“Touch it Gaara, touch it” Kankuro commands

The Sand siblings were having a field trip with their teacher Baki. They’re roaming around the Konoha forest and Baki mentioned about the story of witches, curses, and samurais during the Heian period.

“Pshh witches, that’s fucking unrealistic” Temari said

“Watch your language young lady!” Baki shrieked while pointing his fingers at her

“Sorry” She rolled her eyes

They were looking at the mineral boulder at the top of the Konoha forest, it was wrapped with red thick string and a plaque was planted beside it. There's a written note that says “Please don’t touch, this rock is cursed” and a description below explained the reason for it.

“C’mon Gaara, touch it!” Kankuro was bugging Gaara who is still unfazed.

“Stop Kankuro, it says it’s cursed” Baki said

Temari starts reading the description out loud “During the Heian period, mineral rocks with inimitable energy like this hold a powerful curse. This boulder has been tested by the experts and was deemed to be cursed. The curse is still unspecified, it could be a good curse, bad curse, disease curse, death curse, or love curse. An electric shock will be experienced after touching it. Please don’t touch it as it might place a curse on you, considered yourself warned”

“Love curse? See? Like your head tattoo! C’mon Gaara, touch it. Touch it” Kankuro said while he shook his shoulder, Gaara is still unresponsive.

“Stop bugging Gaara, Kankuro! And you believed that easily? You believed in witches and curses? What are you a kid?” Temari mockingly said

“Pssh! Don’t act tough, I just know you’re afraid to touch it!” Kankuro responded

“The people in this village believed in fairy tales, I don’t trust them. They’re all soft!”

“I still don’t see your fingers touching it. You’re afraid, aren’t you?” He jokingly said to Temari

“And why do you think I’m afraid? Tch! If nothing happens to me, you owe me two ryo” She looked at him while pointing her fingers at Kankuro. He knows she wouldn’t say no to any challenges. She’s a fighter and will never let herself lost to anything.

“Touch it!” He said with a smirk on his face

Temari leaned forward and raised her right arm. Baki rolled his eyes, he did not believe it as well, they have a different upbringing in Suna and Konoha so they wouldn’t believe any of it. Temari’s fingers touched the cold surface of the mineral rock, she did not feel anything. She taps it again, but nothing.

“See? Did I die Kankuro? Give me two ryo” Temari turned around to face her brother, she felt like a winner.

“Pssh!” Kankuro grabbed his wallet and placed two ryo in her hand.

“Are you done with your games? let’s go! We need to go to our next stop” Baki ordered, he half-turned and walked out from their spot.

In one of the classrooms at Konoha University, Shikamaru was sleeping on his desk while his teacher was discussing. Suddenly, he woke up from an electric shock, two electric shocks.

“What the heck was that!?” Shikamaru shouted

All of his classmates were now looking at him. Mr. Iruka, his teacher crossed his arms and furrowed his brows at him.

“Is there any problem Mr. Nara? Did you just have a bad dream in my class? Again?” Mr. Iruka said

“Sorry” he mumbled after clearing his throat.

His friend beside him looks concerned “Are you okay Shikamaru?”

“Ye-Yeah, thanks Choji” He stutters as he rubs the back of his cold neck.

“What happened? You’re pale?” Choji asked while leaning close to his face

“I just felt an electric shock, twice. It’s weird, I felt it in my bones and my organs shakes. What the heck!” He explained while rubbing his chest

“Wow, you probably just had sleep paralysis”

“Uhm, yeah I guess” Shikamaru said while he shakes his head. He could still feel the electric shock beneath his skin.

That night, Shikamaru kept thinking about it, about what he just felt. It was different, it was something else. He groaned as he buried his head in his study table. He glanced at the books on his right and at the top of them his phone was sitting, he grabbed it and opened the music application.

Shikamaru opened his drawer and grabbed his headphones, ready to spend his night with music and a bundle of assignments. He glides his fingers to his phone to start his playlist, and the first song played.

Shikamaru enjoyed the songs that brings joy to his soul.

In Suna, Temari was about to go to sleep after an exhausting field trip when a loud song played in her ears.

“What the hell?” She opened her eyes and starts covering her ears, it was still playing.

“What? What’s going on?” She starts to panic

She run to her bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror, she was now sweating. The music is still playing. She storms outside of her room and yelled.

“Can you keep it low? Kankuro? Gaara? What are you playing?” Temari shrieked, and her brothers went outside of their rooms.

“What the hell Temari? You disturbed my streaming!” Kankuro said

“What’s going on Temari?” Gaara asked in his impassive tone

“Are you playing music?”

“I’m streaming, I’m using headphones. Duh?” Kankuro rolled his eyes at her

“No, I was actually sleeping when you start shouting” Gaara said

Temari gasped and placed her palm to her head. She turned around and closed the door immediately.

“Oh fuck! What’s going on with me? It doesn’t stop!” Temari spends her night listening to different songs in her head, she has no idea what songs are those. It stopped at around 1 am, the time when Shikamaru prepared himself to sleep.
