Summary
Hello! These are just little snippets and scenes that come from the infamous Training Trip of Taylor Hebert. Some are for fun, some are canon, but all are meant to be an insight into how one young Parahuman became what she is today!
Note
Question: What happened once Taylor heard and fully comprehended her own Name? The following is (mostly) non-canon.
All Chapters

Interdimensional Vigilante Justice

Taylor *donning dramatic dark robes*: Vortex, what the hell is up with all the props? I mean, you can scare the shit out of people with a glare! Literally! I've seen you do it!

Vortex: Taylor, Taylor, Taylor...for all your time as a Supervillain, you failed to learn what is more important than any sort of rep or payday.

Taylor: And I suppose that you're going to share with me that particular but of brilliance?

Vortex: Of course! That is why we're here after all. The most important thing to anyone trying to make a proper impact is, of course, presentation!

Taylor *groans*: How long have you been saving that little nugget?

Vortex: Oh, about thirty years. Now come on. I have a king to give a piece of my mind to.

Taylor: Hold up, let me just secure the sash to be properly intimidating. If we're doing this, we're doing it right.

*In a castle courtyard, filled with various members of the local nobility and two Japanese women.*

King Salutania *frowning at his eldest son*: ...But what has Lady Aira done? She has yet to accomplish a single thing.

*Before the younger red head could reply, a massive sphere of energy appeared. It soon became a portal of solid golden light, revealing two darkly robed figures. The taller one approached the king, apparently unconcerned by the various knights now surrounding their ruler.*

Robed Figure: Are you King Siegfried Salutania?

King Salutania: I am. Who are you? What are you doing here?

*Ignoring the question, the figure turned to a young looking man with beautiful features and shining blue hair.*

Robed Figure: Are you Grand Magus Yuri Drewes?

Grand Magus *Clearly curious about the magic used*: Oh? I usually don't need to introduce myself these days.

*Nodding, the figure snapped his fingers. Strange black bands that seemed to absorb the light surrounded each figure's wrists out of thin air. They both looked shocked, but the Grand Magus also appeared pained.*

Robed Figure *Unmoved by their reactions*: King Siegfried Salutania, Grand Magus Yuri Drewes. You have both been tried and found guilty of kidnapping, coercion, unlawful imprisonment and emotional abuse. Your punishment will be the permanent loss of your magic, sentence to be carried out immediately.

Prince Kyle: What is the meaning of this?!

Robed Figure: We are agents of the Interdimensional Branch of the Shadow Proclamation. Your kingdom's abuse of the Saint Summoning Ritual was noted, but it has taken us this long to backtrack your location. We investigated the actions surrounding the ritual, and determined that it was not acceptable under the current limitations of Interdimensional Law. Therefore, those most directly responsible for the crime are to be punished.

Prince Kyle: Abuse? Kidnapping? What foolishness are you spouting?!

Robed Figure: What would you call plucking random women from another dimension, informing them that they had special powers, and would now be expected to use them to protect the people who abducted them away from their families and former lives?

Prince Kyle *remembering just what his ward has gone through after coming to his kingdom*: Well...

Robed Figure: To be an acceptable summoning spell, a ritual must be limited to the specific party or parties needed to solve the problem, return said parties once their obligations are met or, barring that, offer a chance to refuse. Instead, your country summoned two different people without giving them the opportunity to say no, just because of self serving desperation. There must be consequences for such ill conceived actions.

King Salutania: I see. So you claim that this is our punishment? Even though it was intended to save the lives of our people?

Robed Figure: What right did you have to put your own burden onto those who had nothing to do with the situation? Offering pretty words and nice dresses after the fact does not erase your crimes!

*At that, the older Japanese woman raised her hand.*

Sei Takanashi: Excuse me, but could I ask a couple of questions?

Robed Figure: Of course, Miss Takanashi. You are classed as a victim in all this.

Sei: Thank you. Just to clarify something here, could you theoretically send either of us home at this point?

Robed Figure: I'm afraid not. The Multiverse is a very difficult place to navigate if you try going into it blind. Their summoning ritual was so unstable that it disrupted all the traces that would normally lead us to your specific iteration of Japan.

Sei: I see, that's a shame. Aira should have been given the chance to go home.

Robed Figure: Indeed. Your situation is bad enough, but a kidnapping a Japanese fifteen year old? That is so much worse.

*A blonde girl frowned before turning to Sei*

Liz: Please forgive my ignorance, but what did he mean by that?

Sei: In your society, a fifteen year old is basically of age, preparing to strike out on their own. In Japanese society, fifteen year olds are just beginning to look into careers, but are still completely dependent upon their parents for most of their needs. They aren't expected to be independent until they enter college at about eighteen, and support themselves fully until they enter their twenties. When comparing the two cultures, as near as I can tell, you basically bullied a twelve year old with different social conventions because you wanted a conscript.

*Liz and several other nobles went pale at the implications.*

Robed Figure: Will that be all Miss Takanashi? I wish we could do more, but we have a schedule to keep.

Sei: I get where you are coming from, believe me I do. But is there any chance that we could give them some sort of time served? While I'm not thrilled about my initial impression of the place, I've since made many friends here and don't want them to die because a heavy hitter was not available.

Robed Figure: I see. What of you, Miss Misono? You have also been wronged here.

Aira *wilting after discovering that she is well and truly stuck*: I never wanted to make so many people angry. I just didn't know what else I could do. Either I was the Saint and I'd be off fighting monsters for the rest of my life. Or I wasn't, and could be thrown away at any time. But I think the Prince meant well, even if things got out of hand. I certainly don't want anyone to get hurt because of me.

Robed Figure: Although you lack the full power of the Saint, you have your own potential and personal worth. Never let anyone tell you otherwise. Very well, your calls for clemency have been heard. Let's talk details.

*Later*

Taylor: God, those greater good assholes are annoying! So focused on the bacon they ignore how the pig gets slaughtered. I can see why they pissed you off.

Vortex: I get that the King was pissy about how his son was a jerk to a Saint Candidate and all, but there were enough fuck ups to go around. He certainly didn't need to make that poor girl feel like shit to prove his point.

Taylor: Which is why Aira is the only one who can remove the restraint from the King?

Vortex: He made a point of mentioning her lack of accomplishments. Well, now she will have to raise three of her elementary magical natures to level thirty five before the thing can be permanently removed. It will provide job security at least.

Taylor: Why was the Grand Magus crying though?

Vortex: He's addicted to playing with Magical Power and nothing else. Being forced to do all his own paperwork without any help for a year and a day is more than enough to depress people stronger than him. Sei's too busy being in denial about her romantic issues to bother with a similar mind game. Besides, she already has a very nice career she earned all on her own.
