Bunny oh Bunny how far you’ve run
“…wow!” Naruto smiled at the site of the small village,
Kakashi was the first one to step out of the boat with me following by his side,
Next out was Tazuna, the older man easily stepped out of the small boat with practiced ease,
Naruto almost tripped before he took Kakashi’s offered hand and stepped out of the boat,
once on the dock he crossed his arms as he moved to stand next to me,
Sakura was the last to carefully stepped out of the boat with our Sensei's help, she briefly stumbled at the change of gravity but other than that she was fine,
With one final goodbye, the Boatsman was off, leaving us alone on the dock,
’well mostly alone…,
“Alright, bring me home, and I mean get me there in one piece” Tazuna outright demanded, his tone holding annoyance,
’Tazuna’s house is on the outskirts of the village, meaning….
”…alright, let’s go” Kakashi-Sensei sighed, turning to look at us when his gaze stopped on me I could see his shoulders drop before he motioned for me to walk next to him,
’huh?
giving him a questioning look I do as told, and soon we’re moving through the village,
As we walked I could feel the stares directed at my blood-covered hands, I tightened my fist and looked towards the ground,
‘this dizzy feeling mixed with the dried blood…, I just wanna finally take a shower and go to bed… but fuck, why are their stares getting on my nerves so much, I’m used to it…. So why?
“just ignore them” I looked up and the words to find Naruto catching my eyes he gave me an easy grin,
at some point, he had moved to stand next to me with his arms crossed behind his head,
I nodded as I glanced behind us, Sakura was walking next to Tazuna, she looked curious as to what we were talking about but didn’t ask about it,
I let my gaze track in front of us as we finally made it to the outskirts of the town,
‘meaning we are going to have to go through the forest…
I sighed in annoyance, Naruto was currently scanning the tree line along with Kakashi who was doing it way more secretively,
as for Sakura she was behind Tazuna and Tazuna was walking in the middle of the group keeping him in a somewhat safe spot,
’i luckily still have enough weapons on my person that I shouldn't have to worry, but that never guarantees survival,
“There!” Naruto yelled out as he Flung a kunai into the bush “…heh it was just a mouse” at his sheepish expression Sakura let out an annoyed huff,
“Naruto! Those are kunai knives They're dangerous!” Kakashi scolded,
‘And it starts…I’ll never be getting a shower at this rate...
“—STOP TRYING TO SCARE ME, YOU TWERP!” Tazuna bellowed out,
“hay! Is someone hiding over there? No? Over there!” Naruto didn’t give the yelling a second glance as his eyes zipped from bush to bush,
As all of this was happening Kakashi-Sensei’s eyes flickered towards the left,
”-Over there!” Naruto swung another kunai into the bushes but this one hit its target,
‘Squish!,
“That's it Naruto! Quit acting like a little kid!” Sakura yelled as she swatted said person on the back of the head seemingly not hearing the noise,
“W-what! Someone is following us I mean it!” Naruto whined holding his head,
As they fought I focused my attention on Kakashi who was stealthily moving over to the bush,
Following him I saw what Naruto ended up hitting,
a white rabbit was pinned to the tree by its ear, its fur staining into a dark red from a puncture wound,
’huh… he hit it this time? I mean it’s still alive but the fact that his throw hit it is already good…
“Ah! Naruto! Look what you’ve done!” Sakura yelped as she caught sight of the rabbit,
“Huh! A rabbit! Oh, I’m sorry little guy!” Naruto fell to his knees in front of the little creature and pulled out a bandage,
Kakashi let out a sigh “here let me help….” At the words Naruto scooted over as Kakashi eased the kunai out of its ear,
the rabbit was frozen in fear not even making a sound,
with the weapon out of its ear Kakashi-Sensei took the Bandage from Naruto and covered the wound,
With that done Kakashi set the rabbit back on the ground, taking ahold of Naruto and Sakura, and pulled them back over to Tazuna giving me a look to follow,
I did as instructed and soon we were in something like a tight circle format,
’so…. He’s already here
“Get down!!” Kakashi yelled pulling himself and Tazuna to the floor,
With the unmistakable sound of a body flicker, I grabbed ahold of both my teammates and pulled us down just as a blade went sailing over all our heads,
It landed into the tree with a crack sound as the wood split,
as we all stood back up someone landed on the blade, I cast my eyes up to stare at-
“Well well if it isn’t Zabuza Momochi rogue Ninja from the village hidden in the mist,” Kakashi’s voice was a low hum as he spoke,
At this Naruto ran ahead to attack Zabuza only to be stopped by Kakashi’s putting his arm up,
”..get back, you’re in the way, Zabuza is not like those other ninjas.. he’s an elite one of the big, if he’s our opponent I’ll need this” and with that Kakashi started to pull up his headband,
”monji formation! protect the bridge builder,” With one last command Kakashi finished pulling up his headband leaving it sitting on his forehead,
Naruto And Sakura let out equal sounds of shock as my hands briefly tightened before I let them go,
‘He didn’t steal it, I know that now ..so I have no reason to be angry or upset….
I let out a small breath as I looked back up from the ground, glancing at my teammates I pulled a kunai out as I stepped back and took the place in front of Tazuna,
Naruto and Sakura followed my lead and took up my sides both also having pulled weapons out,
”I’m ready” as Kakashi-Sansei spoke Zabuza let out a low laugh his gaze focusing on our Sensei,
“…well looks like I’ll be able to see the Sharingan in action This is an honor” Zabuza’s gaze was like fire as his cold stare traveled across all of team seven,
“Huh… looks like you’ve already had a run-in with a few ninjas.” Zabuza’s tone had taken a slightly mocking tone as his eyes stopped on me
Kakashi’s hands tightened around the weapon in his hand,
‘The fact he said anything about the blood on me… and Naruto hasn’t asked what Sharingan is yet like last time, but I can see that he wants to, …it’s good that he hasn’t as we need to focus on the mission
“As for you jonin, your profile was in our bingo book…. it had you as the man that could copy over a thousandjutsu’s Hatake Kakashi the copy ninja, and we have orders to destroy your team on sight.” Zabuza hummed,
”Wow! That’s so cool!” Naruto exclamation as his eyes light up, my eyebrow rose at his words
’huh, did he not hear that last bit?
“Enoughtalking, I need to exterminate the old man, and it looks like I’ll have to kill you first”
Zabuza easily pulled his sword free from the tree,
and the next second he was gone,
‘the fight has officially started, And I have yet to be able to get a shower….
that’s just my luck….
