"Sabu! Wake up" Iruka shouts at me, seemingly disappointed at me as it looks like I am slacking off, succumbing to bad habits. "Answer the question!"
'shit' I thought. "Sorry Iruka-sensei, I do not know what the question you are asking me entails."
I heard some snickers around the classroom all directed at the second dead last for being the idiot they thought I was still.
"I'm disappointed in you. Class, we are going to race now." I smiled. This is going to be so fun, maybe I could break a record or something.
"Sabu," Shikamaru says lazily, "you are so troublesome. You should try more."
'Rich coming from you' I thought. I grunted in reply.
Shikamaru rolls his eyes.

"I am so winning this race Sasuke!" Naruto being the loudmouth shouts it right next to Sasuke.
"Hn" Sasuke replied with the signature Uchiha language, annoyed at the blond and ignoring him. Which pissed off Naruto more.
"Second dead last, you're gonna stay that way." Kiba taunts me, his grin showing his sharp teeth.
I ignore him, knowing that he has no idea what I'm capable of. I could outrun everyone here without breaking a sweat.
"Ready, set, go!" Iruka-sensei shouts. I activate my running technique and dash ahead of the pack, leaving them in the dust.
I see their shocked faces as I pass them by. Sasuke looks especially angry as if he can't stand being second best.
Iruka-sensei watches me with a mix of awe and confusion. He must be wondering what happened to me over the holiday that made me so fast. After a few laps, I lapped the entire class twice. Naruto yells that it's not fair and that I must be using some kind of trick. The fangirls agree for once with him and accuse me of cheating. Their Sasuke-kun can't lose, right? I forgot about fangirls, annoying brats. I need a conversation with them sometime soon about the reality of the world. They need it with what's about to happen.

'This is great. I have to max this ASAP, although I can only use this for about 6 seconds.' My speed is phenomenal, although the quickness skill is needed significantly more than the running skill as it seems to help dexterity and the speed of my movement when I fight.
As the rest of the class finished, I walked toward Kiba who was panting. "What did you say dog breath?" Kiba was stunned, to say the least as last year, I was not as quick as I had shown myself to be. I didn't know until now as I thought this body already had the maxed-out speed.
"There is no way HE could be that quick!" Kiba still being utterly unconvinced that I could be that quick. Shikamaru's eyes narrowed with a focused gaze towards me. From what I remembered about Naruto the show, Shikamaru is incredibly smart. Observe

I thought to myself, "He's smart. But our Strength and Dex are not too different. Yet he still has an edge over me."
Iruka sensei looked at me with a mix of shock and suspicion. He must have wondered how the second dead last could have such speed. Was I a hidden prodigy like Itachi or Kakashi? No, he dismissed the idea. He convinced himself that I had just worked hard over the last month. He announced, "It is time for physical conditioning," with a cheerful tone to motivate the class.
Kiba glared at me, but I didn't pay him any attention. I knew how to handle people like him from my past life. The best way was to ignore them.
"Stop ignoring me," Kiba snapped, losing his patience. He didn't have a lot of it, to begin with anyways, "You may be fast, but I'm better at Taijutsu than you, Sabu. I'll crush you." I knew he was probably correct as Kiba excelled at Taijutsu in the Academy.
Naruto came to my defense, "Why are you picking on Sabu? You're just jealous he's faster than you!" His voice was so loud it made my ears ache, but I appreciated his gesture. I smiled at him warmly.
He brightened up at my smile and invited me to Ichiraku. 'This is a great chance to be friends with the main character. I'm not going to miss it,' I thought.
"Sure"
"Yatta! I promise you it is amazing. The best food you will ever eat!" Naruto added. Just surprised that someone accepted his offer, which normally no one does.
"Really? Guess I would be to judge."
"Quiet!" Iruka getting irritated that no one is starting the physical conditioning. I hoped that I might get some points or skills from this. Then the class started the physical conditioning, I followed suit. Halfway through the exercises, I saw:

'Nice' This would help a little. However, it would only increase the rate of development by 1 percent. For it to be useful and important, it would take a lot of leveling up to do. I've also realized that leveling up the Physical condition would increase the energy points by 10%, although not much, but is something. From this information, I would assume that Physical endurance would level up the HP, and the theory would hopefully be tested in the Taijutsu spar after lunch. An increase in Chakra may increase during the Chakra control exercise is my belief now.
Iruka sensei announced lunch and everyone was tired, myself included. In my spare time, I would do exercises I did in my past life to hopefully get my energy up to par as mine is currently nearly drained.
As I was ready to observe everyone, I sensed a certain blond running toward me. How? How can he have so much energy? When I watched the show, I never quantified how much more energy and Chakra he has compared to the rest of us. He's not even close to draining his Energy, I noticed when I observed him.

'Chakra monster.' I thought.
"Let's go to Ichiraku! I promise you won't regret it." Naruto practically jumped for joy. He says it like it was a rare occurrence when he last went to Ichiraku. No wonder why he was so short, he probably suffers from malnutrition. Scrap that, he suffers from malnutrition. It may seem that I do not want to go to Ichiraku, which is a lie, as it has been some time since my last good restaurant meal. Although, I didn't show it. I was incredibly hyped and looking forward to it.
I felt a twinge of hesitation as I thought about the consequences of befriending Naruto. I knew that the Hokage, the root, and the Anbu would not be happy with me for getting close to their Jinchuriki. They would probably see me as a threat or a spy. But I didn't care. I felt sorry for Naruto. He had a miserable life, being shunned, blamed, and beaten up by the villagers for something he had no control over. He was just a kid, like me. He deserved some kindness and friendship. No one else seemed to care about him or help him. They just pitied him or ignored him.
If anyone asked me why I was friends with him, I would tell them the truth. I had nothing to hide or be ashamed of. I have no mal intentions towards him. My reasoning was sound and logical. Be friends with him so he would not feel as alone as he is currently and to make him stronger with me. In my opinion, his potential was not realized to the fullest extent in the show. As he only 2 shadow clones and variants of Rasengan. However, I did not feel the need to change the universe too much as I still want him to fail the exam and steal the forbidden scroll. All he knew It was not a crime to be friends with an orphan who happened to be a Jinchuriki. He was not a monster or a weapon. He was a person. And if they wanted to blame someone for his situation, they should blame Lord Third for revealing his secret to the public. That only made things worse for him.
As we sat down at Ichiraku, Naruto order his signature miso ramen, and I ordered the same.

Ayame asked, "And who is this? A friend?"
"Sabu," I introduced myself, "this is my first time in Ichiraku. I was never a huge ramen fan myself. Maybe this would change my opinion."
"It will! Believe it!" Naruto said, slightly annoyed at me for saying that I was not a fan of Ramen, "I'm going to be the Hokage, what about you."
"Hm, that is an interesting question." He was slightly surprised at the lack of mocking from me, after all, no one believed in him, I did as he was the Hokage in Boruto. Hopefully, I could stop that little brat from ever happening. I continued, "my goal in life is to protect those I hold dear to, my friends and perhaps ones that I love."
"Ok," Naruto said, slightly taken back at my response.
"That's not it. In addition to that, I shall, no I need to protect those who cannot protect themselves, as well as those who deserve to be protected. After all, that is what I believe a ninja should do. Why do you want to be a Hokage, Naruto?"
"People will respect and recognize me if I become Hokage!" he replied.
"That may be true, however being a Hokage is more than just for recognition and respect. Being a Hokage means that you are responsible for the people. You are to protect them and do whatever is in their best interest. Protect all lives and maybe change some." I implied slightly at the Uchiha massacre. It is the reason why my respect for the Hokage was not as high as Naruto's respect for him.

Naruto frowned, "I guess you're right". He then broke into his foxy grin, "Then, I will be strong enough for everything that you just said."
