You Sly...Cat!
What in the world is Catnap doing? Why does he act like this with me? Is this his way of teasing me? Because I confessed to him? God, how did he get so confident? Well he always was I think, but even so! I didn't think he had the balls to do that openly! In front of everyone! Just then Catnap went over to me.
"So I'm gonna go back to my base because it's actually closer to the base of FIN and since I need some rest now, we can meet up back there." He said to me. Suddenly I had an idea. "Wait, could I come with you then?" I said to him, before he was able to turn around. "Why?" He said with a sly smile. "Well... I don't have a good reason. But I really want to get back at you for kissing me on the ear!" I said while looking away, feeling the heat on my face. "If you want that so badly, then sure." He said, with an unchanged expression. "I'll get ready!" I said, quickly running off and getting my things together.
After getting my things together, I told everyone else that I was gonna go with Catnap to "Scout out the area first." But it seems that basically everyone had seen through the facade, and gave me the same look that they've given me these past few days. I met back with Catnap and started to ride with him back to his base. I had remembered the route but it was nice of Catnap to go first so I could follow him.
Once we got there, we parked back inside the garage like last time. And after eating, we were ready for bed. "So I can sleep down here, and you could sleep in the double bed." He said. "Nope, the both of us are gonna sleep upstairs, on the double bed! Payback for the ear kiss." I said with a sly smirk. He got a bit red and had a small smile. "Alright fine." He simply said and went upstairs. I followed him up and showed me the bed. It was a double bed, and it had more than enough room for the both of us. After snuggling in, he was laying down on his back, while I was on my side facing him.
"Hey, for the full punishment we have to face eachother." I said to him. And slowly he turned towards me. "Goodnight sunshine." He said while closing his eyes. "Goodnight moonlight." I said to him, he smiled a bit when I said that...

After a good rest, Catnap's alarm for 7 AM woke us up. We both got up and then went down to eat breakfast, the group was gonna get here at about 7:30 so we had to get ready quickly. After getting ready, we went outside with our bikes and waited for them to show up. They eventually showed up right on time inside of a large truck carrying all of the critters and we followed them to the base of FIN. A short while of driving later, we had arrived at about 300 meters away from the base, but there was something off about it. There was a thick cloud of the red smoke all around the large compound.
After making sure that everyone was wearing a gas mask, we drove in carefully. There were only two people there with gasmasks on, what looked like a large black and yellow reptile, and a crow. They were in front of a large cage which was banging and jumping around like a rabid animal was inside of it. Everyone got out of their respective vehicles and quicky got into position behind some different pieces of debris as cover. And then the two people had opened the large cage and out came... Simon Smoke?
When he got out of the cage he was frothing at the mouth, his eyes were bloodshot, and he had no gas mask on. He had been breathing in the red smoke for as long as he was in the cage. He immediately charged at us as we all opened fire at him, after about ten seconds of non-stop gunfire, he had went down. And after he had died, the two people who let them out had already held their arms up and were slowly walking towards us. They had said that they were supposed to kill themselves by breathing in the fumes and just running at us, like the rest of their army but the army had deserted and they were the only ones left that were in the inner circle of the prototype. And they would rather surrender. Some important bit of information that they told us was that there was also gas inside of the compounds bunker, but also that there was an exhaust system in place for clearing the smoke thats inside from the outside. Only problem is, the console for controlling it needs a code that will take a while to crack, or if they could get the code from the lead scientist Allister.
So after some thinking, we had decided to have some people go back to base and pick up Allister, while only me and Catnap head inside the bunker because the prototype may escape if we take too long. So after splitting apart, me and Catnap headed inside the bunker.
