Her newest sensei's teaching style was as questionable as her most recent teammates.
She much preferred Genma-senpai, the Terrible Twins and even Ebisu-san, or- (shudder) Team Gai. While Ebisu-san kept to the basics and the Academy Three, it was something at least. Hatake-san's perpetual laziness was also something, alright.
The entire time waiting for him she spent reading something or other, or even practising her aim with senbons with help of any and all unsuspecting wildlife she could find. (Poisons were reserved for Genma-senpai-sanctioned training, and sedatives and paralyzing mixtures for the occasional three-way spar with her teammates.)
The boys- the less said, the better.
It was as if those stupid boys summarily forgot all about their jōnin test the very second the scare of their near-failure wore off.
Any respect they may have held for Sakura for grasping the concept of the test evaporated the third day, when she revealed her only very limited repertoire of Ninjutsu; Kawarimi, Henge, Bunshin, the bare-bones of a stable Shunshin, two D-ranked Suiton, one E-ranked Raiton and Katon each, and two D-ranked Doton.
And, not to forget, she was dressed sensibly - without the crest of her civilian merchant clan, even - and preferred not to draw too much attention to herself. - Oh, and her lack of Kekkai Genkai (looking at you, Uchiha), plus her promotional history... a third-time contestant for the jōnin track... by the time they'd reach her age, they would be chūnin-! They- were the last (loyal) Uchiha and Uzumaki Naruto (-ttbayo liberally applied).
Not to mention Hatake-san; at fifteen, he already led whole jōnin squads through very successful missions and into battle...
Sakura was simply no match for that.
