The Sun and Moon are supported by pillars

Naruto was shunned from all around him. He had no family, and no friends to depend on. People would either ignore him or hurl abuse (physical and emotional alike) at him but he never gave up and made it his mission to be Hokage so the abuse would stop and everyone would come to love him instead. There was only one problem, he struggled in class and no teacher helped him as such apart from Iruka sensei who gave him ramen from time to time, but he couldn't ask him for help as he doesn't pick favourites......Whilst heading home he stumbled upon the genius of his class, the most popular boy, the mysterious Sasuke Uchiha sitting on the pier alone at night looking up at the night sky. But Naruto didn't see the same prideful Uchiha who was too good for anyone else in his class. He finally saw the vulnerable little boy who was left traumatised and lonely all of a sudden. Lost and with no one to support him. Naruto couldn't help that despite seeming so different they were both suffering the same way so being either the braver one (or more desperate) of the two, Naruto makes the first steps of a friendship that changes the course of history forever.(In which Naruto and Sasuke find comfort in each other)

This story is my headcanon of what if Sasuke and Naruto were friends from the beginning and helped each other out instead of being rivals during the academy days and supported each other with their darkest thoughts. I also like the headcanon that they work together to uncover Kohona's dark secrets and not trust the leaf at all from the beginning so this fic will paint Konoha in a bad light. also because I want a happy ending Orochimaru will have a completely different character and motive for fighting the leaf.This fic will only focus on the pre-time skip period timeline-wise and will not cover Madara, Obito or Kaguya and Itachi will be the only member of the Akatsuki that will make an appearance as such. Maybe I'll do a part 2 to imagine how Shippuden would change according to this AU headcanon that is not lore accurate. I'll try to keep the characters' personalities as similar as possible (apart from socially awkward Sasuke), but this is my interpretation given this is a headcanon. with that, all said please enjoy.
