Queen's Grief
" Who sent you? ", Kushina asked as she held the word to Sasuke's neck.
"...", Sasuke said not a word but only kept eye contact with her.
" I repeat. Who sent you? ", Kushina asked Sasuke with a harsher tone.
"...", Sasuke silently maintained eye contact, yet again.
" You leave me no choice then. ", Kushina stated with a sigh as she readied her blade to sink into Sasuke's throat.
In that flash of a second, Sasuke knocked the sword and lunged at her like a tiger. Kushina was ready to counter any attempts at knocking her down but was proven wrong when he gagged her mouth by placing his hand on it.
" Hold on Tight! ", Sasuke warned before jumping off the window with her.
" W-wait! Ahhhh!! ", Kushina screamed as she felt the air screech her cheeks and her fall at extreme speed.
" Hold on! ", Sasuke told her.
" Ahhhhh!!! ", Kushina screamed while holding onto Sasuke tightly.
Sasuke used his sickle and caught the elongated rope he placed beforehand with it. Sliding along its length, the duo of Queen and Assassin reached deep inside the forest near the city. In a couple of minutes, they reached the rope's other end and Sasuke let them drop to the ground. Since he did not take Kushina's strength factor into account, her pull on him made their fall a little...unheroic. Massive dust and sand came up when their fall occurred.
When it all settled and got cleared, Sasuke found himself in the bottom of Kushina with her breasts placed firmly on his face. He found himself unable to speak due to the plush and soft mound of flesh pressed on his face. Tactical Assassin or not, a man is a man. Like any other man, Sasuke had an involuntary reaction occur in the top region of his bottom half. Kushina, on the other hand, felt like her heart had stopped and started again.
" Where is that Assassin? ", Kushina asked loudly, looking on either side.
" Mmmph!! ", Sasuke tried to speak but was muffled by her heavenly mounds.
" Where is the sound coming from? ", Kushina asked herself before looking down to find her smothering the young assassin with her bosom.
Immediately, she got off of him and got into a battle stance with an embarrassed blush on her face. Sasuke, noticing this, kipped up and stood in front of her. Their eyes had electricity flowing through them, trying to intimidate one another. Kushina removed the nail from the head accessory letting her hair free and threw the nail in the air. As it touched the ground, Sasuke and Kushina went in for the battle. Sasuke tried to punch her in the face but had it blocked and countered by pulling him to her.
Sasuke reversed that by spinning his body and twisting Kushina's arm in the process. Kushina followed the same tactic to get into the optimum position. She then pulled him towards her and clotheslined him right there. Sasuke, who got put down on a clothesline, took her down using his legs to trip her near him. As the two of them pushed themselves up, they both took their time to rest.
" You have the nerve to step into my country and try to assassinate me. ", Kushina growled at Sasuke.
" I didn't. ", Sasuke replied unfazed.
" Oh, then what were you doing in my room? Enjoying my figure when I was sleeping? ", Kushina asked him.
' That was partly true. ', Sasuke thought to himself before answering while taking out a scroll from his weapons pouch, " This was my objective. ".
" To give me a scroll? ", Kushina asked him.
" Yes. ", He replied.
" What does it contain? ", She asked him.
" Please meet a masked man in the forest. ", He replied.
" And get myself ambushed? How stupid do you think I am? ", She asked him.
" I don't think people specify 'masked man' if they plan an ambush ", Sasuke replied like a king.
" Tch...", Kushina flinched as she had no counters to that.
" If you want to know the answer to the question you have been searching for in the Ame forests, follow me. ", Sasuke said as he walked further inside the forests.
" Wait!! This guy is so forceful, dattebane~ ", Kushina shouted in frustration before following Sasuke.
After a couple of minutes,
" How much longer? ", Kushina asked him.
" Just a few more steps. ", He replied walking calmly.
" That's what you said before. ", She argued.
" And it's what I am going to say. ", He stated.
" Mou!!! This guy is such a prick dattebane~ ", Kushina stated with a cute pout following him.
With a few steps, they reach the riverbank that is near the city gates. There laid a coffin used to contain corpses. Sasuke walked towards it with a sense of respect for the person inside. He motioned for Kushina to look at it. Kushina, for some reason, felt her blood turn cold. She moved slowly towards it fearing something she didn't know. Sasuke removed the lid as she stood right next to it.
The person inside was none other than Namikaze Minato, former leader of Konoha and husband of Kushina. She, recognizing her husband in this state, went into a state of shock. She had expected the death of her husband. That was the reason why she went back to her home country and took over to get revenge. But, to see her once smiling and strong husband in eternal lonely slumber has finally opened the floodgates she had kept sealed.
" I found him... In the Konoha forests... Three days before Danzo took over Konoha. ", Sasuke told Kushina.
" *Hic*...*Hic* ", Kushina listened to him while shedding her tears.
*Sasuke's Narration:*
I had been training my archery skills in the jungles of Konoha by hunting as there was no shortage of wild animals there. Bounties were even placed on the wolves who attacked the forest cultivators by Konoha. I wanted to exchange the 7 wolves I hunted for gold that evening.
Right before I put my bow down, I heard the sounds of swords clashing. Feeling curious about what was happening, I ran forward to the location.
Reaching there, I found a large army of bandits cornering a group of 5 in the middle of their circle. In the center of that group was Minato-san. They drew out their weapons and fought the bandits. But, sometimes numbers do matter in a battle.
Hence, Minato-san was forced to gallop away on his horse while his general, Kakashi Hatake, and his forces held the bandits at bay. He galloped towards the nearby village to get help.
Unfortunately, archers set by the bandits attacked him when reaching the Himitsu waterfalls. He sucked left, right, and center to avoid getting injured but in the end, he was human.
He got an arrow shot right through his right chest and fell off his horse. They, ordered to finish him before Kakashi comes, voted one person to shoot the last arrow. I had no interest in Konoha and its issues but, he did not deserve to die like that. So, I raised my bow and shot an arrow right through the bandit's eye. The others looked around for anyone but couldn't find me in my cloaking technique. Using this to my advantage, I shot another one down with my bow.
But, this gave out my general direction to them. Before they could shoot arrows, I emerged from the sky and stabbed them with my dual knives as I landed on the ground. Kipping up, I felt the other three charge at me.
Twisting one's incoming arm, I manipulated his sword to stab the next one. Using him as support, I raised myself in the air and kicked the last one in the neck. By the time I got on the ground, the last one got up. With his killing intent evident, he charged Minato-san to finish their objective. Before his knife could even be raised, I slit off his throat without a thought.
" W-who….are….you? ", Minato-san asked me struggling to speak.
" My name is Sasuke. ", I told him.
" A-ah…Sasuke ", He repeated.
" Let's talk later. We need to get you to Konoha fast. ", I told him as I went to pick him up.
" N-no…", He refused.
" Why? ", I asked him.
" It's…too late… I'm…", He spoke out taking breaths.
" No, we can still- ", I told him again when he interrupted me.
" Sasuke!... Can I…request something… from you? ", He asked me.
" What is it? ", I asked him.
" Bring my…letter and body to…Kushina and give… my family this…message as well. ", He told me.
" What is the message? ", I asked him.
*Sasuke narration ended*
" What *hic* did he *hic* say? ", Kushina asked Sasuke holding her tears.
" Thank you for giving me your red string of love. It was the reason I lived in peace and it is the reason I die in peace. I Love You, Kushina. ", Sasuke stated.
Kushina doubled down in her tears and her screams reached the inner forests. Her sadness was felt by every creature in the surroundings as they turned sad. Sasuke felt something in his chest tighten as he saw the Queen of Uzushiogakure grieve the loss.
" I will take my leave. ", Sasuke told her in a sad tone but was embraced by Kushina from nowhere.
" My Queen? ", Sasuke asked in shock.
" Thank you! *hic* Thank you for bringing me this. *hic* Thank you!!! ", Kushina thanked him while letting out the tears of sorrow she had kept inside for months.
And that was the moment when Kushina and Sasuke got to know each other.
