chapter 1

After the fire

Vi saw the man standing over where she left Powder. “POWDER!” She yells as she gets up and runs over there tackling Silco to the ground “GET AWAY FROM MY SISTER!” She says as she pins him down “Vi?” Powder squeaks, but Vi ignores her for now focusing on the man that she’s pined under her “you better leave my sister alone” she threatens him as she pulls her fist back to punch him in the face “VI WAIT” Powder yells as she grabs her arm “Powder let go” she says as she turns to her sister “Vi please, calm down” Powder says as she looks at her fist worriedly “oh Pow-Pow” Vi mutters sadly as she sees the look on her sister’s face “fine” Vi finally says getting of of Slico, Powder moves away from Vi almost tripping over Vander’s body but Vi immediately grabs her hand to stop her from falling into the fire “thanks” she mutters as she moves over to a wall. Vi then turns to Slico “so what are you still doing here?” She asks him “oh I’m just making sure you guys are ok” he replies coldly “and why would you do that?” She argues “oh I did know your parents, and I was especially close with your mother, me and Vander were the first people she told when she was pregnant with you Violet” Vi stops “what!?” She questions him “it’s true” he says as her circles around her making her feel uncomfortable so she goes to move next to Powder, but Powder flinches and moves away from her “Pow?” Vi says worried “huh?” Powder replies “are you scared of me?” She asks her, but she doesn’t reply and her gaze falls to her hands in her lap which answers Vi’s question “oh Powder” Vi moves to pull Powder into a hug but stops herself and she looks back at Slico she understands that her life with Vander is gone and that her new life with Slico has just begun
