They’d been told once before that their love wasn’t meant to be. And before that, they’d been enemies with swords drawn at each other's throats through their hearts yearned for affection.
“We should let them mix and join.”
“What purpose would it bring allowing such forces to come together?”
“Love. We could allow the scales to turn in favor of love this once. Allow the souls to find healing. Perhaps that is the best way for them?”
“I would agree, the souls haven’t found peace yet. Perhaps fate should be allowed to spin them to join rather than to cleeve?”
“If that is what their souls chose, and fate allows, then who are we to stand in their way? What would we gain from this? Perhaps it would be a fine idea.”
She fell in love with a boy who had hair red as fire. He fell in love with a girl whose eyes shone like spring after rain. It felt odd falling in love. At first, it felt wrong, as though hatred should brew in their stomachs and acid from their tongue.
Slowly, the feelings faded and the two joined and loved.
