Chapter 1
So like I said in the tags, this is inspired by a BTS MV, specifically Spring Day. For those of you who might not know, in the mv the boys are standing outside a building called ‘Omelas’.
What is Omelas?
Well Omelas is the name of a utopian city of Omelas, whose prosperity depends on the perpetual misery of a single child. this was originated from the book ‘the ones who walk away from Omelas’. I first found out about his from BTS’s mv and now this idea won’t leave my head. Anyways let’s get onto the highlights of the story
* When Naruto was born he was first handed to Kakashi after his parents death, this made Kakashi very attached and protective over Naruto.
* Due to the situation at hand Kakashi was forced to leave Naruto with someone else, he decided to leave him with the 3rd Hokage hoping he can protect him
* Unfortunately Danzo was able to convince the Sandaime to hide Naruto away from the public completely and that this was to protect him from harm.
* This is when the Sandaime decided to make the announcement that the fourth, his wife and their newly born child all passed away in the attack
* Whilst informing all his ninjas that the child that contained the nine tails also died after, and that they wouldn’t need to worry about the kyuubi re-emerging for a very long time
* Kakashi is devasted to know his little brother has passed away and was even more angry at the Sandaime for not protectiving Naruto
* In his anger and grief he was unable to assess the situation and discover the lies behind Hiruzen and Danzo’s words, instead requesting a number of missions outside the village as he couldn’t bare the pain of staying there
* Naruto was taken by the elders into an underground facility that was once used by the previous hokages, there he will be raised by the elders to become a strong Shinobi
* In secret Danzo and the other elders would mistreat and abuse Naruto, whilst threatening him to never tell Hiruzen about their actions
* Years past and Naruto is now 5 years old, his training under the elders and Hokage has started and he is quickly showing his talent in academia and many of the shinobi arts, they all believe that he’ll become a very power shinobi in the future
* Whilst Naruto enjoys training with the Hokage, his training with the other elders is always painful and harm, he quickly started to both fear and hate the elders
* Naruto has lived the first 5 years of his life surrounded by only the elders, and no matter how many time they visit him, either together or on their own to train him, Naruto can’t help but feel lonely
* This cause Naruto (age 3) to accidentally visit him mindscape and therefore meeting the Kyuubi
* Instead of the Kyuubi trying to eat Naruto or convince his to remove the seal, he feels bad over causing the imprisonment of the child and helps train him in many of the ninja arts whilst befriending the sweet child
* Naruto keeps the kyuubi a secret from the elders and continue to develop his ninjitsu down in the deep facilities
* Things do change when he gets a visit from red eyed anbu
