Maps
The game these maps are from is Sunshineverse, a game I created several years ago but which has since closed down, and plans to reactivate it ended up falling through. These maps are something I made at that time with a bit of help for the texturing and placement of the countries and canon towns from friends, and I'm going to say that the general map is more or less accurate to my research at the time (I include nothing of Boruto intentionally as I have yet to see or read any of it, these were made back in like, the mid 20teens) and the only exceptions to this on the primary map are this:
One, Where 'Whirlpool' is is actually part of Bears in the main canon timeline stuff, and New Uzushio does not exist accordingly. In the game, Uzushio was rebuilt on the mainland after it was destroyed on their island which is their only actual territory. Where it says Uzushio Ruins is actually the only area that is Whirlpool in the canon before its destruction.
The Second point is that the 'seal points' are an invention entirely by myself for the game, but have since become something that were established by the Uzumaki in my general headcanons instead of the way they came about in the game setting. These are, in the instance of the Uzumaki, a form of 'living seal' and there would, in the case of my default headcanons, be one on Uzushio as well that can only be accessed by an Uzumaki post-destruction. Similarly, there are probably dozens more seals than are featured here by that same token.
Here is the link directly to the full-sized map instead.
Similarly to the map above, I also made some simple maps for the game that can easily be used as a reference for the layout of the various main hidden villages. I'll upload the versions with reference numbers for most of them, but I'll do Konoha both with, and without, said numbers for people to use, as I imagine it's the one people might most need a reference for. Please note that these maps were made without the Kyuubi destroying the village when Naruto was born! You may, of course, use them as a post-Kyuubi or post-Pein sort of map, but this is how I envisioned the village pre-destruction in its natural sprawl.

17. Aviary- Equipped with bigger birds than the typical aviary, anyone can use them to send letters and packages.

22. Archives- This is where all paperwork comes to live once it's no longer readily relevant.
30. ANBU Headquarters- ANBU are trained, sleep, and live in this building from the day they come into the day they leave the force to the normal Shinobi forces.
Public Service Buildings

Recreation and Training
5. Hot Springs- In winter this place is practically overflowing with people, but it's not exactly slow in spring either.
6. Park- This park is a nice open area where people can look at the trees in summer, but in winter it turns into a place for an army of snowmen during the snow-building competition.
11. Stadium- When the Chunin Exams come around, this is where the feats of skill get shown off.
12. Waypoint- This tower is a standing monument to the exams, and every year it's held, potentials are sent here before being led blindfolded into the mountains. They have to return to this tower to move on.
A-E. Training Areas- These are varied areas for training open to everyone in the village.
F-G. Guest Training Areas- These are a pair of small training areas set aside for guests. Most other people don't bother with them unless there is absolutely nowhere else open.
Shopping and Dining
3. Cocoa Shop- A shop that sells more drinks than just its name, it's also incredibly well known for its range of cookies.
4. Fine Dined- This place's name is somewhat deceptive because it's less fine dining and more simply excellent food. Hearty and filling is the goal here.
7. Ryou Filter- This place is known for drinking money... but then, it's a gambling hall so that's expected.
8. Winter Emporium- This store caters to winter worries. Roof reinforcement, window covers, heavy coats, candles, and firewood. This is the place to go for it all.
9. The Alehouse- Did someone say alcohol? This place has the best, with several locally brewed styles not found anywhere else in the elemental nations... and the food is good too.

26. The Tradehouse- A unique feature, this building is a place where you can come with whatever goods you have, be it food, weapons, or blankets, and trade it with anyone who will make a deal with you. No complaining. The management takes strong exception to people who try to go back on a deal without good reason.
27. Pretty Pets- The pet store of Iwa! Admittedly, it doubles as a place for nin-animals without a home, but what can you do?
28. Winsome Wonder- This music store sells both instruments and things to play recordings on, but the big attraction is the atrium out back where small concerts can be played.

Please note that all buildings are built around and inside cliff faces, including personal dwellings. Because of this, there are many stairways inside the mountains and rope bridges between important areas.
Places indicated by reference points grouped by function
Ninja Services and Administration
1. Raikage Office- Administrative Ahoy! The Raikage has the best view, but the deeper you go into the mountain, the more administrative everything you find.
2. Library- Placed on one of the taller mountains, it's something of a hike to get up to it, and there are many little shops and residences scattered along the cliffs underneath it. But hey, if you want a book they have, it's worth it, right?
4. Academy- Where young shinobi to be are trained up! It's not unheard of for families with young kids to get priority in the housing surrounding the school, since no one wants there to be a falling accident. Thus, it's rare to have a family living nearby that doesn't have at least one child.
5. Intelligence- Set on a comfortably hard to get to bit of mountain, this building is where prisoners are dragged and spy networks are maintained from.
7. Watchtower- Located on the most vulnerable section of the village, this perch serves as a lookout and checkpoint for anyone coming into the village. State your business.
15. Archive- Kept on the upper slant away from the flood areas, this is where all reports and files end up.
17. ANBU Headquarters- Secured more underground than most of the village buildings, the ANBU headquarters are where the ANBU all train and work, most of the time.
24. Aviary- The birds are friendly, and there are almost never any issues getting to them. They also know to bring replies right to the person who sent them out instead of making people haul off to the aviary to check.
Public Service Buildings
3. Hospital- Carefully placed essentially smack dab in the middle of the village, this building probably has the most bridges of any. Then again, it's a hospital. It's well-loved.
Recreation and Training
9. Training Plateau- The most popular in-village training area, the plateau is just like it sounds. A nice big flat space of rock. Please be careful, there aren't handrails.
11. Arena- Chunin exams ahoy! Of course, there are also periodic game events hosted here, and its another place to train, so there's that.
22. Music Hall- Music music everywhere! The top level is a performance area that's rather spacious and conducts sound beautifully. The under-level seels instruments and music sheets, as well as recordings.
25. Public Baths- This is one of the lower buildings in the village, mainly because it's wide and smack on top of its mountain with a fine canopy overhead to keep out prying eyes. It's nevertheless a popular place to go.
Shopping and Dining
13. Grand BBQ House- What it says on the tin, people. This is the best place to get meat off the grill and BBQed both, though it's unfortunate to say it's a bit pricey because small game is easier to come by in the area than big.
16. Grocery- Need groceries? These guys can help. Come here for all your home shopping needs. They'll even help you carry it home!
18. Weapons and Leather- A shinobi supply store! These guys cover weapons, and by that, they have a line on an excellent supply of swords, as well as armor, exploding tags, and a vast variety of other shinobi goods.
20. Grand Boutique- Clothes, clothes everywhere. Shinobi grade fashion friendly is the style of the day, and you can special order anything you want in any color if they can't satisfy you off the rack.
21. Art Emporium- Half and half art museum and art store, you can buy pretty much everything in this building, and have fun looking at it too. Most sales displays are tactically placed around art that used those mediums to be created.
23. Movie Theater- Placed high up over the water, and admittedly taking a bit of ambition to get to, the movie theater nonetheless is worth the jaunt, as the surround sound system is excellent.
Residential
6. Jounin Waystation- Need a place to crash for a day or three? Between missions and don't want to bother with an apartment? This is where you want to be! If you're a jounin anyway.
8. Foreign Housing- Coming to visit Kumo? They have a mountainside just for you. Enjoy that wonderful view.
10. Flood Retreat- Some points of the village just didn't manage to get the elevation needed to keep them out of the flood-path when waters rise in the spring. While people have learned, and building low enough for this to be a problem is rare, there is still the odd flood season that wipes out the lower buildings. People have to live somewhere while their house gets relocated. Again.
14. Raikage Residence- The Raikage have all traditionally lived here... usually with the eight tails jinchuuriki.
Clan Holdings and Compounds
12. Nii Residence- Most notable because of their abilities, this clan often has been given the honor of housing the two tails, and as such have an excellent reputation.
19. Yotsuki Estate- Known often as the right-hand family of Kumo, they're one of the groups that are known for their name and are rather proud of it. They even have a nice estate with satellite buildings.

3. Library- Focused on primarily ninja-related research, there are both open access and restricted areas.
4. Intelligence Department- Intel is closely guarded and no one may enter this building without the proper clearance. Somewhere within this building is also the home of the Cypher Division, Kiri's secret intelligence squad, but very few know anything about it.
6. Aviary- The building houses birds used for carrying messages over long distances. They are primarily used for ninja-related purposes, but can be utilized by civilians as well.
7. Academy- This is the school where children are trained to be ninjas. In the not-so-distant past, academy students were forced to kill each other in order to graduate. The practice was discontinued when the entire graduating class of students was massacred by (non-student) Momochi Zabuza.
10. Anbu/Hunter Nin Facility- The barracks, training fields, and administrative offices for ANBU and the Hunter Ninja (a unique division of ANBU tasked with hunting down Kiri's extensive list of missing nin) are housed here.
Public Service Buildings
24. Hospital- ...KIRI NIN DON'T NEED NO HOSPITAL. THEY BITE OFF THEIR OWN TONGUES. THEY KILL THEIR CLASSMATES IN THE HUNGER GAMES! HOSPITAL, PFFT. BANDAGES? WE DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' BANDAGES! Kiri ninjas may rarely seek out medical attention, but just in case they really need it, a hospital staff is on hand. If they forget to dose patients with painkillers...well, they're just toughening them up.
Recreation and Training
14. Hot Springs- Publicly accessible hot springs, perfect for a good soak.

20. Restaurant Lane- An area known for its eateries.
23. Leisure District- Stroll through this district where shopping, entertainment, and restaurants are all found in one place.
Residential
5. Mizukage Mansion- Home of the Mizukage, this is a well-guarded and well-furnished residence that very few are permitted access to.
17. Guest Lodgings- When non-residents visit Kiri, this is where they stay. The area is well-guarded, but not for the benefit of the guests.
Clan Holdings and Compounds
8. Terumi Estate- Home of the Terumi family, notably Terumi Mei. The family possesses the kekkei genkai for Lava Release ninjutsu and Boil Release ninjutsu.
9. Ameyuri Estate- Home of the Ameyuri family; weapon makers and sellers, they pride themselves on having the best forges in the village.
11. Hoshigaki Compound- Family home of Hoshigaki Kisame, the "Monster of the Hidden Mist."
12. Hozuki Holdings- Lands held by the Hozuki Clan, whose specialty is the Hydrification Technique. This was the clan of the second Mizukage, Hozuki Gengetsu.

21. Funato Dock- Homes and shops held by the pirates of Kirigakure. This clan is known for its ability to vanish into the ocean if there is any undue pressure placed on them as a group.
22. Kaguya Estate- Residence of the Kaguya Clan, whose skilled members have been in decline because of their high instances of turning on their handlers. There hasn't been a viable member of this clan in public in several years.
Otogakure
Link directly to the village image
Otogakure, given its ambiguous nature in canon and the fact we almost exclusively see outposts rather than the village proper, is clearly an invention almost entirely of my own in this particular instance. Red areas are aboveground, purple are below. Otogakure is mostly located underground, and because of this, most of the area in their 'village' above ground is used for training, thus making it seem very empty.
Places indicated by reference points grouped by function
Ninja Services and Administration
8a, 8b. Cell blocks- On the other side of a locked door, the cell blocks are where prisoners are kept... as well as the odd Oto shinobi who dramatically failed a mission.
22. Administrative Hall- This is where Orochimaru runs things from, giving missions and keeping files.
24. Academy Training- This is the area where all the youngest in the village come for their training in the basics. Only the non-Jutsu, non-weapon stuff of course. That gets taken topside.
Public Service Buildings
2. Civilian Administration- Above-ground, this is the civilian area where all missions and shipments for the shinobi get check-pointed, and where all information pertaining specifically to civilian matters is stored.
10. Medical Bay- Located right next to the public lab, there is always someone here willing to experiment and treat people.
23. Public Kitchens- Because most rooms in the village don't have kitchens, this huge space is devoted entirely to having people cook in it. Beware, if you store your goods here someone might make off with them.
Recreation and Training
4. Bathhouse- Kept above-ground, this luxurious area has deep pools and pristine water that anyone can use.
21. Music Hall- This is where people come to use their jutsu for non-aggressive purposes of actual, you know, music.

6. Noodle Shop- Above-ground. The other restaurant in Oto, this one is where you can get every sort of tea imaginable, sweets, and of course, the noodles. They have more than just ramen and udon here, so enjoy.
16. Seamstress Station- A pair of nin from a family who learned to move inanimate objects, they, unfortunately, don't have enough power to use it properly for combat, so they instead turned to sewing. Any clothing anyone needs can be gotten here, just bring an idea of what you want.
19. Bar- Kept near one of the village entrances, this bar is run by a crippled shinobi who is still incredibly good with her hands. She also has excellent taste in liquor.
20. Gambling Deck- Run on rotation by different shinobi in the village, every night depends on who happens to be the one running things. There are different games along the walls, but it's really the card and dice games people come for.
Residential
1. Civilian Housing- Above-ground, this is where the civilians who live permanently in the village all stay.
17. Elite Rooms- If you're in Orochimaru's good books, you get access to this luxurious set of rooms.
18. Orochimaru's Rooms- He can be found here reading or sleeping, though usually, those who bother him here have the questionable concern that they hopped a line.

12. Food Storage- Stockpiled food is kept here, and the room is specially sealed to make storage a matter of stasis so nothing rots.

Much like Oto, there isn't a fixed canon angle on the village, but much like Suna, there is a general pan over in a few places and it's from there that I drew this map. All buildings in Amegakure not used for training are at least three stories tall. They also have simple chakra-based lifts that you can feed chakra into to make go up and down. They only are big enough for two people at a time.

Ninja Services and Administration
1. Watch Spire- This is the tallest point in Amegakure, and stands several floors higher than any other building. It's two skyways go to the Library, and the Governance Building.
2. Aviary- Due to the wet nature of the village, all birds are capable of flying easily in wet weather with watertight cases.
5. Library- The lower floors are inaccessible from the outside, with a stairway going up to the third floor, and the skyways of this building are in the private library areas. Everything below the stairway is a private jutsu library and an array of fragile works that need to be kept in controlled conditions and are not accessible to the public without authorization. One skyway goes to the spire, the other goes to the Archives.
9. Archives- Kept away from the Library it's connected to, the Archives are everything related to missions that need to be written down and archived.
10. Intelligence Department- The God of Ame may be powerful and all-seeing, but he still needs people to be able to act on that information and to feed him information from other countries. All of the work related to that goes on here. This building is connected by a skyway to the Weapon Stores.
17. Academy- This building uses space in a way that allows every year to be devoted to a year of students, with the ground floor being devoted to adults wishing to learn to fight, and the various years of students from least experienced at the bottom to most experienced at the top, rotating up each season.
21. Governance Building- This is the building where people go with petitions, to get missions, and when they need to see Pein or Konan for anything at all. The building has skyways to the Spire and the Artist Hall.
29. Laboratory- Restricted in access, this building is devoted to experiments of varying kinds, and is very carefully monitored to make sure no one abuses any privileges they have acquired to use it. It's linked by skyway directly to Nagato's home, though there is a locked and sealed door on his end so that his home cannot be entered without permission.
Public Service Buildings
16. Hospital- Set close to the training areas, this building is often used and abused by the shinobi who come rolling in. The staff does the best they can, but the technology, at least, isn't outdated as it is in some places. It has skyways linking it to both a major residential area and to one of the nicer rice places.
Recreation and Training
19. Bath House- Unconventional due to there being four floors, this building nonetheless is carefully reinforced and sealed so that there is no risk of collapse. There is no peaking as plants have been lovingly planted along the windows on each floor so that an open feel can be maintained in an enclosed space. The bottom floor is for family groups with children, the second floor is for men, and the third is for women. The top floor has hot soaking mixed baths which are individual tubs instead of open areas like the other three floors. There are plant and paper partitions between tubs on this floor.
20. Artist Hall- This building is devoted to art. Painting, sculpting, music, they can all be found on the various floors, either being done, on the lower floors, or being displayed on the upper floors. In the case of music, the top floor is for accomplished performances, and those learning are at the very bottom floor, so there's no risk of hearing one when you go to do the other. It's linked directly to the Governance Building by skyway.
22-25. Training Buildings- Each stands at two stories tall, and are the shortest buildings in Amegakure, these buildings are nearly hollow inside, and are open to any shinobi in the village to use for practice.
30. Outdoor Training Area- The only outdoor training facility within the walls of the village.
Shopping and Dining
3. Aoto's Eaterie- A restaurant best known for its stews, though they also have fabulous curries. The top floor has a bridge that goes across to a candy store.
6. Paper Store- Due to Ame's uneasy trade situation, paper of any kind tends to be pricey, so here is where people go to share their wares, be it handmade or commercial.
7. Book Store- Books, magazines, comics, all of them are found here for the intelligent buyer. Sometimes older library books that are in disrepair will be handed over to be sold at a discount. The bridge here goes across to a residential housing block.
11. Weapon Stores- Each level of this building features another store, and each one specializes in a different breed of weapon. You're sure to find what you need. This is connected by Skyway to both the Intelligence Department and the Clothing Depot.
12. Supply Station- This building is devoted to supplies. Each floor is a different kind, and you can find kitchen, camping, mission, and art supplies on the various floors.
13. Clothing Depot- This building is a marvelous place to find anything made of cloth or leather. From the heavy armor store on the top floor, to the light daywear on the bottom floor you are sure to find anything you could possibly need on your body here. The skyway of this building connects to the Weapon Depot.
14. The Grocery- This is the only place in the village you can find groceries. It's got different stores for different things, from vegetables, to bread, to snack food, you can find it here. If it's in the village that is. This is linked by Skyway to the Greenhouse.
18. Movie Theater- One of the few things that have been tenaciously chased, there are regular showings of movies in Ame, and each floor is carefully arranged to maximize how many movies can be seen and how often.
26. Restaurant Sector- The name is misleading, as this building is right next to the governmental nexus of the city, and while it does contain several restaurants, it also happens to be surrounded by game shops and leisure areas of that nature. It's linked by skyway to the jounin housing.
Residential
4. Nagato's Residence- This particular building houses all of his Paths when he is not using them and is space shared with Konan.
8. Guest Accommodations- Ame rarely has visitors, but it's very easy to keep an eye on them in this building, which even has a breakfast place on the ground floor.
27. Jounin Housing- This is a set of buildings where Jounin are welcome to live, either as singles or as families, with the top floor being a rotating suite with rooms for temporary post and pre-mission lodging. There is a skyway leading to the primary Restaraunt Sector of the city.
28. Akatsuki Housing- This area is devoted to the Akatsuki who have sworn themselves to Ame and their families, and is basically a reward to the elite who have made it to his top ranks. There are skyways throughout the area.
Miscellaneous
15. Greenhouse- This building has more windows than any other building on the floor, and sunlamps are rigged lining all the ceilings at varying angles. This is Ame's bid to try to keep their village, and sometimes the country as a whole, fed. It's connected by skyway to the Grocery.
New Uzushiogakure
Link directly to the village image
I cannot stress enough that this map was made with the intent of being a map for a rebuilt version of Uzushio, not the original variant of it. I might, at some point, make a map for my view of old Uzushiogakure as the village is much bigger, more detailed, and varied than this smaller village can possibly convey.

ANBU Facilities
1a. ANBU Headquarters- Where all instruction, mission assignments, and supplies are kept and distributed. This building also serves as the medical facility for ANBU. As with anything associated with ANBU, this location has highly restricted access.
1b. ANBU Living Space- Basically a barracks for anyone in ANBU.
1c. ANBU Training Area- A private, cordoned-off area only to be used for ANBU due to the danger involved in mingling their techniques outside that zone at that level.
Ninja Services and Administration
2. Library and Archives- The archives are found on the higher levels, but the main floor is an open-access library anyone can add to and borrow from.
5. Academy- What it says on the tin. Unlike many villages, students of all ages can be found at this facility, but they're still all students of the shinobi arts.
6. Administrative Building- The leader of the village is often found here, and this is where missions are distributed and reports are received.
Public Service Buildings
13. Hospital- Newly secured, the hospital has room to grow in a two-story building with what is currently a small staff. But they have plenty of rooms, so don't think they won't check you in.
Training and Recreation
A-E Partitioned Lots- While most of these are used as training areas, and set up accordingly, these zones are readily convertible for any overflow, such as if more housing needs to be built.
Harbor
3. Lighthouse- Several flights of incredibly steep stairs carved into the cliff face leading up to this massive structure.
4. Old Uzushio Ruins- Off this coast, the waters are extremely treacherous and nearly impassable. There are still repercussions of the fall of the previous village, and whirlpools are among the many hazards.
7. Check-in Office- If you're coming in by boat, you have to go through this building area first before they'll let you go any further. They'll check your papers, verify your purpose for being in the village, and then escort you to your destination or accommodations for your stay before releasing you, if you're not a resident, that is.
8a, 8b. Passenger Ship Docks- To reduce confusion and port congestion, all passenger ships arrive at these docks. They are slightly smaller than the merchant and cargo docks.
9a, 9b, 9c. Merchant and Cargo Docks- The larger of the two docks, these are built for large ships that come bearing goods.
10. Shipping District- This area is where merchants check in and store their goods in one of several large storage buildings.
Shopping and Dining
11. Restaurant Square- A series of closely-built buildings mark this zone. The ramen shop, located in the building that houses four eateries, is exceptionally popular.
12. Shopping District- The goods coming in have to be sold somewhere, and this is the place. Clothes, books, and weapon supplies can all be found in this market area.
