Dreams And Reality
Sasuke's woke up to barking outside his window. He sat up and peeked out the window, dreading what was out there. Sasuke saw a dog like animatronic outside in the rain with glowing golden eyes, and it's tail was wagging. Sasuke felt the hair on his arms and neck stand on end. His heart began to thump in his chest and pound in his ears. Sasuke could tell that his breathing quickened as well. Sasuke was frozen in fear.
Sasuke felt his chest tighten and his heart was pounding in his chest and a slight ringing in his ears. The ringing muffled a voice. Sasuke still couldn't move. Sasuke was pushed onto the bed but he was still in a panic. Sasuke's chest was rising and falling rapidly, his mind racing and his heart pounding, thundering in his ears along with the ringing. Sasuke stared up at the ceiling while in his panic and he felt a tear roll down from his eye, but he couldn't be bothered by it. Sasuke felt a long object lay next to him with another one half his size laid on his chest.
Sasuke felt a hand connect with his and the other's fingers entwined with his. Sasuke glanced down and saw Leon, the family dog, laying on his chest. Sasuke placed his hand on Leon's head and stroked the dog's head and held the hand that grabbed his. Sasuke holding someone's hand and the having Leon on his chest, he was able to calm down. His breathing slowed, and his heart calmed. The ringing died out, and his mind cleared. Sasuke just about went back into his panic when he heard a voice. "You alright now-" Sasuke screamed and fell off the bed, taking Leon with him.
Leon quickly rushed over to Sasuke and acquired the teens full attention, helping him calm down again. Sasuke was able to prevent another panic attack thanks to Leon. Sasuke scratched behind the dog's ears and pressed their foreheads together, muttering quietly. "Thanks buddy..." Sasuke heard the door open and in walked his aunt and uncle. "We came running as soon as we heard Sasuke scream. But, we decided to wait a little bit." Sasuke nodded and looked back to his bed, looking his cousin Greg in the eye. Greg visibly sighed but didn't have a specific emotion on his face. Sasuke took a deep breath and stayed sitting on the floor.
Sasuke's aunt and uncle left the room. Sasuke took one more deep breath before sighing and letting his head fall onto Leon's shoulder. The dog also huffed and licked Sasuke's ear. "Gack- Leon!" Sasuke chuckled. The dog softly barked and tackled Sasuke to the floor, licking the teen's face repeatedly. Sasuke continued softly laughing. Greg went onto the floor and sat next to Sasuke. The teen laid in the makeshift bed on the floor and his head was on the pillow. Sasuke looked up at Greg. "You good now?" Sasuke nodded. "Yeah. Thanks for that." Greg smiled and nodded. "Anything for family."
Leon climbed off of Sasuke and sat on the floor, his tail wagging and swishing back and forth on the floor. Sasuke began to wonder if he really saw that robo dog or if it was just a hallucination. Sasuke found himself at a dead end, since he didn't know if Greg or Leon had sensed or seen it. He didn't want to appear to be losing his mind. Sasuke stood and plopped on the bed again. He looked out the window and those golden eyes were gone. Sasuke laid back down and covered back up and just laid facing the wall. Leon hopped up and laid against his back. Sasuke felt Greg rub his arm and shoulder, then patted his shoulder.
"Hope you sleep better, Sasuke." Sasuke turned slightly and smiled at Greg. "Thanks, coz." Greg smiled and nodded. Then Sasuke went back to facing the wall and he heard Greg shuffle into the bed on the floor. Sasuke soon heard Greg's very soft snoring. Sasuke was barely able to sleep. The rain stopped 20 minutes after Greg fell asleep and Sasuke could have sworn that he heard metal on metal outside the house. He was hardly able to sleep...
Sasuke was barely awake while in his last period. He was in the back of the class reading with Naruto, Shikanaru, and Kiba to his right. Naruto was playing with his pencil out of boredom. The blonde glanced over and noticed that Sasuke was trying not to fall asleep. Naruto slid a monster energy drink out of his bag and tapped Sasuke's calf with it. The Brit looked down at the can and Naruto noticed a tired smile on Sasuke's face. The other boy took it and smiled at the blonde, then slid the acquired energy drink into his backpack. Sasuke went back to reading and Naruto went back to being bored.
Shikamaru and Kiba saw the whole deal and nodded to each other.10 minutes later the bell rang for everyone to go home. Naruto slipped on his jacket and he ran out. Sasuke didn't have the energy to run out like Naruto did, but he was happy to be going home. Sasuke was shuffling his way out of the school when someone ran into him and both fell over. Sasuke ended up hitting his head on the tile floor and sat there for a few seconds holding his head with one hand. A ringing rang through his ears and a feminine hand on his shoulder, the long nails digging into his skin through his hoodie. As the ringing slowly subsided, he heard a girl's voice growing louder and clearer.
As the girl's voice was more audible and the ringing faded along with his head throbbing subsiding, he slowly opened his eyes. His vision was blurred but slowly cleared. When his vision was back to normal, a girl around his age was above him. Her hair was a bob cut down to her shoulders. Sasuke instantly noticed her fair skin and green eyes, then noticed her pink hair. Sasuke tried to move away from her, but she was strong and her hand held him in place. He felt a wave of pain from her nails and he grimaced. The girl softly gasped and let go. "I'm so sorry about my nails!! Are you ok!? You still haven't answered me on that.."
Sasuke looked around. People were surrounding them. He hated it. He looked back to the girl. "I'm fine..." he quietly responded. "Woah, you're british!? I have cousins there-" Sasuke stood and collected his things and left her there on the floor. The Brit quickly made his way out to the parking lot but he stumbled and leaned against a column while his head spun. He felt dizzy and it felt like his legs were going to turn to jelly. Sasuke also felt his chest tighten and his breath came in gasps. 'Damn crowds...' Sasuke thought to himself. He always hated them. Sasuke felt someone grab his arm on the side not leaned against the column, and the person slung Sasuke's arm over their shoulders.
The person helped Sasuke walk over to a bench and had Sasuke sit down, then they sat down next to him. The kept a hand on his back and had him lean against him while he got his breathing under control and his head cleared. When Sasuke felt alright, he leaned away from them and took a deep breath. "Thanks..." he muttered. Sasuke felt a soft pat on his back. "It's no problem. Feeling better now?" Sasuke felt his body jolt and his head snapped towards the person that spoke. He was met with Naruto's face. Naruto took note of the fear written across Sasuke's face. "Don't worry dude, that'll stay between us. Promise." Naruto assured. Sasuke slowly nodded and looked back towards the ground.
Naruto's hand didn't leave Sasuke's back. That is, until Kiba and Shikamaru began walking towards them. Kiba was the first to speak when the other duo was in front of them. "Yo dude, what happend? Why was there a big crowd in there?" Shikamaru elbowed Kiba in the side. "Sorry about him. But that was Sakura Haruno that ran into you. She's really popular here. One of those rich girls too." Naruto smiled to himself. Kiba rolled his eyes. "And Naruto here likes her." Naruto blushed red as a tomato. "NO I DON'T!!!" Kiba and Shikamaru laughed. "Yes you do, don't lie!" Naruto grumbled under his breath to Kiba and Shikamaru's teasing. Sasuke stood, grabbed his bag, slung it over his shoulder, and walked away.
The other 3 boys watched Sasuke leave the group. Kiba and Shikamaru turned to Naruto. "So what happend before we came over?" Kiba asked. Naruto shrugged. "I promised to keep it between me and him. Bro code." Kiba tilted his head. "I thought he didn't like us." Naruto shrugged once again. "Doesn't mean he can't stick around to get to know us." Kiba nodded. "You're right." Naruto nodded. Kiba said goodbye to his friends and quickly ran to his bus, leaving Naruto and Shikamaru alone. Naruto looked up at Shikamaru. "Wanna hit the library?" Shikamaru shrugged. "Got nothing else to do, so sure." Both boys nodded and began walking to the library. It was close enough to the school.
On their way, Naruto messaged his parents, telling them where he'd be. Naruto and Shikamaru hung out at the library and passed by a fiction section. The boys glanced in and saw Sasuke himself skimming through a book. Sasuke stuck it in his bag and began looking at others, slowly getting the books he wanted from that section. It was only 3 books, but they were pretty big. The boys hid when they saw Sasuke begin to turn towards them. Sasuke walked over and checked out his books, then began to walk towards the door. Naruto and Shikamaru looked at each other and nodded, then began to trail Sasuke...
