End of all the fun
Leaning against Kakashi's touch, feeling his eyes reading her, Rin couldn't help but clinch her eyes shut as her mind finally caught up with her heart. She left out a small sigh, moved her body and sat with her head lying on her knees on the bed while holding tightly to her legs for support. The jinchuuriki reached her hand to feel the ribbing of her scars on her skin over her shoulder to try to keep herself grounded. Her mind was racing, almost as fast as her heart beat, and she couldn't help but quickly clinch her hands against her body in an anger response. Reality was starting to hit her again and she was having issues trying to process what she just did. Kakashi sensed something was off when he saw her flexing her hands, reached out and held onto Rin's hand to get her attention and to make her stop. She held on his hand for a moment, burying her face into the crook of her legs, her hands shaking and breath becoming deep and shorter as Rin was losing the battle to keep her emotions under control. She pulled his hand closer to her body and Kakashi got the hint that Rin needed him closer. She needed him closer and to never leave her again.
But that couldn't happen in this world.
"Rin? What's wrong?" The words whispered from the male as he pressed his body against her side. His arm wrapping behind her back and one under her legs to cuddle her closer, but didn't try to shift her position. He understood when she got like this that it was best to just be there and wait for her to talk. Her breathing became slightly erratic and her eyes softened while she shifted to look at him from the corner of her eye. Rin couldn't understand why she was crying. Well she understood but why did her heart have to betray her like this when they were almost done with each other. Only a few more moments together and Rin could have had a clean break from this place. Her grip on Kakashi's hand tightened, him not worried about his own hand, but more concerned about the water works his lover was putting on for no real reason. She broke out into a soft sob and rubbed her face into her knees just trying to hide herself away.
"Rin, you have to keep it together." The turtle spoke up to his jinchuuriki, after keeping to himself for so long, and shook his head to how she was reacting. Rin needed to be strong for their plan to work, he tried his best to not interfere with what his jinchuuriki was doing, but there was a line that she was crossing. "It's going to be okay.." The three tails try to comfort Rin, but he knew there was nothing he could do. Only a small part of Isobu thought that Rin was crazy enough to go back against their plan, but whatever it took to clear her head and go with it then he would support her. They couldn't have bad blood between the pair if the next unknown amount of time spent together was going to work.
The jonin pushed himself up and pressed his body to engulf Rin's smaller frame into his strong arms. Rin didn't pull away or return the embrace for once, only sitting in shock as she still gave off soft sobs. Even with him being right there and so close, Rin didn't feel any better. She couldn't feel better. Not with the future looking so dark for the jinchuuriki. Reality for her hit harder than any of Shinobi could understand, well Naruto could understand, but her plan would hopefully protect him. It was going to work. It has to.
Running his hand over her back in soothing circles, Kakashi pressed his forehead against the side of her face and closed his eyes to allow her to process whatever was happening or caused her to break down like that. "I'm sorry Rin, I shouldn't have come tonight." He whispered regrettably, feeling as if he had been the cause of her grief. Hearing those words caused Rin to let out a small gasp and lift her head to look at him, her chocolate brown eyes becoming red from the tears and exhaustion. She wasn't sure she had heard him correctly.
"N-no.. Kakashi, it's not your fault. I-i.." The jinchuuriki couldn't finish her words as she couldn't think of what to say. "Tonight was perfect." She turned her slightly and pressed her forehead to his, leaning her shoulder into his chest to press into the hug. "I..I don't know what's wrong."
She lied. Rin knew why she was acting like this, but her whole body was failing her. Her heart was acting faster than her brain could process anything. That didn't include what they just did, but she couldn't tell him the truth. Kakashi couldn't know their plan because she knew he would just stop her and she would be powerless to fight against him. But this wasn't about her, or Kakashi. She needed to protect the Leaf village and Rin was willing to prove it no matter what. Even if it meant she was going to finally achieve her plan from her first suicide mission. Rin wouldn't fail a second time "I..." Her mouth couldn't form words to truly display what her heart wanted to tell this man.
Placing her hand on the back of Kakashi's neck and holding him closer, Rin closed her eyes and began to try to control her breathing and emotions, but it wasn't going to be a quick thing. She tried to move her mind off of the future and try to enjoy the possible last moment they had together. Final moment of peace. Calm before the storm. If only Kakashi knew.
Kakashi opened his normal eye for a moment and stared at the sad expression that Rin's face was betraying. He wanted her to smile and wanted to tell her everything was going to be okay. The jonin just didn't know where to start or how to even bring up anything that would help her feel better.
Opening up his sharigan eye ever so slowly, Kakashi finally noticed that he wasn't sharing his eye sight with someone and could finally see Rin fully infront of him. He used this opportunity to take a sneak inside to ask someone he didn't mind bothering when it came to Rin: the three tails. Kakashi tightened his hold on to Rin and used the chance of her being distracted to sneak into Rin and Isobu's mind space.
Isobu didn't expect to see Kakashi like that in there and caused him to push himself a ways back from the silver hair male in a defensive. Even if the mind scape, Kakashi was naked, but even with clothes, Isobu didn't trust anyone with the sharigan. The turtle glared deeply at the jonin, crossing his arms infront of him and laying down a ways from where Kakashi had shown up. "Better be quick, before I tell Rin that your here." Threatening wasn't something the turtle knew her didn't have any power behind, but he how to trust the relationship between his jinchuuriki and the one who almost ended both their lives. Kakashi never showed any emotions that the turtle's threat ever had any effects, but they were both smart not to push either. It wasn't fair to make Rin choose between either of them, especially what happened to them last time... It was a very quiet two weeks..
Prodding over closer to the turtle, Kakashi's legs and feet causing waves in the shallow pool of water below him. He knew there was a turtle size hole somewhere below all that water so he treaded lighty. Kakashi wasn't in control there, at least not for Rin's sake he wasn't. "Why is Rin crying?"The male asked when he was a good few feet away from the turtle. Rin wasn't anywhere to be seen, so the jinchuuriki was more than likely still jumbled up with her thoughts. This meeting between the two was going to be quick, but would slow down if the jinchuuriki caught them talking.
The turtle squinted his eye and looked to the side at nothing in particular as he thought of what to say that wouldn't effects their plans or hurt Rin. "Ask her yourself." Isobu kept it sweet and simple, no where near in the mood to talk to the human. Shaking his silvery haired head, Kakashi let out a sigh in defeat. He should have known going to this beast was a waste of time, but he didn't know who else to turn to that was this close to Rin, besides himself. "You know she won't tell me. She always acts like everything is okay, but it's bad if she is crying like that. " Isobu's tails crinkled for a moment before he laid out behind his body.
The demon and healer fed off each other's emotions, it becoming more prevalent during the full moon. With no seal on Isobu's powers, he needed to keep himself calm, or easily tip off Rin. His eye traveled over Kakashi's face and then landed over his closed eye, knowing the powerful and hateful thing that lay underneath. "....." They sat in silence for a moment before Isobu let out a hissing sigh. This couldn't keep going and it might be better to put it out there.
"What?" The jonin finally spoke up while Isobu lifted his head to answer the question. "You don't spend enough with Rin..." Half lie. Half true. How was Kakashi going to found out the real truth? And he wasn't going to hear it coming from the turtle either. Kakashi tilted his head from the turtle's words and pondered about what it said. Rin and Kakashi spent plenty of time together, almost as much time as Kurenai and Asuma and the jonin couldn't think of Rin being that lonely to request more of his presence. He wouldn't mind it either, he would do anything Rin asked. Anything.
"Kakashi?" Being pulled back into reality, Kakashi noticed when he blinked his eyes that Rin's eyes had turned demonic during his chat with the tailed beast, but they quickly reverted back when she blinked a few times. "I think we've spent enough time together tonight. I don't know anything else I can do to help you, and I already feel bad for holding you up longer than I should have.." Coming off as a small whisper, it wasn't hard for Kakashi to hear, but he did detect the hint of loneliness coming from her as well. Kakashi reached up after moving back and cupped her cheeks into the palms of his hands. He moved her face and placed a few silent kisses upon her lips to try to settle her mind a bit.
"My sharigan is better Rin, I can actually see how beautiful you are with both eyes." Trying to help her feel better, Kakashi could only think of only so much before crossing a line that he was too scared to cross. "You didn't hold me up, Rin. I've enjoyed tonight more than I have in a long time, and it's only because I was with you." He gave her a tender smile before releasing Rin's face, moved to get off the bed to get ready to dress, and leave. His words and movements caused the jinchuuriki's cheeks to burn red and her heart speed up from being so flustered.
Even after they made love, Rin was amazed just how star struck Kakashi could make her. She was a sucker for his smooth talking and simple, small complements that made her whole body melt like butter. She swallowed a small lump in her throat and turned her head to watch him from her sitting position on the bed. She managed to get her emotions under control for the moment, and yet there was so much left to say. The jinchuuriki rested her cheek from on top her knees and watched his movements, and couldn't help but feel warmth from Kakashi's simple words. He could always help her feel better, no matter the issue.
Kakashi gathered his clothing items and began putting them on one by one, while Rin finally got the energy to get off the bed and retrieve her robe. She didn't need to stay naked like that and it would be weird to walk Kakashi to the door in just her birthday suit. Rin grabbed the Jonin's headband and held it up infront of her own forehead while looking at herself in the mirror. Such a small and random task, but all part of some things Rin had to fully understand what she was going to be doing.
Chocolate brown eyes followed from the mirror to Kakashi as she couldn't keep her eyes off him, even though her body was fulfilled, her heart needed more of him. Let out a mournful sigh, she followed behind to the hallway toward the front door. "Just because you're feeling better, as my patient I can't just let you leave a mess at my place, Kakashi." Rin tapped his headband against his jacketed back with a joking smirk his way. "Right. Thanks nurse Nohara." Kakashi returned with a playful tone, happily taking the headband back and tying it back around his forehead where it belonged, and then pushed it over his sharigan to cover it. Kakashi zipped up his jacket, straightened his clothes and tapped his sandals back into place to finish his get up.
"Try not to get into too much trouble Kakashi. I'm sure you've done enough exhausting labor for one night." Rin patted his chest with her hand and was caught off gaurd when he suddenly grasped it with both his hands protectively. "I'm glad you're feeling better too. Would have had me worried." Shifting her eyes from her held hand then up to his masked face, the jinchuuriki was unsure why he was holding her hand like that. "Rin." The tone he said her name caught her full attention. "Kakashi.." She wasn't sure how to reply to just her name, but it was fitted with a small tone of concern.
Smiling under his mask toward her, Kakashi held her hand tight before giving it a few tight squeezes. "Let's go get breakfast in the morning. I have to pay you back for your hospitality. You can help me shop for that mission coming up to." The offer Rin wouldn't have turned down in a moment on any other day...
"Breakfast?" Lifting her eyes from his face toward the side, trying to make it look like she had looked at something in particular. "S-sure Kakashi. I would love that." Rin couldn't help her voice break, but she kept on her fine facade. Only needed it a few more moments, and then she could break down again. Gracious with her reply, Rin leaned in and gave his mask a small kiss to not rewet it like her earlier kiss to him. "I'll see you in the morning Kakashi." Waving to him as he took a few steps out the door, Rin clinched to her robe to keep herself a little warm. "Alright. It's a date." Those were the last words spoken before Kakashi closed the door and jumped off to do whatever he was planning, leaving Rin gasping a little bit when she finally heard those words from his mouth.
"A.. date?" Rin couldn't help but clinch her hands together and dig her fingers into each hand out of frustration. Only inside the shared space of Isobu and Rin's mind was she able to let out a heartfelt and ear piercing scream. It made Isobu close his good eye in reaction, but he couldn't blame her. The turtle didn't think that Kakashi would have made that move, and could only blame himself for pushing the two toward that point.
Frustration. Loneliness. Reality. All hitting her at once and she didn't have any more time to process any of it. "We need to hurry Rin.." The turtle didn't want to pressure his friend, but they had less time than ever to leave if their plan was going to have any chance at working. "I know! I know." The healer didn't mean to snap at the turtle, but who else was going to be able to rely on from now.
It took only a few minutes for Rin to pack up a small amount of things for the journey. The female had no idea what was going to happen, let alone if she would ever come back to this place ever again. Packed enough money and food to last a week and longer if it called for it. Rin could rely on fish, if needed, to feed them. Perks of having a water bijuu.. Rin looked about and took two pictures of the frames to take with her. One of the past and one of the present. Team Minato and Team Kakashi. To remind her what she was fighting for and going to protect. "I'm sorry.." Whispered into the air, Rin took out a peice of paper and took a few minutes to write out her heart and soul on to the paper of what she was going to do and what she was hoping to accomplish. It was getting hard as her eyes burned from tears and it was becoming hard for her to see anything to write. Only for the last few words to spell out her true feelings. She ran her sleeve over her eyes and let out a sigh when she was done. Placing her head band over the letter, Rin reread it once more before putting it back down and looking around her place one last time, possibly forever. Those last words haunting her mind, but she was finally able to voice how she really felt.
"... I love you Kakashi."
-back to Obito-
Panting rather quickly, Obito sat in silence for a long time and still trying to figure out what had just happened. The bird had flown off in a random direction as they were supposed to continue their search. He blinked his eye a few times as he finally began to see his eye site returning to him, helping ease himself from his angered stupor, but only slightly. Standing up to retrieve his mask, Obito took a few deep breaths, turned off his sharingan, and placed it back on his face. Putting on the Tobi facade was going to be more exhausting now that he was feeling overly angered, but an idiot like Deidara was not going to be hard to trick.
After a few hours of real searching, Obito was starting to get frustrated, but for another reason. He was seriously looking for their target, but how were they going to find it if there were no signs of it. "Tobi! Did you find anything? Any sign, hm?" The blonde finally returned after so long in silence, only for Obito to let out a small sigh as he switched into his role. "No, I haven't seen anything. I might have fallen asleep a few times too! This is boring." Deidara let out an annoyed grunt and rolled his eyes from his team mate's reluctance of how severe this situation this put them in. "Come on then. Let look for a little bit longer. I don't want to return empty handed. I don't think pain would like that, hm."
Obito was running out of ideas on where to look when it came to trying to find this bijuu. They were getting good ground with the few they have found, but he wasn't sure where to keep looking. They were going to find it if they had to destroy Kirigakure to get it.
The three tails will be found.
