Regina is gearing down to find out what Emma's fight with the Charmings was about. Regina has been reading her journals and is getting a better understanding of what Emma's life was like. Robin isn't happy with her right now.

Regina eyed the pair as they sat down with baby Neal.

The Charmings smiled at Regina and said good morning to Henry. Mary Margaret looked at Regina. "Did you find out anything useful about how we can find our daughter?"

Regina shook her head. "I'm not done reading her journals yet, but I did learn a lot about our Miss Swan." She paused and took a deep breath. "Emma left me a letter. In it, she said she got into a huge fight with you two. Care to tell me what that was about?"

Mary Margaret eyed Henry before looking at Regina. "It isn't any of your business."

David looked at his wife and sighed. He knew how stubborn she could be. "We fought about what happened before Emma was born." He winced when he felt Mary Margaret jab his side with her elbow.

"Stop talking David!!!" She hissed.

Regina scoffed. "Your daughter is missing and that makes it my business because we share a son. This is also Henry's mother we are talking about. So you better tell me the truth if you want her to come back."

David nodded. "We did argue about something we did. I'm afraid Emma will not forgive us. But what we did was bad enough that I'm afraid it drove her away. I wish we could undo what we did so long ago."

"And what was it that you did?" Regina asked.

Mary Margaret had her arms crossed and jaws clenched, refusing to budge.

David spoke again. "Emma was going to be born with the potential to be dark, a villain. We didn't…"

Mary Margaret finally moved her arms down. "We had visions of Emma. David saw her as a baby. I saw her as a teenager. She ripped my heart out and killed me! She was so dark, so evil! We had to do something!!!"

The Charmings went on to explain what happened, down to the last detail.

To say the very least, Regina was stunned. Completely so, she was appalled by their actions. "Well now, I can understand why Emma left. What were you thinking, taking Maleficent's children from her?"

"She is a dragon! What difference does it make? They are evil!" Mary Margaret exclaimed defensively.

Regina scoffed and chuckled dryly. "You don't know Mal the way I do. She has feelings, just like you and I do. She is a mother and you stole them from her. How would you feel if someone came in and stole your child? Do you get what I'm saying here?" She shook her head. "And you took away Emma's choice to decide on which path to take. What you did, that was dark magic. It could backfire on you both."

Mary Margaret did not like hearing what she was saying. "Backfire on us? Why?"

Regina sighed. "The use of any magic for personal gain always comes with a price. Maleficent? When she comes back, should she ever come back, she is going to want to hurt you."

David shook his head. "Emma slayed her, remember? She's gone."

Regina gave them a small smile. "She is immortal. She's temporarily incapacitated. Believe me, she is alive and can't be killed. Rumple knows that."

Mary Margaret and David looked at each other. Both were worried about their future. "Well then, we will have to make sure she doesn't come back ever."

Regina scoffed. "What makes you think I will allow you to keep Maleficent from her children? It is not the right thing to do if you want to be safe. Don't do anything to make things worse, especially with Emma. She is not happy with you right now. Let me see what I can do to find her and we will see from there."

The Charmings agreed begrudgingly. They would drop it for now.

Henry remained quiet through the whole thing, digesting what his Grandparents did when it came to Emma. He felt very disappointed with what they did to his Ma. "Until we find Ma. I'm going to stay with my mom. What you did was rotten." He got up and left, leaving a half-eaten meal behind. He was so upset and had lost his appetite.

Mary Margaret cried. "I'm sorry."

David rubbed his wife's back. "I know what we did was wrong. I'd like to make up for what we did."

Regina tilted her head. "It's not me you should be apologizing to. Henry is hurting right now. Hopefully, things will be better once we get Emma home." She got up and paid for their meals before she left to find Henry.

After finding Henry, Regina saw him off to school and then called her office to forward her calls to her answering services. She then checked to see how many journals she read so far before she went to her vault and continued reading more of Emma's journals.

She read how horrible it was for Emma growing up in the foster system. She lost track of how many times she'd been moved from one place to another. Regina made it a point to go back and count how many times Emma had to deal with rejection. It left her feeling sick to her stomach.

Regina finally smiled when she read about how Emma met Lily and frowned upon hearing about their fight. She then learned about Sarah Fisher and how she wanted to adopt her. She was shocked to hear how Sarah pushed Emma in front of a car that almost hit her.

She read about all the times Emma felt different from other kids. She read about how The blonde continued displaying magic even when it wasn't supposed to be possible. She read about Emma's dreams and how she would wake up half changed in the middle of the night. She wrote of how she felt like she was a freak of nature. Regina gasped. That didn't sound right. She remembered when Emma wrote about fires starting around her when she got really mad. And how lightbulbs, glasses, windows would break. Electrical surges would cause power outages. Emma would have dark dreams and she never understood why.

Regina frowned. She wondered what happened to cause all that to happen. Wasn't Emma supposed to be the product of true love? The more she read, the less she sounded like she could be the Charmings' daughter. She shook her head, trying to make sense of what happened. "Who are you really, Emma?" She asked out loud.

"Emma again? Why are you doing this Regina? Why are you wasting your time trying to help someone who doesn't want to be found?" It was Robin. He'd come back to see if he could convince Regina to drop everything and come back to reality.

Regina's hackles rose. "Don't presume to know why I am doing this. It's not any of your business, but Henry needs Emma."

Robin scoffed. "You're his mother. He doesn't need that woman! Come on! When will you realize this is a lost cause and join the rest of us? She doesn't need you or your son."

Regina gave him a dark look. "You have no idea what Emma has gone through. I promised her parents and Henry that I would find her and bring her back where she belongs."

Robin sighed. "This is destroying you. Roland misses you. Let Emma's family find her. I need you. My boy and I need you more than they do."

Regina didn't like what he was saying. "Do you know how selfish you sound right now?"

"Can you blame me? Roland and I have not had a chance to spend time with you as a family. You need us, we need you." Robin tried to put his arms around her and pull her away.

"That's the thing, Robin. I don't need you right now. I'm on a mission and I will not rest until I find Miss Swan for…"

Robin huffed angrily. "When will you stop and realize life goes on? I have needs too." He stormed off.

Regina sighed, getting tired of his selfish behavior and it was becoming clear that he was not a fan of Emma. She would need to have a talk with him and try to get him to understand why she was doing this. But at the same time, she did not like it when he had the nerve to exclude Henry from their family time and then use Henry as an excuse to bash Emma. That was a very low blow, and very hypocritical.

Regina looked over the contents. She wanted to talk with Maleficent and see if she could help her make sense of what was going on with Emma and her powers. It sounded like there was a possibility she was a shapeshifter. But neither David nor Mary Margaret was that. She did not understand how Emma could be their daughter when she had that kind of power.

Making up her mind, she decided it would be time to find a way to bring Mal back. She knew the Charmings were afraid that the dragon would go after them. But she needed answers. She went to look through her books to find out how to bring her back. She found it and it required the blood of those who wronged her. She didn't want to ask the Charmings for their blood. Regina felt hers would do the trick since she'd trapped her old friend for many years. It was time to pay up and mend things with Mal. She left and put a shield up before she went to the library basement. It was time to wake the dragon.
