Thoughts
TenTen and Temari’s house:
“I wonder if Shikamaru and Naruto have found Neji and Kawaki,” Tenten said turning to Temari.
“Yeah, I hope they have and how did you find out about that anyway? You’re supposed to be focusing on your weapons shop.”
“I know but I’ve been thinking about what to do when Neji returns. I have a mouthful for his ass leaving without any explanation,” Temari chuckled.
“You and your vivid imagination. I know you missed him but do you need to go to such extremes to punish Neji?,” Tamari questioned as she kissed Tenten on her forehead.
“Yes because his ass should have told somebody before just leaving me and Lee missed him and yeah he is going to be in for it when he comes and see me,” Tenten huffed turning back to her weapon blueprints.
“Ok, I’ll leave you to it I’m going to call Shikamaru to see if he still needs me to hack the FBI’s database,” Temari kissed Tenten’s forehead and stepped into her office.
Temari picked up her phone and dialed Shiakmaru’s number.
“What’s up Fourball?,” Neji's voice ranged through the phone.
“Well hello to you Neji How have you been?”
“Good until you decided to call in the middle of the night. What do you need Temari?”
“Well I was calling to see if Shikamaru still needed my help finding your ass but I can hear I’m not needed anymore. I guess Shino’s information was enough.”
“Yeah, It was anyway how’s Kenta? He’s almost 14 right.”
“Yes, he is,he has grown into an interesting teen so far. His little sister on the other hand is an different story,” Temari sniffled an laugh thinking about her kids.
“You guys have a daughter now? Damn I wonder what else I have missed,” Neji felt disappointed hearing that.
“Yes, her name is Kimi she turns ten years old this year.”
“Wow, so Tenten had another baby. I know that was terrible on you huh.”
“You could say that she gave me hell for getting her pregnant again, but I would do it over again in a heartbeat to have Kimi.”
“How was Ten’s pregnancy it wasn’t difficult was it?”
“No that was good it was just after Kimi was born things became difficult.”
“What do you mean?”
“Kimi was born deaf and we accepted that It was the process of getting her hearing and more that was difficult for Ten she felt like part of it was her fault. But we didn’t know Kimi was going to be deaf and we didn’t know it was in either of our families either. Overall we got through it learning sound language was fun.”
“That’s great has Kimi adjusted well to hearing and is she verbal or nonverbal?”
“She’s verbal and she is an handful when she doesn’t like what I have to say she takes off her hearing aid and stop signing too. She has an attitude she might like you,” Temari laughed.
“Who are you on the phone with making you laugh? I know it ain’t Shikamaru his sense of humor died a long time ago,” Tenten asked.
“Hey don’t sneak up on me like that. And I’m talking to Neji I’m sure he would love to talk to you,” Temari handed Tenten the phone and walked out of the room.
“Hey,” Neji spoke Neverouly.
“Hey, what have you been up to? You know When your ass is back here it’s going to be a whole lot worst for you. Even worse than when Kiba left and didn’t tell anyone,” she scolded.
“I know that my ass is going to be grass when I come back home. Besides that what have I been up to is raising my daughter,” Neji giggled at Tenten’s gasp over the phone.
“You had another baby how old is she?” she questioned.
“She is ten she is going to be eleven this upcoming May. I found out I was pregnant a few months after I left. I didn’t turn back though, because I didn’t want my other kids hurt.”
“Wow, so she’s Shika’s huh, I just know she’s a handful. I can’t wait to meet her though she should look forward to having friends around her age when she comes.”
“She is she’s has a hard time with school. But she gets through it even though it even though she is suspended right now. Now that I think about it though the suspension probably doesn’t matter anymore cause she’s going to be transferring to the school back home.”
“What do you mean she should be looking forward to having friends her age you telling me that everyone else including you had kids ten years ago making us all pregnant around the same time.”
“Yes, Neji, Naruto, and Sasuke had a girl her name is Himiwari. Gaara and Lee had a daughter also her name is Amora. Kiba and Kankuro had a daughter her name is Nezuki. And Hinata and Sakura had another girl her name is Athena. Deidara and Itachi had an son named Tama. Karin and Suigetsu had a daughter named Saki and she looks just like Karin it’s so funny to me honestly.”
“Wow, I expected that from Naruto and Sasuke honestly, Sasuke can’t keep his hands off Naruto for anything.”
Neji was lost for words he knew they moved on with their lives. But damn kids he was expecting other news like maybe a new house or a car, but not kids.
“Yeah, anyways when are you coming home? I haven’t seen you in years and I want to see you. You don’t know how hard it is just being me and Lee all the time. Don’t get me wrong I love my older brother it’s just sometimes he’s too much you know?” she vented.
“I’m coming home in a week or two have to pack all of our stuff and get someone to look over my pole dancing studio after that we will be right home.” Neji sighed.
“Ok, that’s good do you want to keep it as a surprise or do you want me to tell them that you're coming home?”
“Nope I want to keep it a surprise also I’m a little scared as to what my parents and siblings might say so I want to keep it on the low for right now,” Neji replied.
As Neji was on the phone Shikamaru had walked in the room and stood behind Neji wrapping his arms around him.
“Who are you on the phone with?,” Shikamaru questioned. Whispering to not interrupt the call.
“Tenten,” Neji commented as he went back to the phone call.
As the night progressed Neji ended the phone call with Tenten and lay in bed by his sleeping husband and just looked at him as he slept. It felt so surreal to him to be lying near this man again. He missed his husband so much alongside his kids.
He wonders what type of people Sora, Tobs, and Shikadai have grown up to be. He hoped they didn’t suffer too much without him. He hoped he would be able to regain their trust again. And to some way be a part of their lives again. He knew it would take time, so he was just going to take it day by day until he gained their trust and was able to coexist with them.
But that was stuff another day to worry about. So Neji cuddled up with Shikamaru and rested until the morning came.
