"I love you,"

Those three words came down, breaking her world. It wasn't the first confession she received during this long and annoying week, and she knew it wouldn't be the last either. It came as a surprise to her, who had confessed. He was the person you would least expect, given how many girls and boys in their school are after him.

Sasuke Uchiha is his name. He is one of the most popular and wanted guys in their school; it wouldn't be a fair comparison to say that there are other males as popular as him, and with him being the captain of the basketball team, it didn't make it any better.

She never thought she would see the day someone like him confess to her. Him being the one to confess out of all people made her feel like it was some stupid bet or prank to play with her feelings, but unlucky for him, she was the one called the queen of pranks, and she knew a prank when she saw one, but she can't figure out if he's lying by that handsome, stoic face of his. The raven-haired boy was known for playing around but never getting serious with anyone, so why would he now?

It's not like she is any different from any of the girls or boys that are after him. She's an ordinary high school student. The only thing that someone can say she's different about is her ramen addiction, and she wouldn't call it an addiction like her father and Hinata tell her.

"What?" she asked. Shock completely overtook her soft features.

"I love you, Naruto," he confessed again, but this time his voice was firm and full of emotion.

"Me? Are you talking to me?" She asked him once more, her voice full of disbelief, and pointed at herself.

A small, almost invisible smile appeared on his face, resulting in a blush creeping up her gorgeous face and making her insides feel all kinds of warm and fuzzy. She felt like her heart was about to jump out of her chest due to its fast beating.

"Is there any other Naruto in the school? You have a unique name."

She shook her head, a tiny giggle escaping her, "No, I-I don't think so. "

"Then why question it?"

"It's just that..."she was hesitant; he could tell.

"Just what?" he had asked, trying to look at her in the eye. She looked up to face him, ocean blue meeting onyx black.

He saw it, and his breath felt heavy. He noticed the hesitation and fear in her eyes. But fear of what? He couldn't tell. Was she afraid of having her heart broken? He was ready to show her that he was ready to show how much he loved her to the moon and back, even if she wasn't ready. He'll wait. He will wait an eternity just for her.

He grabbed her hand and kissed her palms, and he looked at her while doing so. "It's okay if you don't feel the same. I'll wai- "

"What do you see in me?" She said cutting him off in the process, trying to shrug off the weird sensation she got from him kissing her palms.

Confusion was clear on his face, and before he could ask or say anything, she had talked. She needed to protect herself from getting hurt. She wasn't ready to feel that way again. She can't take it; her heart won't take it.

"I said, what do you see in me? Why do you like me? Why did you say the words 'I love you' so confidently and lightly to me?"

He gave her a soft smile and said, "Well, you are kind and considerate; you are beautiful no matter how you look in my eyes."

"You know how to throw a good punch," he said, making her smirk evilly.

"Your laugh, it's like a melody that I never get bored of."

"How you put everyone above yourself,

"Your eyes. Those beautiful blue eyes God, how much I love those eyes. I could stare at them without getting tired.

"Your whiskers," he traced them with his thumb, "I love how they make your face glow. It gives you unique features that only you have. They make you even more special. "

"Everything, "

Naruto couldn't believe her ears. Those words were for her? She was told words like in the movies she watched. Where were those words actually meant for her? Was he trying to play with her feelings? Was what he said true?

She is confused.

"Maybe it's temporary?"

"Naruto." His tone was firm and strong, indicating how serious he was about his feelings. "Don't underestimate my feelings. I've never dated before because no one has ever made me feel that way. Only you can make me nervous."

He grabs her hand once more with one hand, and with the other he brushes off some strands of her hair on her frame. He held her hand with such tightness this time to show her his seriousness. "You don't have to reciprocate my feelings. Just don't, please, dismiss them. "

She still looked at him with disbelief, but with slightly teary eyes. He wiped away her tears and held her face between his hands. He traced her whiskers with his thumbs softly.

"God! How much I love your whiskers."

He leaned in, and they locked eyes once more before he kissed her nose, then both her cheeks, and then he leaned in to kiss her on the lips. Her lips were soft as cotton, just like he imagined. They tasted like miso, a taste he will clearly start to adore.

He backs away and pulls her in so their foreheads touch each other's.

"Please be mine."

A blush crept up her entire face, making her look away with a small pout visible. He stared at those pouty lips, wanting to kiss them until they were all swollen. He smirked and grabbed her chin, forcing her to look directly into his eyes. He poked her forehead just like his older brother does to him, but with such tenderness and gentleness she never thought a guy like him could have.

She kept staring at him and paused for a few minutes before saying anything, a small, genuine smile on her face. "I think you already know the answer."

"I do, but it wouldn't hurt to hear it from you, would it?" He smirked cockily.

"I'll be yours," she answers, and he engulfs her in a tight hug.
