Summary
A look into Masha’s head during her and Kelly’s backstage brawl.
Note
My dear friend (killerslam on tumblr) and I have talked about “what point MK Ultra fell in love”, and I believe Masha definitely fell when she was choking Kelly out backstage with that extension cord. Typical of their dynamic, I think. Enjoy!

Masha wasn’t stupid. She knew what she was getting into with Killer Kelly. She knew that Kelly was unpredictable, driven by pure impulse for her own entertainment. Kelly put no care into wins or losses, had no regard for her own safety. The only thing she cared about was the thrill of the chase.

That was fine by Masha. If Kelly really wanted to be, then let her be another body to put down in the ring. A pitstop before Masha became champion, a win or two to show off.

Kelly wasn’t stupid either. It took nothing but a little time to figure out what made Masha tick. She knew what to do- she wouldn’t just let Masha win clean. The disrespect drove Masha mad.

So when Masha found Kelly backstage, it was obvious how she was going to handle the situation.

She liked it when she got her hands on the electrical cord, wrapping it around the throat of Kelly and choking her out. She enjoyed even more when Kelly’s hands scrambled at the wire, writhing desperately to free herself from the hold. Kelly coughed, writhing desperately against the hard floor. Masha didn’t let up, readjusting and holding tight.

She knew that she was caught in Kelly’s game. This win meant nothing officially. In fact, it could set her back, make officials finally decide that she’s more trouble than she’s worth. It was all just a decision to suit her own ego, her own wants. And she knew that she wanted more.

It took all of her restraint not to do more when she felt Kelly’s breaths slow from desperate hyperventilation to a smooth cycle of inhalation and exhalation. A phrase about the instinct to survive crossed Masha’s mind, and a sick smile spread across her face.

Masha licked her hand and brought it across Kelly’s face, marking her. The action was enough make Masha feel frenzied once more, panting in pure exhilaration above the unconscious woman. They had ensnared each other. Masha found she didn’t want it any other way.
