you calling me pretty Lottie? I mean that's what I'm getting from what you're trying to say,” He implored, stopping Lottie from rambling anymore. “I mean, I find your rambling cute and all that. But I thought I should save you from any more embarrassment.”

They found it cute..? Wait, no. That was just Nat being himself and joking. Lottie couldn't get her hopes up.

She would not fall for them deeper than she already had.
