Gaara feels his lips curl into a savage smile.
The ANBU next to him winces.
The chakra in the air grows heavier as he remembers—
Remembers her fire, how her eyes burned and burned and burned, how she snapped through bone and skin and sinewy muscle like it was nothing to her.
He wants it.
He wants to feel the power, to encompass it in his own hands, he wants to possess it.
