Anne and Decorations

“Snowing and raining? What a perfect combination to get the season started,” Anne spoke, mostly to herself, while looking out the window as a combination of water and snowflakes came to the window. It’s the UK, what was she expecting? She has done everything she needed. There was nothing else that could be done. Gifts? Bought and hidden underneath her beds. Cookies? Jane had banned her from cooking with anyone else but her because the rest of the queens couldn’t keep her under control. Kat and Anna would somehow end up creating more mess with Anne. Cathy and Catalina couldn’t keep Anne under control without scolding her which leaves Anne upset. Even with the right intention could make Anne go quiet. Honestly, it was more surprising that Jane hadn’t banned Anne altogether in the kitchen.

Decorations? They had all done the inside of their home. All the stockings hang on mantles with each of the queens personalized decoration of it. The Christmas tree was set up and decorated with art and music, and photos of each of the queens. A lot of ornaments hang on the edges of the pine branches. A lot of religious items were also put up per Catalina’s request like images of Jesus and some other religious items that Anne couldn’t think of to remember the names of the said items. Anna and Catalina were bickering over which items to place as Cathy and Jane were baking cookies and other sweets. Anne and Kat were picking out the film to watch for tonight earlier. Now nothing.

“Wait a minute, the outside — We never decorated the outside,” Even though it was raining cats and dogs outside, Anne couldn’t think of anything else to do. They still had a box of a lot of leftover decorations that they couldn’t put inside. If they couldn’t put it inside, why not put it outside? Anne rushed to her girlfriend’s room. She could finally do something and excitedly knocked on Catalina’s door. She was jumping up and down as Catalina opened the door.

“Woah, slow down there, querida” Catalina smiled as Anne immediately rushed to hug her tall girlfriend.

“Let’s decorate the outside,” Catalina’s smile faded as she started thinking about what the other queens would say. She did recover from her injuries already; she looked outside the window and back at Anne. Anne was still beaming as she awaited the first queen’s response. As much as she wanted to say yes, the weather would say otherwise.

“Mi amor, it’s raining,” Anne’s smiles disappeared as she pulled back from Catalina.

“As much as I want to decorate, it’s raining and snowing. Plus, Jane doesn’t want anyone to get hurt,” Catalina hugged Anne as she carried her over to the bed, closing the door behind them.

“But there’s nothing else to do – besides half of my activities are, like, banned by Jane,” Catalina laughed as she remembered when Anna, Kat, and Anne tried to make cookies once. They had managed to set the preheat setting way too high and set off the fire alarm.

“What were you guys thinking? We were trying to bake cookies or trying to turn the entire house into an oven?” Jane sighed as Catalina and Cathy did give Anne and Kat a similar talk. She had walked into the oven turned up to over 550 degrees. How did they manage to do that? Jane knew that Anne was intelligent but downright impatient; she was probably trying to bake the cookies faster.

“It could’ve been worse,” Anna stated as Jane was pinching the bridge of her nose and shaking her head in a disapproving manner.

“You are lucky that I love you, Anna,” Anna laughed as she went over to give her girlfriend a kiss on the cheek.

“Don’t think you can get away with this by kissing me, love!” The other queens smiled and laughed as Jane began scolding Anna again, but when more playful and teasing.

“You are staying with me for the rest of the day, Kitty,” Cathy started as Kat pouted.

“But –”

“No buts –”

“You need to take a break, Cathy,” There was a moment of silence as Cathy got caught up in her thoughts.

“Don’t you dare try to change the subject, Kitty” Kat was blushing again with the pet name. Cathy was smirking.

“Still, you need a break,” Kat was trying to take control of the conversations.

“Fine, once the firemen leave, I will cuddle you until you can’t take it anymore,”

“Is that a challenge I hear? Challenge accepted, baby,” Kat smirked as she was feeling a bit deprived since Cathy was writing the entire week.

“They don’t have to know that we are decorating the outside,” Catalina giggled as Anne pouted again.

“Cariño, they would know the moment they return home,” Jane and Anna were out on their date while getting groceries. Cathy and Kat were on a book trip; Kat was also out getting presents.

“Please, babe,” Anne brought out her puppy eyes, hoping Catalina would say yes.

“Find something else to do that isn’t dangerous,” Catalina went back reading her book.

“Can I do you then?” Catalina’s face flushed red as Anne teased her. Catalina sighed. It was either her or the decorations outside.

“Fine, we can decorate the outside,” Catalina would rather not have sex with Anne right now. She would not be able to take her hands off of the second queen and would punish her so harshly that she was afraid that she would hurt Anne.

Anne got off the bed and rushed to the garage where they stored all the Christmas decorations.

“Wait, how do you want the house to be decorated?” Anne hadn’t thought this through.

“Just fairy lights?” Catalina sighed as she realized that Anne was doing all of this on the spot.

“How about the inflatable Santa Claus and reindeer?” Anne requested as she started to drag out the inflatable under all the other clutter.

“Querida, it’s still raining,” Raindrops attacked their roof as Anne looked down. Their garage was huge. Catalina had to figure out something or else chaos would ensue and a mad Jane.

“Can we decorate the other queens’ door then?” Catalina was caught off guard with the question.

“I suppose you can, start with your own first. No paint or anything that will destroy them. I will call the other queens to make sure that they are okay with it,” Anne excitedly got up and made sure to grab the fairy lights from the box before leaving Catalina in the cold garage. Catalina started with the phone calls as she grabbed her phone from her pocket. Her wallpaper showed a collage of the queens as she swiped up. She first rang up Kat.

It took a couple of rings for Kat to pick up, but Cathy picked up. Turns out Kat was in the restroom and did not take her phone with her.

“Hola Madrina,” Cathy answered as she awaited Catalina on the other end.

“Hola ahijada, can Anne decorate your door?” Cathy was silent on the other end, before she responded back, “Yeah, just make sure that she is safe. I will mention it to Kat when she comes out.”

“Gracias, hasta luego,” Catalina hung up the phone as she now had to interrupt Clevemour’s date, but she had no other choice. Anna and Jane were probably in an arcade or something.

It was ringing for a while until Jane picked up her phone.

“Hey Lina, I’m currently trying to prevent Anna from breaking a machine –” There was so much noise going on in Jane’s end that Catalina could not hear her. It was really hard trying to listen to Jane about how Anna was so close to the jackpot and lost it. Now she is trying again and raging in the back.

“Anne is going to decorate your doors,” It was suddenly quiet on Jane’s end until you could hear Anna shouting, “JACKPOT! Liebe, we won the jackpot!”

“Sorry, dear. I have to go, but make sure that Anne isn’t going to hurt herself,” Jane hung up the call. Catalina soon got a text back from Kat, saying that Anne better make it pretty.

With Anne, she hung up green lights around her door. She was talking or mumbling to herself. She hangs wreaths on all the queens’ doors first with suction cups. Each wreath was different. Catalina’s wreath had the typical green pines sticking out, but around them had a religious item. Anne made sure that Jesus’s crib was placed on the middle bottom of the wreath. Anne had also managed to find golden plastic leaves and stuck them into her wreath. Onto Jane’s wreath, similar to Catalina’s, Anne planted silver plastic leaves onto hers. A lot of ribbons were used for hers, and it was filled with carnations. Now for Anna’s wreath, Anne placed a red ribbon that read ‘Merry Christmas’ and filled the rest of her wreath with polaroid photos that she had of Anna and holly. For Kat, she placed a large photo of an embarrassing image of Kat in the dead center on the wreath, and Anne made sure that she super glued the photo onto the wreath so that Kat wouldn’t be able to take it off. She did fill the wreath with ornaments and winter green leaves. Anne was giggling about Kat’s. Now it was time for Cathy, Anne decorated her wreath with blue ribbons, ornaments, and hung mini book ornaments on Cathy’s. Anne was jumping up and down as she rushed with a wreath and placed it on the respective doors. Pushing the wreath against each queen’s door to activate the suction cup was making Anne happy. Anne made sure that soon after her girlfriend gave her the confirmation to start decorating the other doors; she made sure not to disappoint the others, especially Kat. All the doors each had the queen’s respective color light (as well as glitter) on the outside as Catalina followed Anne around to make sure that she wasn’t making a mess. However, Anne refused to let Catalina see her own door, so Catalina was to be in Anne’s room if she wanted to take a nap.

“Mi amor, por favor –” Catalina pleaded as Anne shook her head.

“No way, also who put that there?” They were now in the kitchen, preparing dinner. Anne pointed to the mistletoe that was hanging right above them. Catalina looked up as Anne grabbed her face and kissed her. Catalina could taste the amount of peppermint candy that Anne ate before dinner as Anne giggled. Catalina kissed her back and smiled.

“Did you?” Anne looked away as Catalina smiled.

“If you wanted a kiss, you know you could’ve just asked,” Catalina laughed as she started peppering Anne with kisses. They were kissing so passionately under the mistletoe that they didn’t hear the front door open.

“Hey Catalina and Anne – woah, keep it PG-13 in the kitchen, please!” Kat exclaimed as she came around the boxes of wrapped up presents already.

“Anne, please put the boxes away,” Jane asked as she saw four boxes, all covered in different degrees of glitter.

“I’m going to go take a shower,” Cathy stated as she started heading upstairs with Anna following behind.

“I’m going as well,” They both headed to their respective bedroom doors. It was silent.

“Anne, oh my god, where did you find this photo?!” Kat shouted as she saw the embarrassing image of herself on the wreath. Her face flushed pink as Anne laughed at her.

“You need to stop trusting me with your phone, KitKat!”

“Oh my god, Anne! How much glitter did you use?!” Anna exclaimed as the other rushed to the fourth queen’s door to find it covered with glitter.

“Mine actually looks pretty,” Cathy stated as the little bells on the mini book ornaments ring. Anna and Kat’s jaws dropped.

“Anne Boleyn! You need to clean up the mess at the very least,” Jane demanded as Anne just replied with, “Oui, maman!” and laughed to put the boxes away.
