“It’s one lesson, sugar, you’ll live.” Boq hummed, dragging a still half asleep Fiyero around the courtyard.
“Did you really have to wake me up at five in the morning?” Fiyero grumbled, rubbing his eyes.
“Yes I did!” Boq responded with an innocent smile.
“You’re insufferable.”
Boq went to argue back playfully but suddenly he heard hushed giggling - he practically raised his younger siblings which meant he developed a careful ear.
“Shh.”
Fiyero raised a brow, “I didn’t say a—“
“Uh uh! Shh!”
Fiyero reluctantly shut up. Even though it was a huge turn on, he did not feel like angering his boyfriend. He watched in amusement as Boq’s doe-like brown eyes scanned around the courtyard.
“You’re being scandalacious, Elphie!”
“I heard it that time!” Fiyero exclaimed with childish glee before letting out a squeak as Boq practically bolted towards the noise. Hidden behind two oak trees were the culprits, Elphaba Thropp and Galinda Upland — whom were in a very intimate embrace. Boq’s face became ashen, eyes wide as if someone had just told him they shot a kitten meanwhile Fiyero cackled.
“No way!”
The two girls might as well have defied gravity the way they leapt out of each-other’s arms; Galinda’s cheeks flushing a hot pink whilst Elphaba avoided any possible eye contact.
“What are you two doing here?!” Galinda yelped, her voice so high-pitched that if there were any dogs around they’d be going feral.
“Heaven forbid two boys explore the campus before their first class!” Fiyero grinned a shit-eating grin, “Now what are you ladies up to?”
“We were.. um.. trying a new..” Elphaba stammered, fiddling with her nails. Watching her try to make up an excuse was physically painful for the witnesses.
“For Oz’s sake Elphie!” Galinda huffed before turning to the two men, “We were making out! Happy?” Galinda snapped. Fiyero let out a laugh reminiscent to a screeching bird all whilst poor Boq murmured prayers to Lurline.
“Boq, hon, it’s just two girls kissing, you’ll live.” Fiyero soothed, patting the munchkin’s shoulder pitifully.
“Hon?” Elphaba questioned, immediately picking that up, her emerald eyes narrowing.
“Just?!” Galinda hissed, taking offence.
To Elphaba’s statement, Fiyero smirked and pulled Boq into a passionate kiss - he made sure to give them a good show before pulling away, keeping a steady arm around Boq’s waist who looked like he was now ready to see Ozma herself.
“I KNEW IT! HA! Elphie, you owe me money!” Galinda cheered which immediately wiped the smugness off of Fiyero’s face.
“You knew? That spoils it!” he sulked pathetically.
“I think I’m gonna be sick.” Elphaba grimaced, still not getting the image of her childhood best friend sloppily making out with the Vinkun prince out of her head.
“Me too..” Boq groaned, burying his head into Fiyero’s shoulder.
All this and it wasn’t even 7am.
