Chapter 4
Today it was finely Wednesday and Sakumo was a mess. He was trying to think of how he would do it.
“Probably should start with an apology for what happened last time.” He paced back and forth in his room while mumbling what he was going to tell Orochimaru tonight but nothing seemed good enough.
“What if they hate me? What if- no.” He sighed as he continued to ramble on and on to himself as one of his many wolf summoners watched.

Meanwhile Orochimaru was at home brushing their hair after they’d just finished bathing.
They were looking through their closet as well to see what looked good to wear for this occasion, they ended up picking a casual purple kimono then finished taking care of their hair and went to put on some simple pieces of jewellery.

Soon enough Sakumo was ready and went out to the forest to find the snake summoner was already there and sitting on a rock near the edge of the lake.
The light of the setting sun on their pale skin looked beautiful as he approached.
“Good afternoon. So I’m just going to cut to the chase…I like you a lot and I was wondering if maybe you’d go out with me?” He spoke in a nervous tone and looked at his feet as he waited for a response.
They looked over to him then back to the shimmering water before speaking in a bored voice.
“No thank you. I’m already dating Jiraiya.”
Sakumo was a little taken aback by this sudden revelation. He thought Jiraiya was straight…you learn something new every day I guess.
“Oh…well I hope you have a good night.” He spoke with sadness and started walking away with a heavy heart.
Orochimaru looked back at the man then stood up and walked away. This was a very short night and thankfully it didn’t go as bad as they’d thought it would have been.

Sakumo was honestly a little devastated when he got home. The love of his life was already taken and there was nothing he could do about it.
He undressed into just his boxers then flopped onto his bed while looking up at the ceiling lost in thought…maybe in another universe they could be together.
