Chapter 5: Mutual Growth
After the crisis, something changed between them. Ellen began to trust Anya more, not only as a colleague but also as a friend and ally. For her part, Anya learned that she didn’t always need to "fix" others; sometimes, she just needed to be there for them.
As they finished the final details of the project, Ellen looked at Anya with a small smile.
"Thanks for not giving up on me."
Anya returned the smile. "Thanks for letting me try."
Together, they understood that, although they couldn’t change their past, they could build a brighter future. And they would do it, one prosthesis, one conversation, and one step at a time.
