Genin Exams
The shows Konoha. Then it showed the stone faces of the previous and Current Hokage which are now shown to have graffiti all over them. In the distance, you hear people yelling. The scene soon focused on a blonde-haired with a bright orange jumpsuit running away from Jonin “Get back here, Naruto!” “You crossed the, this time, Naruto!” Both ninjas yelled and the chase speed up around the village.
Soon it showed Naruto laughing a lot and coming closer to the screen, “Give it up” Gets closer up of each Hokage face starting from first “Your just bent cause you can’t do what I do, do ya? Loser! Wannabes! You’ll never catch me!”
Outside, he was still going on. “Naruto Hold on!” Soon, as the ninja passed a fence, Naruto hid with some sort of cape to blend in.
Next, you see the academy, “I’m at the end of my rode Naruto!” Iruka basically lectured Naruto in front of the class, “You failed the graduation test last time, and the time before that tomorrow you got another chance, and your already messing up again!” All Naruto did was make the “hm!’ sound at Iruka-sensei. A soon even more ticked off Iruka spoke again “Fine! Cause you missed it Naruto, everyone will review the transformation Jutsu!” soon a lot of “awes” around the class was heard.
Soon the class was already lined up a pink hair girl went up, “Alright Sakura here let’s do it, Transform!” she then transformed into Iruka-sensei. “Transform into me? Good,” Iruka said, writing on his clipboard her grade. “Yes, I did it!’ Inner Sakura ‘I kicked butt’ Soon ‘Gloomy’ black-haired boy was shown “Sasuke did you see that?”
The Uchiha named Sasuke silently transformed into a perfect copy of Iruka. “Ah, good,” Iruka said, writing down his on the sheet of paper. “Next Naruto Uzumaki!” Soon the blond kid from prior came onto the scene once again.
“This is a total waste of time, Naruto.” a kid with pineapple style hair named Shikamaru said lazily. “We always pay for your screw-ups!” a blond hair girl named Ino Yamanaka spoke out loud. Soon the camera focused on a Hyuuga girl, “Do your best, Naruto.” She said in her mind, fiddling with her fingers, showing her shy personality.
Soon the scene plays him walking toward the Teacher. “Transform!” Blue chakra swirled around him and in a puff of smoke a naked girl version of Naruto appeared, It winked while some of the clouds hid its private parts. Ending result there Sensei nosebleed and so on.
After that, Naruto transformed back. "Ha! That's my Sexy Jutsu." "Cut the stupid tricks! This is your last warning!" Iruka lectured, nose still bleeding
Naruto was seen cleaning the Hokage Monument.
"You're not going home until you've cleaned everything." Iruka scolded
"So what?! It's not like I have anyone home waiting for me." Naruto shot back, looking even more downcast. Naruto thinks, ‘Sasuke said that After beginning exams tomorrow because he wants to practice tonight.’
Iruka scratched his scar, "Well, we can go to Ichiraku's after you're done?"
Naruto then grinned, "Now that's some motivation!"
The duo was now at Ichiraku's.
"Naruto."
"Hm?"
"Why would you do that to the Hokage faces? You know how important they are, right?"
"Of course I do." He said as he slurped up the last of his ramen.
"Everybody knows. They were the greatest Shinobi of time, right? And the fourth defeated the nine-tail fox, then why did you do that to the Monument," Iruka asked, confused.
“I will become a better Hokage than any of them then I will be worshipped and everyone will stop disrespecting me and look up to me, believe it!"
"We will now start the final exams" Iruka announced, "When your name is called please come into the testing room to do the clone Jutsu,"
"Argh, that's my most horrible technique," he gulped.
"OK, get it together, Naruto. Believe it." Naruto brought his hand in the required hand seal and began to release his chakra.
"Clone Jutsu."
There was a poof of smoke. Naruto took one look at his clone and then began chewing his nails, while Iruka's eyebrow was twitching slightly.
"YOU FAIL"
"Iruka," The other teacher, Mizuki, looked at Iruka. "Despite him not being able to make a clone he is determined to succeed and this is his third year, after all, it doesn't seem fair for him to be left behind."
"Mizuki-sensei, the other students created at least three effective replications… but Naruto created only one. And look at it, it's pathetic."
Naruto sat on the swing with a downcast expression.
"There you see him"
"Is that the boy"
"Yeah, I heard he was the only one who didn't pass."
“Just imagine what would happen if he became a ninja. I mean, he's THAT boy-"
"Shh. We're not allowed to talk about that."
Naruto felt tears in his eyes when someone loomed over him, Mizuki.
"Iruka-sensei is tough, but he's not against you."
"Then why? Why only me?"
"He wants you to be strong with all of his heart, but that will never happen if he goes easy on you. He's like you, ya know. No parents, no family. He lost his parents and he was only a pup, he hadn't even prevented"
"Yeah, but I really wanted to graduate." Mizuki chuckled. "Well, then I guess I have to tell you the second way to pass the test."
Iruka soon found Naruto in the middle of the forest.
Iruka face-planted, "Naruto I found you not the other way around,"
"Listen Iruka-sensei, I'm going to show you this amazing technique then you'll have to let me 's the way it works, right? Anyone who learns a jutsu from the scroll passes."
"Huh? Where'd you get that idea?"
"Mizuki-sensei told me about it, ya know. He told me where to find the scroll and this place…"
Iruka then heard a noise and turned to see the many kunai rushing towards them.
"Look out!" he shouted as he pushed Naruto out of the way and took the many hits.
"I see you found me." Mitsuki chuckled.
"So that's how it is. I should've known." Iruka gritted his teeth.
"Wait a minute, what's going on here?" Naruto intercepted, confused.
"Naruto, don't let Mizuki get the scroll! It contains forbidden jutsu that could put the village in great danger."
"Naruto, Iruka's just trying to scare you because he doesn't want you to have the scroll." Mitsuki grinned.
“Shut up!” Iruka yells from the ground. The man can’t quite move well since there are multiple weapons in his body.
Mizuki continues talking like Iruka said nothing. “Since that incident, the people in the village have been bound by the strictest decree.”
“I don’t know of any decree?” Naruto sputters out.
“Of course not. That was the whole point of it. For everyone to know except you.” Mizuki smiles.
“What are you talking about?” Naruto’s face comes into view. He’s shocked, there’s sweat all over his face.
Mizuki starts laughing. It’s like the sound of one of those cartoon villains. His face then changes to a grin. “That no one must ever tell you… that what you really are is the demon fox!’”
“What are you talking about?” Naruto’s face is close. His eyes are wide.
“In other words, you are the one that murdered Iruka’s family. Who left him an orphan as a pup! You are the nine-tailed fox that destroyed the village!” The world around Naruto seems to stop. Only Mizuki’s voice continues. “Until our beloved hero, the fourth Hokage trapped you in that form,” Mizuki screams out.
“Stop it!” Iruka screams as loud as he can. It has no effect, however.
“Since then, you’ve been made a fool of by everyone in town!” The screen shows Naruto surrounded by villagers. Mizuki takes out a giant shuriken and starts spinning it around his hand. “Didn’t you think it was strange? To be so despised everywhere you went? Even Iruka would admit to hating you if he were honest!” The view cuts to Iruka breathing shallow, fast breaths. “You never experienced a parent’s love, you’ve always been shunned by the village. No one will ever accept you. To make matters even worse, that scroll you stole was used to confine you.” Mizuki throws the giant weapon. It reaches for Naruto. But right before it hits, it’s stopped. Instead of impaling Naruto, Iruka blocks the blow with his own body. The star is plunged inside his back.
Iruka spits out some blood on Naruto’s face. Naruto looks up at the man that saved his life. “Why’d you save me?”
A flashback starts. Iruka is seen as a young teen. “With my parents gone, there was no one to praise me. I was so lonely.” Iruka is shown surrounded by various families. “I became the class clown to gain attention. Being the class clown was better than being a nobody.” Iruka is shown goofing around with an exercise. The mood then darkens when the scene changes to an empty room. Only Iruka is seen sitting inside. “It hurt so much.”
Next up Iruka is seen crying above Naruto. The tears are bouncing off Naruto's skin. “I know that, Naruto. I was so hard on you, it must have hurt. If I’d been a better teacher, a better person, maybe neither of us would have come to this.” The screen then turns to Naruto again. Naruto looks around. While at first, he was shocked, it’s not replaced with something else. Naruto shifts his position and quickly makes a run for it.
Mizuki hops down from the tree he was standing on. “What a pity. He’s going to use the scroll to take his revenge on the village.” Mizuki sneers at Iruka. “Did you see the look in his eyes? Those were the eyes of the demon fox.”
Iruka pulls the shuriken from his back. “You don’t know Naruto at all.”
“I don’t have to know the boy to kill him. It’s the scroll I’m after now. I’ll finish you later.” And Mizuki disappears from sight as well.
The last thing they see is Iruka slowly standing up. “You can try.”
The screen fades to black. Next up, Iruka is seen chasing Naruto. “Give me the scroll! It’s what Mizuki’s after!” he yells. Naruto turns around and promptly hits Iruka. Iruka stands up. “What’s wrong Naruto”’ Iruka is then covered in smoke and reveals that he’s actually Mizuki. “How’d you know I wasn’t Iruka?”
Naruto grins. Then he too is covered in smoke. “Because I am Iruka!” And Iruka is revealed lying against a tree.
Mizuki’s eyes twitch. He then slowly walks up to Iruka. “So noble! Saving your parents’ murderer, and for what? What happens if we let him live?” he says.
Iruka is taking none of it. “Then maybe the scroll is safe from a complete scumbag.”
“You’re a fool. Naruto and I are two of a kind.” Mizuki explains.
“What?” Iruka doesn’t think so.
“I can use that scroll to achieve the same kind of limitless power!” There is a power-hungry smile on his face. “The demon within him hungers for that kind of strength. You were right to despise him.” Iruka coughs up some more blood.
Meanwhile, Naruto is sitting behind a tree nearby. He holds the scroll to his chest. So, it’s true, Iruka-sensei really does hate me.
“Maybe I do hate the fox,” Iruka stammers out, “but not Naruto.” Then the screen focuses on Naruto’s reaction. A look of shock crosses Naruto’s face.
“For him, I have nothing but respect. He’s an excellent student, always does his best. But sometimes he messes up, he’s scorned and mocked by people, but it’s given him empathy. He knows what it’s like to be in pain.” Naruto hugs the scroll even closer to his chest.
He’s crying by now. “Naruto is no longer the demon fox. He is just a pup, and He’s a citizen of Konohagakure, Uzumaki Naruto!” A shot of Naruto’s close-up face is shown. The boy is crying his eyes out.
Mizuki scoffs. ‘That’s so sweet. Just hearing you say that makes me feel warm and fuzzy.’ Iruka coughs out some more blood. By now, the grass in front of him is covered in it.
“Well, Iruka. I had planned to save you for last, but sometimes things just don’t work out the way you plan. So,” Mizuki takes out another giant shuriken and goes for the man. “Say goodbye!” He screams out.
So, this is it… On Iruka’s face is not a look of fear, but instead one of contentment. There is a smile peeking through. But before Mizuki could hit Iruka he gets kicked away. Naruto darts in front of his favorite teacher and takes a stand. The scroll is still in his hands.
“Keep away from Iruka, or I’ll kill you!” The last words are growled out. Naruto is emanating bloodlust right now.
“You should’ve stayed away! Get out of here!” Iruka screams out at the boy.
Mizuki laughs. “Loudmouth brat! You're just a pup, you can't do anything. I can kill you with one blow!”
Naruto is not taunted by the response he got. “Bring it on, you jerk! Anything you throw at me, I’ll give back a thousand times.” He makes a sign with his hands, ready to perform a new jutsu he learned.
“You’re welcome to try!” Mizuki screams out.
“Shadow clone technique!” And before he knows it, the clearing is filled to the brim with a thousand copies of Naruto.
Mizuki looks around him, the look of confidence he had previously is replaced by a look of panic.
“How did he?” Mizuki’s voice is higher than it was before.
Naruto grins and taunts the man. “What’s the matter, big guy! I thought you were going to kill me with one punch!”
“Naruto you…” Iruka watches from the sidelines as Naruto gets ready for an attack.
“Well, then I’ll just have to attack you.” Naruto goes all out on the other man. Punches and kicks are thrown.
Iruka can only watch with amazement. “Naruto really does have amazing potential. It wouldn’t surprise me if someday he really does turn out to be better than any Hokage who’s come before.”
Naruto ends up passing the Genin exam. After Iruka is looked at by a medmin, Naruto heads to the Uchiha compound to tell Sasuke that he passed and to spend the night like they planned, although he is late.
