Little girls trouble
The forest was quiet as you walked through it, the only sound heard was your footsteps, birds in the distance and the sound of your snakes moving against each other as they stared ahead with you. After deciding that instead of sleeping on the beach you would sleep in a tall tree, you started to wander hoping to find said tree, there had been a forest not to far from the beach which is where you were right now. You were hoping to find people but you also weren’t because you didn’t know if they would be good or bad, you were very uncertain about your decisions not knowing where they would bring you. You still hadn’t figured out what anime you were in, it had gotten too dark for you to see your face on any reflection, so you left it for later.
An owl hooted over your head as you walked by it, it’s glowing eyes ominous yet beautiful in the dark, it flew off, probably looking for something to eat. You looked up at the sky, the stars twinkled, they looked perfect, “ wow, the stars are really beautiful here, I can see them so clearly.”, you said as you noticed how dark and clear the sky was, “Not like back at home where there was to much light pollution. “ you gasped as you saw a little flashing light fly over your head, the blinking yellow light flying in uneven patterns, you pointed at it grabbing the attention of your snakes, who hissed in surprise.
“look a firefly!”, you said a small smile forming on your lips.
Their heads followed the firefly as it flew down to land on a bush not to far, you slowed as you walked by, stopping to admire it, as did your snakes. Your smiled turned sweet as you remembered a time with your friends when you saw a firefly for the first time, you had been so happy then. Your expression dampened at the thought of your friends but you kept walking, you didn’t have a destination in mind you just wanted to find a nice tree to snooze on so you could wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to look for people. You thought of what you would do once you found people, you found your eyes wandering towards your snakes, you couldn’t see them that well but enough where you could see their tongues flicking out and eyes jumping to different objects that passed by, you knew people would get scared of them if they saw them, especially if you weren’t in a world where people had snakes for hair. You had to figure out something.
“ hey.”
Every one of them stood to attention and waited for you to speak. “ if ever we find people you have to promise to hide, any way you can, hide, cause some people might not like you guys. I would help but I don’t really have a hoodie or anything”, you found it funny how even after getting sent to another universe you still had the clothes you wore to bed; which consisted of a camisole, shorts and sadly no bra. You tried to think about what they could hide in, you came up with many idea, some better then most.
While you were in your head something strange was happening behind you, you stopped walking in slight surprise.
Something felt different, it seemed your snakes were already steps ahead of you, you didn’t think much when you saw them all disappear from your view, that is until you felt the familiar tickle of hair on your back instead of the smooth scales you had quickly grown accustomed to in the small duration you had these snakes. You stopped walking and twisted around to look behind you and to your awe and surprise you had normal hair, albeit was way, way longer then it use to be, like as in it grew from your shoulder blades all the way to your butt. “woah, I didn’t know you guys could do that. “, you deadpanned before saying, “Well I don’t really know anything about you guys but still. This is going to be useful…” You quickly put your hand under the thick hair and brought to sit on your shoulders, it felt extremely thick and hard as you brushed your fingers through it, the weight of the snakes was still there but they themselves just weren’t there, it was honestly bewildering, the hair shook all of a sudden which caused you to take your fingers out and watch in amazement as the hair looked to become an almost liquid sticky texture, it twisted around as if writhing in pain before finally morphing back into your snakes, one by one they all appeared until finally your long hair was gone and your snakes took its place. Woaahhh. You smiled and laughed as you looked at them, “ That’ll definitely work.” , they all hissed happily and smiled…ish, it was very gummy and you could see the rise of sharp teeth but you could also see a smile in there, scary but oddly cute, they’re oddly smart too.
You looked at them thoughtfully.
“You guys are way smarter then any animal, you seem to understand everything I say.”

“ SOMEONE HAS STOLEN A HYUGA CHILD OF THE MAIN HOUSE, EVERYONE HURRY AND FIND HER!”, a voice screamed panic and urgency clear in their voice.
The cold quiet night was disturbed and awakened by this call, the hyuga men and woman were quick to awaken and start searching for the child who had been taken from her room, it was all hands on deck as panic filled the air, somewhere in the midst of the panic a man of tall stature, who wafted authority stood in front of a boy as people ran about around them looking for any sign of the miscreants who dared to steal a child from the main house.
“ Neji I need you to join the shinobis to help look for the child.”
Neji sharply nodded , “ yes sir.” As he was about to turn around he was grabbed by the shoulder, he turned and was met with the hard and sharp stare of the man , “don’t fail me.”. He stared back blankly unable to show his resentment for this man in fear of punishment, any negative look to this man seemed to trigger him. He nodded before jumping onto the roofs to join the shinobi as they looked for the child.
Meanwhile in the tops of the trees two men ran quickly as they tried to get away from the commotion they had caused, they had chosen to do a very risky mission, bring the eyes of a hyuga clan member intact and gain a reward 100 000 000 ryo, many ninjas had tried this mission wanting the large sum of money but most had been caught and killed which deterred almost everyone from taking the mission, except these two, they were confident they could succeed.
A tied up child was strapped to one of the guys back, her mouth bound as tears soaked the cloth. She was scared but she tried not to show it. She had woken up to a feeling in her tiny gut telling her something was wrong but before she could do anything she was grabbed and tied up, and strapped to one of the men. The masked men looked at each other as they jumped from branch to branch, one man had a look of disdain as the weight of the child started to bother him, “ did we have to take the whole kid we just want her eyes, why not just pluck them out and leave.” The other ninja looked at him like he was some brainless idiot and in hindsight he was but this time especially.
“ are you brain dead or what, if we had done that we would have been caught sooner than this, she would have screamed and we would have been instantly killed.”
“yeah well she’s getting heavy so why don’t you carry her!”, his face grew red in frustration as he aid this
He stared with annoyance as his partner ignored his complaint, they kept running for awhile before they finally decided to stop. They put the shaking child down and looked at each other before walking a couple feet away to talk.
“were far enough now so let’s take her eyes and get out of here, those hyuga guys are quick at finding people and I’m gonna be honest I don’t want to end up being found by those white eyed freaks.”
“ Im pretty sure their eyes are purple.”
“whatever! Let’s just take her eyes and go.”
They hadn’t seemed to realize that someone had already caught them. You had been walking when you heard what sounded like loud thumping noises of people running, you had ducked immediately not wanting to be seen. You wondered what it could be as you crawled to a nearby tree and hid as best as you could, your snakes looked around trying to find the source of the noise, one of them hissed loudly at you and pointed its snout in the direction behind the tree. You slowly maneuvered to be on your knees and peeked past the tree. What you saw shocked you, not to far away where two men; one wore a black mask over his mouth while the other wore a dark green one, they were both in loose black jumpsuits your eyes caught the sheen of a large sword on the back of one of the men, it was menacing as it almost seemed to slice through the air every time he moved, what really got you though was the hunched body of a child leaned against a tree, she looked stoic but past that expression you could see hints of fear and anxiety, she had streaks of dry tears on her cheek. Her long brown hair was disheveled, it stuck to her face which was covered in a thin sheen of sweat and dirt, you stared wide eyed as you tried to think of what to do, maybe I could run and grab her, you glanced at the men as they talked . You tried to slowly inch closer but once you felt the gnawing fear of being caught under that blade you were forced to sit back down, it felt like the air was weighing you down, it was thick with fear and malice. I have to help, you thought as looked at her face with sorrow and worry, she must be so scared. Your breath hitches both the men walked back towards her, the man without the sword grabbed the collar of her nightgown roughly, her eyes furrowed as the man brought her face close to his. She glared harshly at him and struggled against her bonds, he smirked as he watched her thrash, “ its no use your not strong enough.”, he raiser his hands and brought his thumb and two fingers close to her eye, “ now time to take these beauties out.” , he laughed loudly as she looked away and shut her eyes harshly, he blew out of his nose and turned to his partner with a lazy look, “ can I get some help here she won’t stay still.”
The man with the sword scoffed and rolled his eyes, he walked over and stood behind the girl. He had a cold look on his face as he grabbed her head, he dug his fingers into her cheeks, hard enough to form bruises. You watched horrified not knowing what to do, they’re gonna hurt her I need to do something…..but what, they could kill me, then I won’t be able to save her. Your mind ran at 100 km/h as you tried to formulate a plan, your body felt clammy, it felt like your blood was ice, the closer his fingers got to her eyes the more you started to sweat. Your snakes were getting as jittery as you, your face grimaced. Think. Think. Think.
“ this won’t hurt at all…well for me at least.”
He chuckled as his finger touched around her eyelids, she screamed loudly in fear, you could hear her chanting no through the cloth in her mouth, anything coming out of her mouth was muffled, her screams set something off inside you, like a tight rope snapping after to much pressure. Your fear of being killed was thrown out the window, you needed to save this girl. Her tiny form reminded you of your sister, and you would never leave your sister to have this fate.
You were desperate and making a plan would take to long, so you shot up out of your hiding spot.
Both men stopped what they were doing and turned in your direction, the man holding the girl let her go and she fell to the ground. She pushed herself up to look at you as you ran towards her, you completely ignored the men that raised there weapons at you, your focus was only on her, she didn’t know if you were good or bad but from the worry in your eyes she knew you were there to help her, she pushed her bound hands on the ground and tried to meet you half way . Your hands were outstretched towards her ready to scoop her up and carry her away.
It was almost as if your snakes knew what to do without you even having to tell them as their loud hisses filled the air, the two men had raised there weapons and brought them down on you the second you got close enough but what they didn’t expect was a sea of snakes to plunge on them, some snakes bit whatever flesh they could reach while some pushed against the weapons of your attackers, the large sword, which you were the most worried about was pushed away from you and forced to hit the ground a few feet away from you, instead of cutting your flesh it cut through the grassy ground. Both men screamed, your snakes were quicker than them and they werent able to dodge their attacks, you snakes sunk there teeth in as deep as they could to cause the mist pain they could. Your snakes pushed them away, this gave you a huge advantage and gave you the chance to grab the girl without any interference. You put your arms under her legs and back and hoisted her close to your body, bridal style.
You didn’t waste any time and ran away from both of those men, as you disappeared into the shadows of the forest the men finally recollected themselves. The man with the sword pointed in the direction you guys went.
“Run after her!”
The other guy looked aggravated as he wiped the blood off his bite marks, “ I KNOW THAT ALRIGHT.”, he but back at his partner, he was frustrated at the thought that you could ruin there mission, how could such a puny girl come and ruin their mission; that they were so close to succeeding in, and make them lose the chance of getting a bunch of money. It pissed him off.
Your breathing was loud and heavy as you ran with the girl in your arms, you couldn’t believe you had just done that. But looking done at her it seemed worth it, her eyes were big as she stared at you , “ your okay now I’m gonna help you.” I need her to tell me where we could go. Before you could even try and remove her gag so she could tell you one of your snakes came and bit the corner of it, it seemed to have startled her as she flinched away, the snake didn’t seem to notice or care about her surprise and just removed the gag. She gasped as it fell to lay on her chest, it was damp with saliva and tears, it didn’t seem to gross her out. She was too focused on you. She stared at you with shaky eyes, “ who are you…why are you helping me?”, you smiled softly at her but it quickly changed to an expression of hurriedness.
You adjusted your hold on her and glanced around you as you ran, “ ill tell you later, first we need to survive this, can you tell me if there’s any place that will have people that’ll help us.”
She sputtered for a second, “ yes there is! Just follow my directions!” , she looked ahead and closed her eyes, all of a sudden veins popped out from her forehead when she opened her eyes again and you heard a faint “byakugan!”, come from her.
Byakugan… that’s from Naruto, am I in-
“Duck!”
You squeaked as you ducked, the wind of a huge object passed by on your back, your snakes also narrowly avoided the attack, you exhaled relieved you had just dodged getting your head cut off. You straightened back up and looked ahead at the woods and pushed your legs to run faster.
“ if you give her back now we swear we wont kill you.”
“ Yeah just give her back she’s very important!”
You looked back and yelled back defensively , “ no, she’s not yours!”, due to looking back you didn’t see the branch that was sticking out of the ground, your foot caught nd you were sent forward towards the cold ground, but it seemed you were lucky, a snake came forward and pushed you back up before you could fall, you looked back gratefully at them, “ do you guys have my back!”, they all shifted on your back and the ones you could see nodded at you before looking back to protect you from the men as you ran. Your legs were already aching and so were your arms, running with a child in arms isn’t really something you did everyday back at home. Every now and then you heard the whistle of weapons passing by, you flinched every time always thinking they would hit you. But it seemed your snakes were doing a good job at keeping them from hitting you, which you were very grateful for.
The girl in your arms moved as she called out to you, “ go left were almost there!”, this caused relief to wash over you knowing you might actually survive this, you took a sharp left and kept running, you could the men yelling for you and cursing you out but you just kept going. You glanced back at the men wanting to see if they had gotten any closer, what you saw, or at least what you didn’t see, made the color on your face drain. The man with the giant sword was gone, you looked at your snakes for answers, they seemed to already know what you meant and looked around at the rapidly moving tree around you as you ran, your throat went dry as you realized they didn’t know either.
“Over there!” , you looked in the direction her bound hands were pointing at hoping to see people but you didn’t, “ I can see them with my byakugan, they’re close.” You would have felt happiness and relief but not knowing where huge sword dude was made you fear for your life and hers.
The leaves started to thin out as you kept running, an indicator that you were close to leaving the forest, you could see the moon light getting brighter the closer you got to the border, the girl smiled as her home got closer. You wheezed as you lungs started to cramp, happy that you could finally be safe and take a break.
“Where over here!”, the girl scream, a new sense of hope in her eyes.
“hey-“, your words quickly died in your throat as a huge body shot out from the tree and stood menacingly in the way. It’s the sword guy, he’s here. He reached behind him to grab the hilt of his sword, through the darkness of the night you could see his smile, your grip tightened on the girl. Its too late i cant mive what-
You didn’t even register her scream, it’s almost as if everything was in slow Mo as he pulled his sword out and slashed through the air, your snakes didn’t have a quick enough reaction time to stop the sword, you heard them hiss loudly as they shot down towards where the sword was coming towards you.
A bright white pain blossomed in your lower stomach as his sword ripped through your flesh, the metal cold against your hot flesh, a screamed ripped itself from your throat as your knees buckled, you hit the ground limply, pain shooting out from every nerve in your body. The girl had fallen out of your arms and rolled a couple meters away from you, tears spilled from your eyes as you reached a hand down to touch your stomach, the pain was excruciating it was like nothing you had felt, the pain was so throbbing and electric that it made your teeth ache. You pressed against the wound, pain shot into your spine and you let go of it immediately, you weakly brought you arm close to your side, you hand shook as blood stuck to it.
Your whole body was shaking, the pain was earth quaking to you.
Blood was leaking out of you like an open faucet , it stained your clothes, the deep red color spilling onto the ground. Your snakes fussed around you, some surrounded you protectively and kept guard as both men stood around the both you and the girl, the other man had caught up after you had hit the ground, he was staring red faced but smirking as he watched you bleed out, a sick sense of bloodlust clear in him. You pushed your forehead into the dirt, the sweat on your forehead making dirt and hair stick to it, you vision was blurred by tears as you saw the glint of the man’s sword, your eyes drifted to the shaking form of the little girl. The dirt under your chin was wet from your tears, no no no I need to get to her, you brought out your arm from your side and reached out to her, your finger were covered in blood that dripped down onto the forest floor like rich honey. You pushed to reach her, the sharp sound of a sword resonated next to your head as the shiny blade plunged towards your outreach hand, before the sword could reach you stained skin your snake clashed against the sword, the man backed up quickly to avoid the sharp teeth of your snakes as they launched at him threateningly. He scowled at you, he stared menacingly at your snakes, he hmped and turned towards the girl, he slashed his sword through the air, your blood slipped of the sword easily and hit the ground beside him. Your arm shook before finally falling to the ground far from the girl, your other arm laid limply beside you, you tried to move your legs to push yourself closer, but just like your arms they were weak and limp, and of no use.
“I was gonna end you quickly but-“, he said as he walked towards the girl, “ I think ill just leave you here to die a slow and painful death.” , veins popped on your forehead and your eyebrows furrowed in anger as the man roughly grabbed her brown hair and pulled her up, she screamed loudly and reached up to grip her his hand, he didn’t budge not caring that he was hurting her.
“let her go!”, you yelled to him, blood fell past your lips and down your chin.
Your snakes reached out to the girl to grab her but the man slashed at them, he didn’t succeed in cutting them so they went in to attack again, but they all froze the second they saw the man bring his sword up to the girls chin, he smirked as he watched them stare, knowing that they wouldn't do anything as long as her life was in danger.
“ Cant help her now can you huh! now that your dying!”, the men behind you laughed loudly, you dug your fingers in the dirt, angry, angry that these men were attacking a poor innocent child. Your snakes launched at him angered, he yelled as he stepped back, almost tripping.
You laughed, he deserved whatever came his way.
“ these dumb snakes! Can’t I just kill her!”, his eyes were big as he reached for his weapon, his eyes red, bloodlust swirling in them.
“Just leave her be we have what we need.”, he raised the girl even higher to put emphasis on what he meant, she yelped as she clenched her teach. You tried to get up but your arms let out and you fell back down on the ground, the wound burned as it touched the ground, a sob ripped itself from your throat as everything got dizzy and blurry. You started to feel weaker and weaker, I think I’ve lost too much blood…but I need to save her. Your eyes focused on her, she had blurred spots on her face but you could clearly see the worry and fear on her face, she seemed to be yelling something but you couldn’t hear her, what is she saying…you closed your eyes a euphoric feeling washing over you, I’m so tired…you flinched as something splattered on your face. You cracked an eye open; you did so begrudgingly, your eyelids felt like weights as you pulled them open to vividly see a sword fall to the ground and a body quickly following it hit the ground with a wet squealch as blood flew in the air from the impact , you could recognize the body as the reason for your current fate of death, the man with the sword.
You internally smiled, she’s safe now. A bright light started to from in your eyes, even when you closed your eyes the light was still ever present. It started to get brighter and brighter until that’s all you could see, a warm feeling touched your head as you felt presences near you

The warmth spread through your body and enveloped you in a hug. The familiar feeling of your parents wrapping their arms around you was comforting. You could almost forget everything that had happened, the pain, the fear, everything.
But nothing lasts forever, as you were enjoying yourself everything started to turn dark and the warmth started to leave your body to be replaced by cold cold void…..
