Chapter 6
For a few seconds, Kakashi hesitated, not quite sure what to say or to do. He took the glas in his hand tried to settle on an answer. Meanwhile Minato unconsciously tilted his head as he waited for an answer, but none came. They both looked at each other for a while, till Kakashi decided to look at his glas. As he stared at the water, his head suddenly started hurting like hell. He dropped the glass onto his lap, the water spilling all over his lap and the bed but he couldn't care less. He squeezed his eyes tight as something like a film played in front of his eyes...perhaps a memorie?
—
When the silver-haired jonin opened his eyes, he found himself in a room, bound at the waist and tied to a chair. The warmth of the sun touched his back, while the harsh light above his head burned intensely. Someone sitting in front of him gestured for his men to leave the room. A large bottle of water rested on the floor next to him.
"So, according to my sources, you are traveling with you team in my area. What can you tell me about that?" The man inquired.
Kakashi ran his tongue over his dry lips. His voice, after days without speaking or drinking water, came out hoarse. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Is that so?" He stood and approached him, holding the water bottle. He unscrewed the cap and poured some of the cool liquid onto the ground.
"Yes it is." Kakashi replied, meeting his gaze but saying nothing more.
The other man returned to his chair and spun it around, sitting in reverse with his legs straddling the backrest and his arms resting on top. He took a deep sip from the water bottle before addressing him again. "I apologize for my rudeness. Would you like something to drink?"
"I have nothing to say to you."
He held up the water bottle. "Are you Kakashi Hatake?"
Kakashi glared at him, a mocking smirk beneath his mask. "If you captured me without being sure, then you are just as stupid as you look."
The capture hurled the water bottle against the wall. He yanked his head back so he was forced to look up at him and growled into his face, "Tell me everything you know about your mission."
Kakashi remained silent.
"It would be in your best interest to tell me," he leaned in, placing his hands on the chair's shoulders and bringing his face close to his. The younger one still said nothing, and he forcefully shoved the chair, sending it crashing to the ground with him still bound to it. He kicked him in the ribs.
"I have nothing to tell."
"I believe otherwise. And you will talk. Whether you want to or not, you will speak to me. I advise you to do it now before things become... unpleasant." He kicked him once more.
"I have nothing to tell." The man turned and exited the room. He heard him giving orders and then reentering. From his position on the floor, he couldn't see the door, but he saw him standing over him, looking down. His smile did not bode well for him. Something bad was going to happen, although Kakashi couldn't say what it was.
—
Kakashi came back to present, mouth open in mid-cry, panting harshly, his face a teary mess. Blinking furiously and smearing the mess on his face with the bottom of his t-shirt, he slowly began to calm down as his vision was brought back to him. He’s aware of strong hands on his shoulders holding him down and every instinct in his body is screaming.
"Kakashi..please try to calm down. You’re safe..are you listening to me? You are safe with me.." The blonde said as calm as he could, trying to calm him down. "try to relax..I’ll protect you..”
Even though Kakashi’s heart was beating mad on his ribcage, he had no desire to argue with him and found that he actually wanted someone to protect him tonight. The fact that he was offering made it seem all the more appealing. He was sore and tired, not just physically, but mentally as well. He closed his eyes and ran his hand ever softly along Minato’s forearm and whispered in a husky voice.
“D-Don't give me up..”
Then he closed his eyes and drifted into the land of dreams.
