Trust
Sai was happy.
He was scared for his big brother when they were told he was sick, how had they not noticed? He constantly took care of them but no one took care of him.
Touma had been taking care of them since they had gotten to their new home, they liked Touma. He was a little strict and had more rules than Kakashi but he was also nice like Kakashi.
He would help them when they asked for help and left them alone when they wanted to be alone, he also taught them a few things.
They liked when he'd read them stories or pat their backs when they had nightmares.
Sasuke and Sakura said it felt familiar but couldn't place their finger on it.
Kakashi wasn't good at nightmares like Touma was.
Naruto however was obsessed with it, he'd been caught lying about having bad dreams, but even when Touma told him that he knew the boy was lying, the man still patted his back till he fell asleep.
Touma was good.
He had to leave often, mentioned that Kakashi was getting worse or better.
Now they were eating lunch, which consisted of sandwiches. Quick and easy because Touma had work to do.
"Touma what did you have to do again?" Naruto asked.
"Clan stuff. Get the clan prepared for the next fight or attack" Touma responded easily, like kakashi he was very patient with Naruto constant questions.
"Why is the war happening again?" Sakura chirped. Touma pat her head gently. "Because people don't know when to stop"
The man stood and picked up the sleeping Kaguya from the ground where she'd been playing. "Sakura why don't you go take the little one to sleep?" She nodded hopping up and grabbing the sleeping child.
They watched her take Kaguya to another room to lay her down.
"She's been sleeping more" Sasuke observes. Touma nodded "She had it the worst out of you guys, too young to even have an idea. She just knows she isn't home. She's gotten used to being here so she's got much sleep to catch up on."
After that moment Sakura came back and sat in her chair.
"I'm sorry, I know this is difficult for you all. Soon things will get better and be normal, no more weird looks or Clan elders bothering you"
The children all stayed silent. The clan elders had made things hard for them, asking about a mother they knew nothing about. Or an unknown man named Zetsu.
It was frustrating and confusing, Touma always rushed them off with threats and shouts shooing them back inside.
It also stressed them out not knowing where Kakashi was, but with Toumas comfort and constant reassurance it was okay.
"Alright guy I must leave now, stay inside, the others won't bother you in my house. I can't say the same for outside"
They all nodded in agreement. Touma left the house immediately after. The children finished their food and went off to play.
Naruto and Sasuke went to terrorize eachother in theyre room like usual.
Sakura went to the booksheft hoping to read a lovely fairy tail.
Sai however made it his job to run back and forth trying to make sure Sasuke and Naruto didn't break anything or actually hurt anyone while also trying to ensure what Sakura was reading was appropriate and help her with unknown words.

The day went smoothly so far.
Atleast that was until they heard shouting outside. They all collected at the window.
They wanted to leave, to know what was going on. But tbey had promised to stay out.
That was until Touma approached with an injured Kakashi on his back, without thinking they rushed outside.
"Back up kids, back up! Naruto go soak a rag, Sakura I want you to run down to the medics, they’ll be waiting for you, bring back what they give you. You’ll know the place when you see it. Sasuke and Sai go prepare a room”
They all rushed off.
They could only hope their brother was okay. Who knew he was this sick? What type of terrible siblings don’t see how ill their own brother is?
