Sana has liked Mina for a long time.
Not that she would ever say it out loud.
Never.
You could say it's a well-kept secret. Thanks to her affectionate and outgoing personality, it makes it easier to cover up those ignored feelings.
After all, they are coworkers.
The fact that Sana is Mina's boss only complicates things a bit. Human Resources hasn't actually approved the paperwork yet for those people who are together within the company, even though Sana has already pushed time and time again to get the paperwork done.
Relationships between co-workers is still forbidden.
So Sana has yet another reason to keep it to herself.

It's one of those nights when Sana is forced to fall asleep in her office.
Her entire system is pure caffeine and junk food. On more than one occasion she felt dizzy, but she can't stop.
There is too much paperwork to keep track of (proposals, legal documents and weekly reports) and too much budget to keep track of.
Sana sent Mina away a couple of hours ago, as she knows her secretary was just like her. And it really wouldn't do any good for both of them to be tired.
Now Sana is taking a break, or something like that actually. She has her head thrown back on her chair and her hands on her face. Her eyes itch from reading for so many hours and her right hand hurts from signing and proofreading.
She just wants to sleep.
"Sana."
She jumps up, eyes wide open as she looks ahead of her. Mina is there.
Why is Mina there here?
"Mina? I thought you were home."
"Does that even matter? You can't tell me you're not happy to see me" Mina smiles at her and Sana immediately melts.
"No, no. You're right" Sana cocks her head "You came to keep me company?"
"You need to rest" Mina walks over to her and places her hand on her cheek, Sana leans in, closing her eyes. "You've been working for hours, you deserve the rest."
Sana hums softly, her breathing becoming slow. "Will you be here when I wake up?"
"Of course."
"Thank you" Sana opens her eyes and rests her chin on Mina's palm "You're making me like you more than I need to" she confesses in a whisper that quietly echoes due to the silence in the office.
"I know" Mina pulls her to her chest, her hands moving to Sana's tense shoulders "I know."
"Good" Sana snuggles into her chest, content with the closeness.
It doesn't take her long to fall asleep, feeling so light and comfortable.

"Mrs. Minatozaki?" there's a shake on her shoulder that wakes Sana up.
"Sana."
"Hm? Mina?" Sana opens her eyes lazily, meeting Mina's worried face.
"Did you sleep over here?"
"Uh, yeah," Sana replies, running a hand over her face, yawning.
Mina sighs, frowning momentarily. "It's still early. Go to the cafeteria and have some breakfast. You have a meeting with the department heads today, remember?"
Sana groans, throwing her head back. "I'm so tired. I thought you knew."
Mina lets out a giggle. "Come on, you have to eat."
Sana reluctantly gets up from her chair, feeling her body heavy. Mina wraps her arms around her waist for a few seconds as she opens the office door for her. The sudden touch reminds Sana that Mina had come to see her in the evening to urge her that she should rest.
"Mina?"
"Yes?"
"Thank you" Sana thanks heartily. "I needed it."
Mina smiles at her, thinking she meant breakfast. "It's the least I can do for you. Yesterday when you kicked me out I could barely fall asleep. Can you believe I dreamed about the paperwork?" Mina chuckles as they walk to the elevator.
"How long have you been here?"
"Hm, ten minutes? I was going over today's schedule and let you rest a little longer."
Sana nods, processing her words. The way Mina was talking to her and the constant blinking makes her realize that Mina has actually just recently been awake.
Had Mina really been with her last night?
"So, I guess you didn't get that much rest then?" She asks subtly.
"I'd say I did get some rest. It was the first time in weeks that I slept from commuting. I feel pretty rested."
Sana's cheeks immediately redden. Mina wasn't with her last night.
"That's good to hear" Sana gulps while Mina politely smiles at her.
Was it someone else then?
It couldn't be, because no one would answer by Mina's name.
Was she so tired that she hallucinated with Mina?
God, she's indeed so in love.
