Numb

"Temari, I am coming with you" Kankuro stated, he was stubborn. He wanted to visit Sakura so bad. It's been a month. He last saw her when she was in Suna for a month long mission.
They had become so close that time, they were sleeping in the same bed. It had become a habit. He wasn't able to sleep a wink this past month. Everytime he had tossed and turned the bed felt empty. He loved cuddling her. He was the small spoon and Sakura loved, dare she admits it. Kankuro smells like home to her.

"Please, you of all people especially know how I feel dammit". She could see those bags under his eyes, he really did miss her. When she wasn't there Kankuro and busied himself with making making puppets and perfecting poisons along with the antidotes for them. He spent all night in there basement, just so he could get his mind of off her. He had fallen in love with her overtime and it was too late before he even realised it.

"Fine" Temari said. Kankuro couldn't stop smiling. He was going to visit her.

Every time over the past three years Sakura was the one who had come to visit him in Suna. Either if it was with Naruto when he went to meet Gaara or in the name of missions. The travel to Suna took three days in total. that didn't matter to her. What mattered to her was the person she waited to meet.

"Arigato Tema, I love you". He said and ran off to pack up his things. Temari could only look at him dumbfounded. His brother had fallen head over heels for that pink haired kunoichi. He had called her sister that pet name since their parents had died. She could see how happy she made him, and she was grateful for her. For all she knew back during the chunnin days she was chasing after a guy name Sasuke, I guess not anymore she thought .

Sakura was beaming, her smile was so bright, Tsunade hadn't seen it in years of her training. She opened the letter hurriedly, It was from Suna. Whenever they were away from each other they sent letters to each other. "I am coming along with Temari Saku chan, I hope there is enough space for me on our bed princess." Ofcourse when she returned from Suna she went ahead and bought a queen size bed , just for them. So whenever he comes from Suna he could crash at her place, just as she did in his. He used to call Saku chan only in the letters. This made Sakuras heart swell with happiness. She rolled her eyes after reading, she could feel Kankuros smirk through those words.

Tsunade snatched the letter from her hand, she was too curious. Usually she had recieved the letters at her door step. Or she would gi and collect them herself, but from the past two days she was stuck in her Shishō's office. Helping her with those files seperating them by category, A - Rank missions, C - Rank missions and like wise.

"Shishō, give that back". She tried to snatch it but failed at that. " I did not know that you shared a bed with some one Sa - ku - ra". She stressed those three syllable. Making the pink haired kunoichi fume with embarrassment. Her whole face was beet red. Shizune was watching the whole conversation with amusement, she couldn't help but snicker in the back. "When were you planning to tel me ?, Kankuro really ? you could have atleast gone for the Kazekage of the Sand". "You" she started. "You are going to tell me everything, From the beginning."
Sakura sighed. It was supposed to happen sooner or later. "So I am losing my two best ninjas to the Sand". She said with a sad face.

"For the last time, we are not dating". She stressed on the last four words. "But you both sleep together, you even went ou of the way to buy a queen size bed hmm" She said with a smirk plastered on her face. "You are only fooling yourself here Sakura". Sakura was only shocked at her master. "How, how did-,". words caught in her mouth. "I saw it the last time I crashed at your place. When I got got drunk at the bar and you took me home. I never got to thank you for that". "Actually I knew it from the get go, you always asked me if there were any missions to Suna I was confused at first but I did some digging, and found out you were recieving letters from a certain some one, I know you Sakura, you don't go out of the way unless it's someone special. Kankuro is that, you love him Sakura, you are in love with him. I can tell by your smile. I haven't seen you smile like this in forever". Ofcourse she was always two steps ahead, she is the Hokage afterall. Sakura was in love with him. She knew but was to afraid to admit it. Afraid that she would get unrequited love. All those doubts has washed as she remembered her month stay in Suna. It was calming and felt like home. She would call it her second home. Suna was her second home.
