Avoidance
Agatha and Rio were never married, but in Agatha's mind, they were. Yet again, if you were with someone for over 40 years that's basically marriage.
After Nicky's death, Agatha didn't know what to do other than steal the powers of others, she had lost everything that really mattered to her; her son and the woman she loved. It's not like she would let herself process that grief, though.
To avoid grieving, her usual deal was killing others, as the rush of power made her forget for a brief moment. When she couldn't, something she enjoyed doing was having sex. It helped get her mind off of things, release emotions, and to get rid of the lack of Rio in her life, something to stop missing her. It's not something she was able to do often, finding women who weren't straight or weren't in the closet was difficult, specifically during the 1800's. That became less of an issue, eventually.
She didn't care who they were, she just needed something other than murder to help her.
As of now, she was having sex with a British agent. Agatha hadn't bothered to remember what her name was, it didn't matter much to her. The only thing she did know is that her face was between her thighs, and she was loving it. Her tongue was lapping at her clit, and she probably was about to insert her fingers in, until,
"Good girl..Rio,"
And just like that, Agatha was already scrambling for her clothing so she could get out of there as fast as possible.
As she walked back to her place that night, she cursed herself for doing that. It's not like she gave two shits about the woman she was sleeping with, but she hated how often she thought about Rio when she was with others, how much she missed her, needed her. It was even worse when anyone knew that she had an ex that she missed, even when she barely knew them.
She buried her head in her hands and sighed heavily.
'Why do I want her? After what she did?'
Agatha wanted nothing to do with Rio, she didn't even want to think about her, but it wasn't possible. She really, really didn't want to love her, but she couldn't help herself.
Years pass, and almost nothing changed. She still slept around, killed witches, the usual. The only thing different now, was that she had the darkhold. Now, she wouldn't have to worry about Rio finding her in any way, she was free.
Or so she thought.
Ever since she cast the spell to keep her away, Rio was on her mind constantly, it was eating away at her.
Whenever she yearned for her to be there, holding her, kissing her, making love to her, she tried to think about everything bad Rio has done to her, but she could only think of one thing. Other than what happened with Nicky, Rio was the perfect partner for Agatha, and that being the only thing that she could remember, she opted not to think about it instead. She didn't want to think about Nicky. Grieving wasn't necessary.
She was lucky when she found out that the use of chaos magic was in Westview, which was just a few towns away from where she lived at the moment. It gave her something better to do, a new quest for power.
She had been fascinated with the idea of The Scarlet Witch ever since she acquired the darkhold, and when she found out that she was attractive as well, she couldn't tell if she was in love or not.
Whatever she was feeling, it had only been less than 1/3 of what she felt with Rio. Even if they were stronger, she had to come up with some way to take her powers.
One idea she had was to seduce her, which was her favorite idea. However, once she heard how Wanda talked about her husband, she doubted that she'd be willing to cheat.
'That's a shame.' Agatha thought when it first happened, 'She's missing out.'
She just decided to fuck around and mess things up(which she was doing already) until it was a good time to reveal herself to her. When she killed Sparky, she didn't expect Wanda to react the way she did. She expected that she'd rewind the show as usual, but she didn't.
And she was given a brief hope that maybe, just maybe, Wanda could fix the dead.
God, how she'd love that power. She'd do anything to bring him back.
Anyways, she couldn't do that, and saying that it was a disappointment to Agatha would be a huge understatement. But seeing Wanda presumably happy with the person she loves and her kids..
It's everything she had ever wanted.
Agatha avoided women with children up. until this point, she didn't want to think about what she could have had.
After she attempted to steal the powers of The Scarlet Witch and she was put under the hex, she barely remembered anything.
Except when she showed up again.
While she was under the hex, she barely remembered her, but she couldn't shake the feeling that there was something else going on. And when it broke, she hadn't expected Rio to break into her house almost immediately after and fight her.
And wow, did that fight turn her on.
Being pinned against the wall, her climbing on top of Rio, the choking, the dagger, Rio licking her hand.. everything was so hot to her. Much more than it was when she was with those countless other women.
She had regretted it back then, sure, but now she felt it more.
It wasn't the only emotion she felt, there were many others, and regretting everything that had previously happened was the least of her concerns.
She was mad - mad that Rio had come back. Mad that whenever she looked at her, she saw him. Mad that she still was deeply in love with her. She was hot and bothered, she was yearning, and so much more.
She really wish she had even just a lick of time to process it all before the Teen she accidentally kidnapped had asked about the Witches road.
