so as you can see, this mostly follows canon, except for the fights of shino & sakuino. sakuino you know what happened, obviously. the other match - uzumaki karin vs. aburame shino - started out same as canon with shino trying to drain his opponents' chakra by way of his insects. for the same reason this would hardly work on naruto, it doesnt really have much of an effect on karin. so karin gathers her courage and engages in taijutsu and wins. because i said so. :)
gaalee fight went as canon, and as you can see, the kusa team that went forward instead of most of the oto-nin isnt actually half bad! hanamachi is the oc-daughter of the leader of kusa and i let her win since she has a much higher ambition to win than chouji. she wants to represent her village as best as she can to help their rep and despite choujis love for bbq, i didnt see that helping him overpower her.
