Chapter 10
You looked at the blurry figure. You were surprised how he said nothing else--he didn’t even bother shoving you away.
“Uh…” You spoke as your vision became clearer.
“How did you get on our ship?” Zoro asked.
“Uh, I have no idea.” You said, half telling the truth.
You knew you got “teleported” there, but you weren’t exactly sure how. The last thing you remembered was falling in light...which sounded absurd, but that was what happened.
“How could you have no idea?” He asked.
“I...don’t know.” You said.
Your vision was fully restored when you looked at him. He was in the early episodes of One Piece, at least that’s what it seemed like. You looked around, realizing you were outside, on the Going Merry’s deck.
You looked at him again, realizing the faintest pink on his cheeks, which caused you to blush as well.
You pretended not to notice, so you looked down at his bare chest.
There was a fresh stitched, slanted cut that ran down his torso, which made you realize that you were still on top of him, probably hurting him.
“Oh no! I am so sorry!” You said as you tried pulling away, but Zoro quickly grabbed your arm and pulled you towards him, then wrapped his arms around you, causing you to crash into him.
You tried pulling away from him, but all he did was hug tighter. You couldn’t help yourself as you blushed deeper.
You were left speechless, not knowing what to say, or what to do.
It took you about a minute to decide the best choice of words.
You opened your mouth to speak, but someone cut you off.
“What the hell are you doing, Moss Head?!” A voice shouted.
‘Sanji?!’
You froze as you heard loud footsteps walking towards you.
The footsteps stopped.
“Is that…” You hear Sanji say.
“A WOMAN?! GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF OF HER!” He shouted as he lifted a foot above Zoro’s face.
Sanji smashed his foot on the wooden floor, missing Zoro by a few centimeters when he pushed you away.
You were terrified.
Watching the two fight remotely was somehow less scary, in fact, sometimes you found yourself smiling, or even laughing when they fought each other.
“Are you crazy, you dumbass cook?!” Zoro shouted back.
You looked up at the angry Zoro, who was looking at Sanji, but Sanji was staring at you with those heart eyes of his.
It's true that Sanji was into almost every woman, but you were on a different level.
“WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?!” You heard Nami yell.
Nami’s eyes turned to you.
“Uh, guys, someone is on our ship…” Nami called to the rest of the crew members.
Luffy and Usopp poked their heads out of the kitchen, pieces of meat stuffed their cheeks.
“Oh wow…” You hear Usopp say, even though his mouth was clearly stuffed.
“What are you guys doing?! Those are supposed to be for Nami-chan and…” You hear Sanji start. You looked at him, and he looked at you.
“Uh...what’s your name?” Sanji asked, as everyone stared at you. Zoro’s stare was the most intense. You didn’t look at him, but you could feel it.
“Uhm...it’s...uh… it’s y/n...you can just call me y/n.” You said, looking at the floor.
“Heeyyyyy!!!” Luffy shouted from the kitchen.
“Want to join our crew?!” He continued.
You relaxed, glad they weren’t suspecting anything.
“Luffy, I don’t think that’s a good idea, this girl just appeared out of nowhere, and she might very well be an enemy.” Nami called.
You tensed. That’s not good…
“It’s fine! From what I can see, she doesn’t have any weapons on her, and she looks pretty fragile and weak! I don’t thin-”
“Ok, just because I don’t have any weapons on me, and that I’m just sitting here, doesn’t mean I’m weak. I can kick you into the afterworld if I wanted to.” You said, lifting your head to look at him.
Luffy had always been the clueless type of guy, so you should have expected it from him, but that doesn’t stop you from wanting to punch him in the face.
“Yea, you heard her,” You heard Zoro say.
“Whaaat? I’m only telling the truth.”
You rolled your eyes.
“Anyways...where is the rest of the crew?” You asked, changing the subject.
“What do you mean?” Nami said, as she bent down and poked your head.
“This is all of the crew.”
“Oh, so we haven’t gotten to that part yet, huh?” You mumbled.
“Haven’t gotten to what part?” Usopp asked, licking the meat juices off his fingers.
“Nothing,”
“It can’t be nothing if you said it,” Nami said.
“So tell us,”
“Uhm, seriously, it’s not that important, and I mean it. You’ll find out soon.”
“Maybe we should let her keep the information to herself. We don’t want her to spoil the adventure.” Luffy suggested.
“What do you mean? Are you suggesting she’s someone from the future?” Nami said.
“No, no, I’m not. Actually, I’m not even supposed to be here…” You said.
“So...you are from the future?” Sanji asked.
“I told you already, no, I’m not from the future, I’m just...from a different world.” You said. Saying it out loud was way more terrifying than it had been in your head.
“Different world?” Usopp repeated, raising a hand to stroke his chin.
“Yea, something like that.” You agreed.
“So you don’t belong here?” Luffy asked dumbly.
“I thought I made it obvious.” You answered.
“How are you going to get back?” Zoro asked.
“I have no idea.” You replied.
Everyone sighed in relief, except Nami.
“But I think I might be staying here, in this world, for like...about a week, or less…” You said, thinking about how you left ‘early’ in the My Hero World.
Everyone groaned, but Nami sighed in relief.
“Only a week?” Sanji and Luffy asked at the same time.
“I think so,” You asked, confused.
“Why?”
“Because I want you to become a part of our crew!” Luffy groaned again.
You were sort of confused at the moment. You appeared out of nowhere, and suddenly everyone wanted you to be a part of their crew--and they didn’t even know you, all they knew was your name.
“We’re technically strangers, you know nothing about me, except my name, why do you suddenly want me to be part of your crew?” You asked.
You had them stumped on that one.
“No, we don’t want you on our crew.” Nami said.
Every head turned to her.
“That’s not tru-”
“I am going to quit being the navigator if you accept her into our crew.” Nami interrupted Luffy.
“Why do you guys trust her anyways? She just appeared from thin air, and said that she came from a different world, which is causing me to suspect that she might’ve eaten a very dangerous, and powerful Devil Fruit, and that she's just trying to have us trust her. I am not going to let her join the crew. Absolutely not.” Nami said.
“Woah, I mean, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but what’s gotten into you, Nami-chan?” Sanji asked.
You couldn’t believe it either. You haven’t watched all of One Piece yet--but so far, Sanji had never ever said anything like that to Nami.
“No, what’s gotten into you?!” Nami shouted.
The conversation broke down into an argument.
Nami was yelling at the whole crew, Zoro started shouting at Nami, Sanji tried to apologize, Luffy was screaming his head off, and Usopp was the only one trying to stop the fight.
It was painful to watch them fight and argue. You’ve never seen the crew fight each other all at once before, and it scared you. It almost seemed like wherever you went, tragedy always followed close behind.
“OKAY!” You screamed over the voices.
Every head turned to look at you.
“I know I’m not supposed to be here, and you all know that as well. Take me to the nearest village or island, and I’ll hop off this ship.” You suggested.
Nami nodded, but the others stayed silent and stared at their shoes.
On the inside, you felt just as disappointed as them, but what could you do? It's the best way to avoid another tragedy.
“There’s an island not far from here,” Nami said as she walked to the steering wheel.
“We’ll be there shortly.”
...=`<0.0>`=...
“Wow…” You said, staring at a very dull-looking island.
The island looked as if someone had drained the color from it, the tall trees were moss-colored, and the sand looked a little gray than it should be.
The place looked scary. It looked as if everything, and everyone who went there would die instantly when they stepped on the island.
“We’re here.” Nami said.
“I’m fully aware.” You replied.
“Maybe we should drop her off to another island…” Luffy suggested.
“No, y/n said to 'take her to the nearest village or island,' so now I have granted her request, she will step off the ship.” Nami replied.
“Okay, alright, I’ll go.” You said.

After Nami had you step off the ship, you looked back at the crew, and the ship.
Luffy and Usopp sighed and walked away. Nami glared at you for what felt like the longest second, then shook her head, and walked away. Zoro and Sanji stared at you in silence.
Suddenly, Sanji smiled brightly, at the same time when Zoro smirked, and walked away.
You knew they were on to something, but didn’t know what, and you hoped it wasn't bad.
You watched as the ship left, slowly disappearing.
You felt your eyes tear up. You should feel lucky you had met the crew in person--but you didn't feel lucky enough.
What were you going to do now? What were you going to eat? How were you going to survive?
The island looked dangerous and spooky, you didn’t want to take another step into it.
You wished you had at least tried to convince them to let them stay...but you couldn’t picture yourself doing that in front of a screaming crew, and a furious Nami.
You forced yourself to take a step into the forest. Then another step, then another.
Each step felt like a huge accomplishment.
Another step, followed by another. You continued to follow the pattern as you slowly entered the forest. You were immediately greeted with an unpleasant smell, but you continued to force yourself to move.
You had been walking for about ten minutes, which felt like ten hours.
Suddenly, you heard a loud roar, it was so loud that you had to cover your ears. Then you saw a million bugs crawling towards you, no, not towards you, past you.
Shortly after that, you heard metal clanging, and punching--or kicking.
You froze.
