Wanda and Agatha
Natasha is sitting in a park, drinking a coffee and watching people walk past and then she sees her best friend slash crush Wanda, walking with a nice looking lady with dark hair, and as they’re walking Nat notices that Wanda is laughing at whatever the other lady is saying. Natasha Romanoff is not a jealous person, but at this moment, she was pissed, she needed to figure out who this lady was and what her relationship with Wanda is, or Nat will explode.
Wanda and the dark haired lady walk towards Nat, and her immediate reaction is to hide, but she is the Black Widow, she isn’t scared of anything, so she stays seated at the bench, waiting for them to walk past.
“Tasha! I didn’t know you’d be here” Wanda says, walking closer to Nat, and Nat immediately notices that the mysterious dark haired woman is standing slightly behind Wanda, seemingly scared,
“Hi Wands, I just came here for fresh air and a cup of coffee, how about you? What are you up to here?” Nat responds, not saying anything about the mysterious woman that Wanda was walking with because she genuinely looks terrified,
“I’m taking Agatha on a tour of the town, she’s new here. She lives a few doors down from us, in the Davis’ old house and she’s never been here before so I thought I’d show her around” Wanda says, and Agatha waves feebly,
“Ok, that sounds nice, well Agatha, I hope you enjoy the town, I have to get going because I start work in 10 minutes but I hope you two have fun” Nat says dryly, showing no emotion which tells Wanda everything she needs to know, and then Nat stands up and starts to walk off,
“Nat! Please, it’s not what you think I -” Wanda cuts herself off, clearly not wanting to say anything in front of Agatha,
“I’ll see you at home Wanda” Nat says, walking off.
Wanda turns to Agatha,
“Sorry, she’s not usually like that, I think she likes me but she’s too scared to admit it so I’m just waiting for her to” Wanda explains to Agatha, and Agatha nods,
“She definitely likes you, that’s why she reacted the way she did, she seemed jealous” Agatha says, finally comfortable enough to talk,
“I guess that makes sense, I’ll talk to her when she gets home, we’re housemates, which doesn’t help the liking each other” Wanda says, happy that she is feeling comfortable enough with someone to
admit that she likes Nat,
“You two would be cute together, please get together soon” Agatha says,
“And if she doesn’t make the first move, you should” She adds,
“Ok, I’ll give her some time, and hang out with her a bit more, and then I’ll do something” Wanda says, thankful for the advice,
“Although, you probably shouldn’t really trust my relationship advice” Agatha says,
“Why?” Wanda questions, curious about what Agatha means,
“I haven’t had a meaningful relationship in about 300 years” Agatha says, already having figured out that Wanda is a witch and therefore that makes sense to her,
“300 years? Wow, that’s a long time Agatha, but I wouldn’t suggest telling that to someone unless you’re completely sure they’re a witch ok?” Wanda says,
“Ok, and I would go more into it, but it makes less sense if I tell more so I’ll leave it at that for now” Agatha says, clearly having more to say but not wanting to say it,
“That’s fine, but if you ever need someone to talk to I’ll listen” Wanda says, placing her hand on Agatha’s shoulder as comfort,
“Thank you Wanda, I haven’t had someone like that in a long time” Agatha tells Wanda, and then looks at the time on her phone,
“We should get going, I need a coffee and I have a lot more unpacking to do” Agatha says, deliberately changing the subject, which Wanda notices,
“Ok, I know a good coffee shop around the corner and then we can head back to yours and do some unpacking, and maybe have some wine” Wanda says, earning a chuckle from Agatha,
“That sounds like a good idea” says Agatha, following Wanda as they walk to the coffee shop.
They walk to the coffee shop and get their coffees, and then they walk back to Agatha’s house, about a 10 minute walk which isn’t too bad, and they sit in the lounge on the couch that is sitting there waiting to get put in a better position.
“So what needs unpacking?” asks Wanda, looking around at the collection of boxes around the house that she can see,
“Well, everything, but we can start upstairs in my room and the study” Agatha responds, a little scared of what Wanda could find, but knowing she needs help,
“Ok, are you ready to go do that?” Wanda asks, noticing how hesitant Agatha is to allow her to help,
“Yeah, you can start in the study and I’ll do my room, the boxes should be labelled” Agatha says, wanting to let Wanda help,
“Ok, let’s go upstairs then” Wanda says, standing up and walking to the staircase,
“Ok” Agatha says, following her upstairs, pointing Wanda in the direction of the study and telling her that all the boxes that go in the study should be in there.
Wanda goes into the study and starts unpacking things, putting books on the shelves and sorting the stationery into the drawers and putting the good pens and pencils in a cup on the desk. While Wanda does this, Agatha starts unpacking her clothes into her wardrobe and puts her lamp and her favourite books on her bedside table, but soon she gets distracted by the box labelled “Nicky” and pulls out a small trophy with “best children’s vocal choir” engraved on it, and she sits down on her bed looking at it, tears starting to fall down her cheeks.
“Agatha, I’m done with the study” Wanda says, walking to Agatha’s room, and Agatha scrambles to wipe the tears off her face and gently put the trophy back in the box,
“Hey, what’s going on here?” Wanda asks, walking in and standing in front of Agatha,
“Just memories, it’s nothing, it doesn’t matter” Agatha says, wiping the last of the tears from her face and standing up to go unpack more clothes and shoes,
“Ok, if that’s what we’re doing, what do you need me to do?” Wanda asks, stepping closer to Agatha,
“Can you- can you get the box I just had and put it in the spare room? Please?” Agatha asks, needing Nicky’s things to be away from her,
“Ok, I can do that, do you need me to leave or do I not leave you alone?” Wanda asks, really just wanting to know if Agatha is ok,
“No d-don’t leave” Agatha stutters out,
“Do you need me to call someone?” Wanda offers, feeling like Agatha needs to talk to someone,
“Actually, c-can you grab my phone and call Rio? She should be in the contacts as just Rio” Agatha says, clearly struggling with words and starting to struggle to breathe, so Wanda quickly goes and grabs the phone, calling this Rio person.
The phone rings for a minute, before someone answers, and Agatha’s head shoots up as soon as the phone stops dialling,
“Agatha, what’s wrong?” Rio asks, her soft voice echoing out of the phone and through the room, clearly knowing that if Agatha is calling her that something is wrong,
“Hi, um, Rio right? I’m Wanda and Agatha told me to call you, she was looking at a trophy or something, and then she started crying and I think she’s struggling to breathe now” Wanda tells Rio, and Rio can be heard audibly swearing over the phone,
“Ok Wanda, thank you, but please text me the address you’re currently at in case I need to come over and then place the phone beside her and leave, I can handle it from here” Rio says, clearly having done this before,
“I can do that Rio” Wanda says, texting Rio the address and putting the phone on speaker before placing it beside Agatha,
“Ok Agatha, I’m going to leave now, and Rio is on the phone and she’ll help you ok?” Wanda tells Agatha, gently moving some of her hair out of her face and wiping some of the tears that have fallen down her cheeks,
“Thank you Wanda, you can go now and I’ll come if I need to, and she’ll be ok, she just needs someone who knows what’s happened and can help her realise she’s ok. I’ll be there in like 10 minutes, but she’ll be ok” Rio says, and Wanda walks out the door, deciding to go back home and watch TV until Nat gets home.
