“So who is the competition for nationals?” Trent asked out loud. Both the warblers and the new directions were in the practice room in dalton. We all started hanging out after the competition last year although Sebastian would avoid everyone like the plague. Then a month after hunter came seb just left one day. Thad didn't even see him pack up “ one second all this stuff was in our room the next it was gone.” he’d said after coming to us with the news that sebastian had left.
“ It's basically the same people as last year,” Rachel said, looking at the sheet of group names for nationals. Finn looked over her shoulder to see the sheet. “Yeah but I'm pretty sure that I've never heard of the Central City Songbirds. have any of you”. Finn said browser. He looked around to see if anyone had any confirmation that they heard of the group.
After a second of no one answering Finn's question I said “let's look them up and see if anything comes up” Hunter opened up his computer and opened up google “central city songbirds right?” Hunter asked, starting to tip.”Yeah,” Santanna said in confirmation.
The screen loded and a link to a website came up “they have a website why don't we have a website” Rachel asked “because we don't know how to make a website” Kurt said from beside her. “The warbalars used to have a website. Sebastian ran it but we stopped after he left because we didn't know how to run it.” Trent said. “And we just didn't want to change anything there” Jeff added in.
“Well whoever made this one is really good at running it. This is even better than the school's website.” Hunter said, looking at the website. I look at the screen “ there's a video of them performing from tusbay” I say pointing to the video. “Let's watch it so we can see how easy it's going to be for us to win,” Rachel said, which was kind of uncalled for because we are in the same room as one of our competitors. I could tell they thought the same as me. Some of the warblers were giving her a look that she didn't seem to notice.
Hunter hit play on the video once everyone who wanted to watch could see the screen. The video started off with a group of about 15-20 students who were all wearing gray shirts and black pants. They were in a group where there were three in the front and the group increased by one in each row. The music started making it sounded like the song see you again the boy in the middle started singing with surprised him scene he wasn't expecting him to sing he thought it would be one of the girls next to him
“It's been a long day without you my friend and I'll tell you all about it when I see you again. We've come a long way from where we began. Oh I'll tell you all about it when I see you again.” the boy with blond hair sang in the middle sang he sounded great he could compete with Rachel.
“Damn who, new all the planes we flew , good things we been through That I'd be standing' right here talking' to you 'About another path, I know we loved to hit the road and laugh But something' told me that it wouldn't last Had to switch up, look at things different, see the bigger picture Those were the days, hard work forever pays Now I see you in a better place.” A taller blond boy sang just as well. I could tell that they were probably brothers.
“How can we not talk about family when family’s all that we got? Everything I went though you were standing right there by my side and now you gon’ be with me for the last ride." This time everyone in the group started to sing and danced. (the author is not the best at describing dancing so see 1:12 at the video at the top) For a second I thought I saw Sebastian but looking at the video I didn't see him and with how good he is he would be in the front.

The rest of the video went pretty much the same and by the end even Rachel had to amite they were good. “So we have some competition,” Nick said rather matter of factly. “Yes, yes they are,” Thad said while smiling.
“Why are you happy they might win and both of our teams could lose?” santanna said with a bite. Thad shrugged while getting his phone. “A good friend of mine. helped make that choir group so sorry that i'm happy they made it to nationals” Thad said while heading toreds the door. “And i'm going to go make a call.” he finished while exiting the room.
For a few seconds everyone was stunned by how Thad had just sassed someone that could very easily make his life hell. “While that was expected” hunter said while looking at the website.”I didn't know thad knew anyone in central city” Nick said and everyone nodded their heads or made a sound of agrement.
“Well we can ask him later; the Songbirds only have one website but it has links to some of the members' social media,” Hunter said looking up from the screen. “We should look at them too…” Finn was saying till his phone rang. He opened the screen to see he was getting a call.
He looked at the room and answered. “Hello?... yes this is him…. Oh ok so that's when the competition is and where is it going to be located?…… ok thank you for informing us.” We could only hear one side of the conversation but I could tell that it was about when and where we are having nationals. Finn soon hung up
“So where are nationals being held?” i prompet. Finn looked up at us as said “nationals are going to be in Central City Missouri”
