Most movies or shows in moments like this would have it raining but at the moment the world around Naruto was a nice warm bright summer day. He at the moment was fighting to stay awake tucked into a back corner of an out-of-the-way ally that was full of trash and other various items. The people who dragged him here knew it would be the best place to yet again try and off him in the most painful way possible.
It took five grown men to beat a seven-year-old to near death and most of it Naruto did not even remember having backed out for most of it after being hit on the head. His healing factor needed a full night to heal just how broke his body was but Naruto knew he would not make it that long. He was fighting to stay awake only because a voice in his head was begging him to. Pleading for him not to give in to the bliss of sleep because despite what the villagers said there was someone who cared for him and someone he needed to live for. This voice promised to teach him anything he wanted if only he would stay awake for them to heal him.
He could remember the horrible things they said to him and the feeling of his bones breaking. He was sure something even stabbed into his lung because it was extremely hard to breathe. Having to cough up blood every other breath just so he could pull air into his lungs. He was even sure his back was broken because he could no longer feel his legs.
As he started to black out the voice in his head became frantic in his please not o go to sleep because there was nothing he could do if Naruto passed out. Or if he gave in and died. It was when Naruto was on the edge of passing out his vision all but faded to back when something caught his eye. A shiny black goo of sorts making its way to him. It looked weak just like Naruto on the cusp of dying as well. And despite his wounds, the boy wanted to help. Reaching out as far as he could he tried to see what was wrong only for it to latch on and a new voice entered his mind.
“Please I am dying I can heal you just please let me in.”
The new voice itself was weak and scared but the other one the first voice was strong and angry and scared as it responded.
“Unless you can keep the boy from dying as well get out. If you can I will let you stay for the moment that is. Until I have determined if you are safe for him. However, when you are done healing him we must take him to a safe place. One were the villagers can not get to him again.”
Naruto was not exactly sure just what the voices were talking about but as soon as the black goo was absorbed into his body he started to feel better. There was a bit of shock on the part of the new voice but it was overshadowed at least at the moment by the pain in his body going away. Naruto wanted to stay awake but the shock of almost dying and being healed again by some unknown force made the boy pass out.
“Thank you I am sorry the process made him pass out but I think for now it is a good thing. It will give the two of us a chance to talk and for me to explain what I am and maybe make a deal for staying in this boy as a host. I have not needed to eat a substantial amount of human brans to stay alive and not slowly eat my host so this is a new experience for me.”
“That is all well and good but we need to move him. There is one I trust enough to keep the boy safe but I am not sure if he is in the village right now. No doubt being sent on a long-term mission but knowing him. He would have his house under a type of surveillance to make sure he knew if anyone tried to enter that did not belong. Let just hope he can make it back in time to help us out.”
“Yes but names first we are called Venom and yes we can ket this child to where ever it is you feel it save enough to move him to. Just give up directions and we will get him there.”
After introducing himself to Venom the two of them took the boy to the copy nin’s house and started to bang on the door in hopes the man was home. To any onlooker though it would look as if the boy was sleepwalking. So the two of them were desperate to get their boy inside and out of sight.
To their luck and utter surprise, the man was home and before he could say anything they pushed their way in and lay the boy down on the couch. He was still covered in blood and most of his orange outfit was torn and missing. So the two of them knew he looked like a sight. Seeing as the man was about to rush off Venom spoke up.
“No do not leave we need to speak with you and the fox said you would be the safest person for our boy to go to.”
Again to the surprise of both of the beings inhabiting the boy he stayed and even moved to check on the boy. “Ok for now I will not go anywhere but you have to explain what is going on and how he is covered in blood. What happened ad who you are.”
Venom manifested slowly a small head out of the boy’s shoulder having agreed to leave the boy’s stomach along for the fox.
“We are Venom and we were dying ourselves when we came across the boy. He was in an ally way already on the verge of death himself when we found him. Everything was broken and he could not breathe. We made a deal with the fox. Heal him and we can stay for the time being. As it is I have seen what the boy has gone through and I have no intention of leaving and the fox is ok with me staying. I just need to ask the boy when he wakes up. As for what we are in simple terms we are what your kind would call an alien. We require a host to survive the oxygen-rich planate such as this. And brains or a chemical in the brain but it is much easier and tastier just to eat the whole thing. However, when we entered this body we felt fuller than we have in a long time and we did not even eat anything. The fox thinks it is because the host had so much chakra. We still are not sure. However, we do know we will do anything to keep the boy safe. The fox knows more about what happened to the boy but he can not speak to you as he is being locked away and I can not break the bonds keeping him in his prison. As much as I would like to.”
Kakashi nodded and sat down on a chair not too far away. He was unsure if he wanted to believe this thing that was now also having Naruto play host to it. More so because the boy did not know that it was there. But he had no choice right now. He never did trust the villagers not to harm the boy and seeing proof of it hurt more than he thought it would. More to because now he could see up close just how thin the boy was. Like he skipped one too many meals.
Nodding to himself he said “Oh he can stay here and I will not go to tell anyone just yet what is going on but I need for when Naruto wakes up for you to ask him yourself if he minds hosting you as well. Then we all need to have a chat about how this is going to work. If we are going to stay in the village or if it is safer to leave. However for now I need to clean him up and put him to bed. We can talk more in the morning.”
It would take two days for Naruto to wake up and in the meantime, the two of them Kurma and Kakashi fulled Venom in on what he needed to know about the world he found himself and Venom told them more about what he was and what he could do. In the end, after a two-day long discussion, they decided to leave it up to Naruto if they left or stayed. They also decided that if the boy was going to be making an informed decision they would explain everything to him. Letting him know just what was going on and laying out both plans A and B for him so he knew just what he was getting himself into.
Plan A was if they stayed Naruto would be getting training from Kakashi himself as much as he could while still doing the mission and when the men were not in the village. Kurama would be teaching him what he knew from his past vessels. Venom would also help him having known a few things the other two could not teach him from different worlds. Such as languages and different types of fighting styles that were not used in the world he was in now. All the while Naruto would pretend to not know anything and still be the knuckleheaded wannabe ninja people knew him as.
While plan B was they would leave travel to different lands learning what they could but being missing-nin in the process with the high chance of a kill on sight order. Unless something big happened and they were asked to come back to clear their names.
The second plan what simply put was and would not be simple to do but it would give the boy more experience than anything else. However, plan C came around when Naruto woke up.
As he woke up Naruto noted he no longer hurt nor did he small the trash he knew was scattered around the ally he had passed out in. It also took him a moment to put his brain into gear having felt like he learned way too much way too fast. The voice in his head whispered to him soothingly as if he was trying to help his headache.
“Calm down Naruto it is going to be ok. We have found a way to keep you safe from the people who wish to harm you. But you have to trust us to help you out.”
Naruto muttered under his breath “Ok I trust you Mr but could I have a name this time I am sure you might get tired of me making up different names for you. And what about the other one I am not sure what you are but you can speak to me I am not scared. If Mr. Voice let you stay I am sure you will not harm me.”
“Yes there is one other in your body with me we were not sure if you would be able to sense him but we are happy that is not the case. Please remember when you speak be quiet he is still regaining his strength and is still in some amount of pain.”
The other in him seemed to up at the mention of pain and the pain his head was in vanished just like that. Despite not needing to be quiet anymore the second voice still complied with the request and kept its voice down.
“We are sorry about that we healed you to fast in our hast to keep you alive. We did not understand your biology as much as we do not and now this will not happen again. We are Venom and we come from a different world. We would like to request the right to stay within your body as you are the best host we have had in such a long time. We have also been informed to tell you that if we were to leave we would die. You would live we healed you so you will not due from what happened but we can not survive on your planate without a host.”
Naruto did not even need to think about it. This person whatever they were saved them from being killed and all they wanted was to live themself. So without too much thought, he said “Sure I do not see why not.” Not forgetting the other in his body Naruto said “It is ok if you do not want to tell me your name but I would like to know what you want to be called besides Mr. Voice unless you are ok with that.”
There was a huffing laugh as the voice responded with “You may call me Kurama little one and I do believe the person looking after you is waiting for you to acknowledge his presence so you can talk.”
