-Of Attacks, New Missions, and Duties-
Those that were still conscious stare up at the Kage viewing-box in shock as smoke, steam, and dust fill the air.
Gai steps forward with Kakashi not too far behind. “Lord Hokage—!”
“Leave it to me!” An ANBU Black Ops Member exclaims as he and his team surge past, making their way across the stadium, their arrival giving everyone some form of relief. However, those feelings didn’t last long.
Due to the distance, those still in the stands could barely make out the confrontation taking place and the sudden appearance of four more ninja and a light purple barrier put everyone further on edge.
“That’s a Barrier Ninjutsu...!” Gai murmurs.
Kakashi nods. “They outwitted the ANBU Black Ops, and the ANBU are supposed to be the best.” Kakashi replies.
At his words, both immediately begin to rush forward to help, only to be stopped as another ANBU member lands in front of them, blocking their path.
“Why are you here?! Lord Hokage’s in danger!” Gai questions gruffly.
The ANBU doesn’t reply as they raise up from their crouched position, making a hand-sign. It’s then four Sound Ninja appear from the stands, jumping away from their disguised posts and joining the ANBU below.
“What a nuisance.” Kakashi sneers lowly, taking Amaya’s arm somewhat roughly and pushing her further up the stairs behind him and away from the enemy ninja.
“An enemy masquerading as ANBU Black Ops. So, he was using Genjutsu...” Gai asks rhetorically, trailing off.
“Yeah, there’s no mistake.” Kakashi agrees.
-Meanwhile-
“What’s going on here?” Sasuke grunts, staring up at the purple barrier surrounding the two Kage.
“Stop it, Gaara!”
At Temari’s sudden exclaimation, Sasuke turns back to the redhead in question, watching as the three siblings interacted.
“I must kill him!” Gaara growls, taking another slow step forward.
Kankuro steps in front of him, waving his arms placatingly as he spoke. “There’s no point in continuing this fight.”
“That’s right!” Temari agrees, “Don’t forget our mission!”
Gaara grabs Kankuro’s arm and shoves his brother aside. “Out of my way!” He grunts and Sasuke tenses in his spot, preparing for the redhead’s attack.
Suddenly, a Sand Ninja - who Sasuke recognizes to be the trio’s teacher, Baki - lands in front of them. “What are you three doing now?! Can’t you see the operation’s already underway?!” He asks, clenching his teeth as Gaara grabs his head in pain.
Baki then turns his attention to Sasuke, though he stays in his spot as Genma appears next to the boy.
“What is going on?! Tell me!” Sasuke exclaims, looking up to the Jounin questioningly. However, he doesn’t get his answer as Gaara grunts in pain and falls to his knees, which gained everyone’s attention.
“Gaara!” Temari yelps.
“What’s wrong?” Kankuro asks as he and his sister kneel next to their younger brother.
Temari leans forward slightly, visually checking Gaara’s shoulder. “His wound’s worse than I thought...” she then turns to Baki, “And his chakra’s almost completely drained away.”
“Wait, what about using that—“ Kankuro begins to ask, though Temari cuts him off.
“It’s impossible right now.” She replies, not taking her eyes off of their teacher.
Baki turns to them, glowering at the weak redhead. “You fool! It’s all because you tried to transform before the signal was given!”
“So what do we do now?! We need Gaara for this!” Kankuro questions.
Baki turns his attention to the older siblings. “Gaara’s the trump card of the Village Hidden in the Sand. We have to get him to play his part, no matter what!” He replies before looking away thoughtfully for a moment. “All right, for now, you two take Gaara and tend to his wounds. As soon as his chakra’s been restored, the operation will continue.”
Kankuro nods and crouches next to his brother, slinging the redhead’s arm over his shoulder. “You got it.”
Temari stands with them. “And you, Sensei?”
Baki turns away from them, putting his attention on Genma and Sasuke. “I’m going to take care of these guys.” He replies, taking a small step forward.
“Do you really think that things will go according to your plan?” Genma asks.
“I’ll make sure that they do.” Baki replies and the two stare at each other for a moment. Then, without looking away, he addresses his students. “GO!”
At his order, the three sand siblings immediately turn and flee, scaling the arena wall in no time.
“And is the host of this party, Orochimaru?” Genma asks again, making Sasuke gasp.
Baki smirks. “Don’t know and don’t care... Now, let’s heat things up, huh?”
“Sasuke...” Genma calls, only continuing when the boy looks up at him. “I’m sorry, but the Chunin Exam ends here for you... You’ve already achieved Chunin level. You’re a Leaf Village Shinobi, so put your training to good use.”
“In other words, I’m supposed to take down Gaara, right? Our match continues?” Sasuke questions.
Genma doesn’t turn to look at him. “Just be careful. It’s the real thing now, not a match.”
Sasuke nods and looks around for any more enemies. “What I must do is the same.” He replies before standing. Spinning on his heel, he runs in the opposite direction of both Jounin.
Baki glowers. “Not so fast!” He exclaims, pulling out a few kunai before throwing them after the boy.
Genma does the same, only his kunai deflect Baki’s, making them ricochet and embed into the ground as Sasuke makes it to and scales the arena wall.
“Quite a lot of them, huh?” Kakashi asks, not once removing his gaze form the nin below.
“We’ve been careless, and now even Lord Hokage— Huh?” Gai sneers before turning his attention towards the barrier. “Kakashi, look there, inside the barrier...!”
Kakashi hums and follows his friends gaze, his own expression hardening as he spots a familiar snake-like Sannin standing within the barrier with Lord Third and Kenji. “Orochimaru.”
Amaya gasps and takes a step forward, her heart thudding painfully in her chest. “No...!”
Sakura, having also dispelled the Genjutsu moments prior, shoots up from her seat. “Orochimaru?!” She exclaims, her face paling slightly. ‘Why is he here? Don’t tell me he’s after Sasuke again...?’ At that thought, the pinkette turns to the arena’s ground-level. “Hey, Sasuke—!” She begins, stopping herself with a gasp as she sees the boy nowhere in sight. “He’s— He’s gone!”
Suddenly, two of the four Sound Ninja surge forward, aiming for both girls.
Amaya jerks back in surprise while Sakura gasps and ducks low in her seat, covering her head with both arms. However, before any harm could befall the two Genin, Kakashi intervenes as he cuts down the two nin without any hesitation.
Kakashi - now hovering above Sakura - sends both a close-eyed smile. “Sakura, Amaya, just stay there while I trim the enemies numbers down to size.”
As soon as he says this, chaos ensues. Leaf, Sand, and Sound Ninja alike begin clashing in the stands, the former attempting to avoid the unconscious civilians while the latter two showed no remorse for anyone who got in their way.
Amaya ducks into the row of seats, crouching next to Sakura as Gai backhands a Sound Ninja with a war-cry.
As this was happening, Kakashi takes down two more ninja and nods to her, silently telling her to stay there as he stands back-to-back with Gai in the middle of the aisle.
“Nicely done, but I’m worried about Lord Hokage.” Gai informs lowly.
“Leave it to Minamoto-sama and the ANBU Black Ops.” Kakashi replies. “We have enough to handle here. Besides, Lord Hokage isn’t just some pushover, you know.”
Gai turns his head slightly to look back at him. “Yeah, but...”
Kakashi meets his gaze. “Just remember, Gai, he isthe Hokage. He can handle it.”
The two stare at each other for a moment before their attention is diverted by more Sound Ninja, and once they’re taken care of, Kakashi jumps onto the seat in front of his female students. “Sakura.” He calls, making both girls look up at him. “It was worth teaching you Genjutsu during survival training for the Genin exam. You truly do have a talent for it.”
Sakura sends him a confused look. “Huh?”
Kakashi stands. “Release the Genjutsu and wake Naruto and Shikamaru... Naruto will be delighted, he’ll be getting a mission after such a long time.”
Sakura shares a look with Amaya and turns back to their teacher hesitantly. “What kind of mission?”
“You’ll have to be careful on this one.” Kakashi informs before elaborating further. “It’s the first A-rank assignment since the Land of Waves.” As soon as he finished speaking, another Sound nin attacked, though he deflected and cut them down easy enough.
Sakura and Amaya duck behind the seat as the nin is sent flying over Kakashi’s shoulder, though the pinkette is quick to recover as she pops her head back up to look at him fully. “But, Sensei, what are you doing?! With this battle going on, why send us off on some mission?”
“Sasuke’s chasing Gaara and the other Sand Ninja.” Kakashi informs, remembering back to when he saw the Uchiha leave the arena.
“What...?!”
“Sakura, release the Genjutsu, wake Naruto and Shikamaru, and follow Sasuke.” Kakashi orders again. He then cuts his finger on the kunai in his hand. ‘I feel uneasy about that weird chakra.’ He thought to himself as Sasuke and Gaara’s match came to mind.
“But, then, shouldn’t we wake Ino and Chōji and go in a group?” Sakura asks.
Kakashi returns the kunai into his weapons pouch and looks around at the unconscious spectators suspiciously. “No time, I suspect that many Sound and Sand Shinobi may have already infiltrated this village. Besides, if you have more than the four - sometimes five - ninja essential to a squad, it takes longer to get anything done and becomes more difficult to hide from the enemy...” he then turns to her, “You did learn that in Academy patrol training, didn’t you?”
Sakura nods her head. “Of course!... With four squad members, that means you’ll be coming with us, right?”
Kakashi shakes his head and begins to make hand-signs. “No, I must not leave this place.” He replies before using the back of an unconscious man for his jutsu. “Kuchiyose no Jutsu!”
A seal forms on the mans back followed by a small pop, smoke fills the air before eventually fading to reveal a small pug. Amaya deadpans while Sakura lets out an incredulous, “Huh?”
“Pakkun here will track down Sasuke by scent.” Kakashi informs.
“Wait. Seriously, our fifth member is a puppy?” Sakura asks, still in disbelief.
In response to her question, “Pakkun” jumps up onto the seat in front of the two girls and stares the pinkette dead in the eye, and had the situation been less dire, Amaya would’ve laughed. “All right, listen, little girl. Don’t you dare go around saying I’m just some cute puppy.” He suddenly replies with a deep and gruff voice.
Amaya stares at the dog baffled. ‘It... It talked... Did I hit my head sometime today...?’
Kakashi chooses this time to speak up. “Okay, its time. Sakura, go release the Genjutsu. Amaya, cover her.”
Both girls nod and begin crawling towards the two boys with Pakkun not far behind. Once they reach them, Sakura moves up onto the landing beside Naruto and releases the Genjutsu, making him wake almost instantly.
“Huh...?” The blond grunts, sitting up while rubbing his eyes. “Hey, whats going on, Sakura? Amaya?”
Sakura opens her mouth to speak but gasps as a kunai heads their way. “Get down!” She exclaims, wrapping her arm around the boy and dragging him back down to the floor as Amaya pulls out a weapon of her own to deflect it. “We’ll fill you in later. Just stay down.”
Sakura then turns to Shikamaru and leans over him, a scowl forming on her face when the boy’s eyebrow twitches. “Shikamaru, you were— This whole time?”
Pakkun walks over and bites the boy’s leg, making him shoot up with a cry of pain as he attempts to shake the small pooch off.
Sakura points at the Nara accusingly. “You released the Genjutsu too, you faker! Why were you pretending to be asleep this whole time?!”
Shikamaru picks Pakkun up and begins to mess with the dogs face by pinching and squeezing at its jaws gently. “I didn’t want to get involved. Just give me a break... I couldn’t care less about Sasuke.”
Pakkun growls and bites the boy’s hand, making him cry out in pain a second time.
Amaya huffs and separates the two, holding Pakkun in her lap. “Saa~… Will you two knock it off?! Now’s not the time to be playing around!” She scolds, ducking with the rest as two kunai collide above them.
At this, Naruto looks up, taking in both the fighting and unconscious spectators surrounding them. “What... What is all this? Whoa...”
Suddenly a Sound Ninja appears behind the blond, kunai drawn, ready to cut the boy down.
“Behind you—!” Sakura exclaims, however, she stops herself from moving as Gai appears and slams the nin into the wall.
“So fast...!” The nin grunts, looking down at the Jounin in surprise.
“Not just fast, powerful.” Gai smirks before continuing on with his attack, sending the nin through the wall, leaving behind a massive hole that lead outside.
The four Genin stare at the older male in awe, flinching slightly when Kakashi lands behind them, covering the other direction.
The silver-haired Jounin then speaks. “Now, I’ll explain the mission. As soon as I do, go through that opening... First, track down Sasuke and stop him. Then find a safe location and await further orders.”
“Did something happen to Sasuke?” Naruto asks.
Sakura crawls over to him. “I’ll tell you what happened on the way.” She informs before grabbing the blond’s sleeve, dragging him towards the opening.”
“Why me? What a drag...” Shikamaru groans.
Pakkun turns to him. “Listen, whiner. Look, if this mission is a success, as a reward, I’ll let you touch my paw. Well, my pads. So there’s no reason to sulk.”
Shikamaru deadpans. “What?”
“Come on.” Pakkun drawls in a sing-song voice, holding up one of his paws for emphasis. “They’re really soft.”
“They’re— What?” The Nara asks again, more confused than ever.
Pakkun deflates slightly. “No one ever wants to shake.” He then looks up at the boy determined. “BUT MY PAWS ARE SO SOFT AND SUPPLE!” He yells and when Shikamaru continues to stare, he sighs. “Forget it, lets go.” He groans, bitting the boy’s hand and pulling him to the opening.
Amaya shakes her head with a sigh and moves to follow but Kakashi’s voice stops her.
“Not you, Amaya.”
The four Genin turn to him, though none were as confused at the brunette.
“Sensei...?” Amaya asks, staring up at him curiously.
Kakashi turns his head slightly to look down at her. “You have your own mission.” He informs, making the four go wide-eyed. “Gather the remaining Genin and help evacuate the civilians... No doubt the fighting has spread into the village by now.” He then turns away, not giving her time to ask anymore questions. “Do you remember what I said in the Land of Waves? You’re the supporting pillar of Team 7, and it’s time to be one for the Village... Now, you should know the evacuation procedure by heart, what’s the closet safe point?”
Amaya, resigned to her orders, sighs and looks to the ground thoughtfully. “Besides the hidden evacuation centers scattered around the village, the closet place of safety near here would be the Hokage Monument itself...”
Kakashi nods. “Good.” He then addresses all of them. “Get going!”
Naruto and Sakura turn to their teammate as they slowly back away towards the opening, worried.
Amaya sends them a comforting smile. “Go after that idiot. I’ll find you later.”
Both nod in determination and take off with Pakkun and Shikamaru not far behind.
Amaya watches them go for a moment, her own feelings of dread brewing in her stomach at the separation. However, she quickly shakes it off and makes a hand-sign. “Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!”
Three clones appear next to her and she turns to them, swallowing the lump in her throat before speaking. “Spread out, recon the area and find any Genin able to fight. I’ll grab Ino, Chōji, and my cousins. Tell them to meet us back here, outside of the arena.”
The clones nod and take off, prompting Amaya to turn and head for her former classmates.
***
Gai turns to Kakashi as the Genin separate. “Are they gonna be okay by themselves?”
“Yes, they’ll be fine. Pakkun will protect them. As long as they don’t go too far.” Kakashi replies.
“And Amaya?” Gai asks again.
Kakashi’s eye moves down to where the brunette was speaking to Ino and Chōji in hushed whispers. “I meant what I said. They’ll be fine. Allof them.”
“What...?!“
Amaya shushes the two, making them hunch lower in their seats. “Listen, we can’t stay here, we’ll just get in the way of those fighting. We need to find the others and get moving, the longer we take the more dangerous it becomes for the villagers who can’t defend themselves.”
Ino sighs but nods in agreement. “Okay... What do you need us to do—“
“Hey, wait a minute!” Chōji interjects, making the two girls look at him. “No way! We can’t just run around the village! There’s no way we can take these guys, all of them are way more powerful than us!”
Amaya’s brow twitches and she grabs the boy’s scarf, pulling him closer with a sharp tug. “Chōji, I love ya but it’s time to grow some backbone!” She replies with a snarl, making the two flinch at her temper. “You chose to be a Shinobi, now’s the time to start acting like one! You can’t just pick and choose when or not to fight, and you can’t back down just because you’re scared or worried!” Her eyes then subconsciously flit up to the purple barrier.
Ino follows her gaze. “You’re Dad is up there, right? With the ANBU and Lord Third? Do you thin—“
“It’s not important. They can take care of themselves.” Amaya grunts, shaking her head before turning back to them with a deep sigh. “What isimportant, is if you two are going to help me or not. As Shinobi of the Leaf, it’s our duty to protect the village and it’s people. So what’s it gonna be? Are you gonna help or are you gonna sit here and cower until the fighting’s done?”
Ino and Chōji share a glance, seeming to come to an immediate conclusion as they turn back to the Minamoto in front of them. “Right. We’re in!”
Amaya nods and pulls out a kunai, prompting them to do the same. “I’ve already sent out some clones to find anyone that can help. You two stick together and do the same, meet up with me outside of the arena.”
“Right!”
As the two split off from her, Amaya stands and turns, briefly locking eyes with the ANBUand few Sound Ninja below as she begins to make her way towards where her family was seated for the competition.
-Meanwhile-
“Naruto and the others must have gone to stop Sasuke.” The ANBUmember muses aloud to the ninja around him as they watch the brunette leave. “Amaya must have been given her own orders as well, seeing as she and the other two didn’t go with them.”
“Those brats? Hah! No matter how many little Genin go after him, it won’t do any good.” One of the Sound nins laugh, watching as the male pulls out a stack of cards from his cloak.
The ANBU memberthen picks one and flips it over, revealing data on a certain blond-haired knucklehead.
The same nin grunts in surprise as he looks at the low stats. “Huh? Is this the data on the kid from before? Come on! You give him too much credit.”
“Guess again.” The ANBUreplies, surprising the male to his left. “Underestimate the enemy and you willdie.”
Feeling someone approach her from behind, Amaya reaches into her pouch as she pivots on her heels. Bringing her arm up, her kunai clashes with another with a loud clang. The brunette then looks up and meets the darkened gaze of a Sand Ninja. ‘Saa~… I really don’t have time for this...!’
At that thought, Amaya swipes her arm to the side, slightly shoving the older male away before retreating back herself.
The two stare at each other for a moment before clashing a second time, the sound of their kunai’s echoing the similar fights taking place around them.
Amaya parries off another attack and makes a swipe of her own. However, she isn’t prepared for the nin to grab her arm and pull her close before backhanding her across the face.
Amaya gasps and stumbles back onto the bench, her vision doubling slightly as her eyes began to water due to the pain erupting from her cheekbone. She then looks up, and at the sight of the approaching male, attempts to retreat to the aisle behind her.
The Sand nin takes note of this and grabs the girl’s ankle, roughly pulling her back into the seat as he brought his kunai down for the killing blow.
Panting, Amaya quickly pulls out another kunai and brings it up, blocking the attack.
The male scoffs, and due to being physically larger and having more leverage than the brunette below him, puts more weight onto his weapon, forcing it closer to her throat.
Amaya’s eyes squeeze tightly shut, her heart racing as the strength in her arms began to fade. However, just as the blade’s tip pierced her neck, the nins weight disappears entirely, prompting the brunette to quickly open her eyes.
There, standing protectively in front of her, was a male that looked no older than Kou or Kurai. He had pitch black hair and wore the standard Konohagakure uniform with the sleeves of his shirt rolled up to his elbows.
He turns to her then, his gold colored orbs locking with her blue. “Are you alright?” He asks, his voice soft with concern.
Flushed from the close call, Amaya nods and brings a hand up, pressing it against the small, bleeding cut on her neck. “Y-yes—“ She begins, only to be cut off as Cho appears next to her with Yuichi and Haru not too far behind.
“Amaya!” The white-haired girl exclaims as she gripped the brunette’s arm and tugged her out of the seat. “Are you okay?! That was a close one...!”
Amaya reaches up and plants her free hand on her cousins head. “M’fine... I was on my way to find you guys.” She then sends the trio a confused look. “What are you three doing running around the stadium?”
“The Old Man had the same idea and sent us to look for you. Told us to help you if you needed it.” Haru informs before nodding to the unknown male behind her. “That guy was sitting near us, he apparently knows your brothers so your mom sent him with us just to be safe.”
“Kakashi-sensei wants us to help with the evacuation— We’re... We’re supposed to meet up with the others...” Amaya begins shakily, trailing off when the previous Sand nin from before stands with a grunt as he wiped his bloody nose.
“You four better get going, then.” Amaya’s savior - who she still didn’t know the name of - advises as he lowers into a fighting stance. “I’ll take care of this guy.”
At his words the four Minamoto’s stare at him, backing away hesitantly, reluctant to leave him alone. Realizing this, he looks back at them with a small smile. “Go on.”
Amaya swallows the lump in her throat and nods before turning to the other three, motioning with her head for them to follow. “Lets go.”
“Amaya!” Ino calls out, relieved as she spots the group of Minamoto’s exit the stadium. “We were beginning to get worried, I almost didn’t think you’d show up...”
Amaya smiles softly at the blonde before brushing her bangs from her face, looking around at the gathered Genin. “It was a pain getting out of there unnoticed, but we managed... Is this everyone?”
Kiba nods and also looks around. “I guess so. Hinata and Lee are in no shape to fight and we couldn’t find Shino anywhere... Shikamaru’s missing, too.” He informs, and Akamaru lets out a small bark in agreement.
“Shikamaru went with Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi-sensei’s summoning, Pakkun. They’re going after Sasuke.” Amaya informs, mentally taking in the group before her. ‘Akamaru and Kiba are practically one person... So, including me, that makes thirteen Genin level ninja.’
“So, it’s true then?” Tenten questions rhetorically, gaining the groups attention. “The Village is under attack?”
Amaya nods. “Both Sand and Sound Ninja have infiltrated the Village under the direction of Orochimaru - one of the legendary Sannin. Kakashi-sensei believes fighting has possibly broke out all over the Village, so evacuating the civilians is our top priority as Genin.” She then looks at them thoughtfully. “You all remember the Emergency Protocol for this exact scenario, right?”
“Are you kidding? It was the first thing Iruka-sensei made sure to drill into our heads back in the Academy.” Kiba replies, earning a few nods of agreement from all around.
Amaya grunts and turns to her cousins, having little doubt that they were confused. “Konoha has a protocol in place should the Village ever be attacked— It’s pretty similar to the one in used back home, so it shouldn’t be too confusing.” She informs before counting the steps with her fingers. “Phase One: Eliminate all enemy units... Phase Two: If Phase One is not possible, evacuate every civilian to the nearest shelter hidden throughout the village... And finally, Phase Three: Once evacuation is complete, use any and all forces within the village to eliminate the enemy using our home-field advantage.”
As the three nod in understanding, Neji speaks up from his spot between Hikari and Tenten. “So, what’s the plan?”
“Avoiding the enemy and meeting up with higher-ranking ninja for further instruction is ideal.” Amaya replies as she meets the Hyuuga’s gaze fully. “No matter how capable we are or how big of a group we’re in, most of the ninja involved in the attack are at least Chunin or Jounin level - maybe even higher. Realistically, there’s no way we can match up against them if it comes down to a fight.”
At that, the brunette crouches and pulls out a kunai, using its blade to draw a circle in the dirt. “Lets say this is the wall surrounding the village.” She then places a few pebbles inside the shape. “These rocks will represent the Stadium - where we are now - and any other major landmarks.”
Amaya then looks up at the group, and after receiving a few acknowledging nods she continues by drawing two large lines through the circle, separating the village into four quadrants. “We’ll divide the village up into four sections and split up into teams. Each team will scout and evacuate their own chosen area.”
“Who should be on what team? We have an uneven number of people...” Tenten questions.
Amaya glances up at her before allowing her gaze to trail over the group. “It’d be best if you stuck with someone who’s fighting style and jutsu you know best...“ She replies and looks to the three Minamoto’s beside her. “I’ll send a clone with you three, since you don’t know where the shelters are. I want you guys to focus on the third section... The Minamoto Compound is one of the main settlements in that area, so you should easily know your way around.”
“Sounds good.” Yuichi hums compliantly, speaking for both himself and the other two.
Amaya then turns to Ino, Chōji and Kiba. “You guys take the fourth section, it’s mostly training grounds, so it shouldn’t take you long.”
“That leaves the first two sections for us then.” Hikari mumbles thoughtfully.
Amaya nods and stands, sending them all a solemn smile. “Those of us left are better prepared for confrontation - we have the skill sets for it - and our varying jutsu could give us the advantage... But if anyone has any better ideas, I’m open to hear them. If there’s a better and less dangerous way of doing this, I’d rather we do that instead.”
“It’s fine.” Neji reassures, shaking his head. “It’s dangerous no matter how you look at it and we don’t have time.”
“He’s right.” Hikari agrees, sending the brunette a smile. “We’ll go with you.” She informs, nodding her head towards Kazuki and Tetsuya.
“I’ll team up with Neji and Tenten.” Eijiro adds. “Our fighting styles are similar, so I won’t slow them down. I can make up for the spot Lee left behind.”
Amaya gives the group another once over before nodding. Standing, she puts her kunai away and takes a step back. “Lets get to it, then.”
