Chapter 3
~~ Previously~~
My brothers and I left Shortly after not wanting to deal with the others any longer than we have to.
Well tomorrow is the test and I have a feeling Kaneki is going to give us hell.
~~Present~~
~~Naruto's POV~~
Waking up early the next morning, well I say that, yet we usually wake up early. Waking up earlier than normal, there we go. That sounds better, King, Toshiro and myself go down to have breakfast. Not surprising at all, Kaneki is already up and cooking a large breakfast for everyone in the house, and surprisingly Kakashi sensei himself as well. He must have stayed over last night to avoid Kushina, do not blame him at all.
Making our way towards the table and taking our seats because if we even step into the kitchen it will be a game of who will get hit with a knife first (learnt that the hard way, it's not fun). Kakashi sensei hasn't even acknowledged that we are here, he is just sitting on the couch closest to the kitchen reading his porn book, that I have the very sudden urge to burn. By the look Toshiro is giving me, he has the exact same idea so with that thought we bring King up to speed and start forming a plan for the test without either of our sensei's knowing.
The meet up time for our team was 7am, and it is currently 5.40 am. The three of us having finished breakfast decided to start getting ready and plan more about how things are going to go during this test, because knowing Kaneki he already has the whole thing planned in his head, but if we can disrupt that, we will be able to walk away not as badly injured.
Making our way up the stairs we head to Toshiro's room first as it will be easier to plan there than anywhere else in the house.
"Ok so we know not to go for Kaneki first if we have any value for our lives, can't say the same for the others though. We also know that this is a team built test, so we have to act as a team, which we know for a fact the other four in our squad won't do no matter what.
So that leaves the three of us, but we already know what moves work well together with our different styles.
Naruto for this test or at least the beginning of it, you should turn into your fox form and aim for Kakashi sensei, as Kaneki already knows your fox form but Kakashi doesn't, so we can use that to our advantage." Toshiro said, already thinking of what they should do.
"I agree with Toshiro on this one, if we aim for Kakashi first and get him out it will just be the redhead and Kaneki.
Naruto, before the test even starts, creates a shadow clone and keeps it close to us, while you go into the forest and go into your fox form and wait for the test to start. Once the test has started Kakashi is most likely going to stay in the centre while the others go into the forest after the rest of the team. Go to Kakashi as though you're a curious fox looking for food or something, if that gains his attention and you can get close to him, get his book at all cost." King continued with the plane already knowing what was going to happen.
"Ok so after I grab the book I'll make a run for it into the forest and head to that lake that's a bit further in and out of sight. Getting him there should be pretty easy considering how much he loves those porn books." Naruto said, sweat dropping at the thought of those books.
"Ok that's good, so all of us will meet there and once you get him there sit near the lake and get him as close as possible. King, once Kakashi gets right in front of Naruto, use your pillow to create a barrier and I'll activate the Genjutsu that will trap Kakashi in another world and Naruto and I will take care of him. While we are doing that, King grabs the bells and tries to locate Kushina and we will go for her next." Toshiro said finishing the plan for Kakashi.
The entire thing seems like it will be easy but we all know it won't be, especially with Toshiro and I taking care of Kakashi in the Genjutsu. It's not going to be easy, especially with that eye of his.
Though one thing Toshiro and I have is teamwork and if we do it just right we will be able to win or at least knock him out long enough to make a run for it.
With that in mind both Toshiro and I grabbed our Katanas and a bunch of kuni and explosive tags just to be on the safe side.
King agreeing with the plan was grabbing his weapons as well along with other supplies he and the others would need throughout this test.
"Ok so when we get to Kushina we need to be careful about her adamantine chain otherwise we will be in trouble, so Naruto she will be yours to deal with because of the Kyuubi and the fact you have Uzumaki blood you have a lot of chakra. So she will be all yours to do with whatever you want, just, please don't send her to the hospital." Toshiro said, looking at his youngest brother, setting the only condition for that battle.
Pouting to his brother at the condition set, he understood what would happen if he were to send her to the hospital. So nodding in agreement not to send her to the hospital, though his brother said nothing about drawing a little bit of blood.
My brothers gave me a concerned look so I must have been making a creepy face, I snapped back to focus on making a plan to take down our older brother, which all three of us ground at. We know it's not going to be easy and we couldn't think of a plan that would work because he knows us too well. The only thing we can think of right now, is that we're going to have to wing it. Which will most likely lead to a scolding from him but oh well. We want to keep our lives.
With the plan set in place, and a fear of our lives, we looked at the time and decided to get there early to set things up. Our brother gave us curious looks as we walked past but we just smiled and made our way to training ground 7.
~~Author POV~~
Getting to training ground 7 the trio took off into the woods surrounding the field and made their way to the little lake deeper in, setting up the plan and traps as a precaution and backup if needed. With everything set up Naruto made a shadow clone of himself and turned into his fox form. watching as the clone left with his brothers, all Naruto had to do know was sit and wait for the signal. 'This is going to be boring' Naruto thought to himself while getting comfy in a spot closer to the meet up place for the team.
~~With King and Toshiro~~
After leaving Naruto by the little lake, the two boys plus one clone made their way to the meeting point.
Arriving at the clearing they see Sasuke, Menma and Mito. Sakura has yet to arrive along with the sensei's, though Kaneki and Kakashi are understandable as Kakashi is always late, so he's most likely distracting Kaneki.
Kushina is a surprise though, they didn't expect her to be late, Sasuke was getting annoyed and the same thing for Menma, Mito was just staring at Sasuke with hearts in her eyes.
Toshiro and King were talking to themselves about how they think Naruto will go against Kushina, they have a bet going, King is betting that Naruto will throw the "Don't put Kushina in the hospital" rule out the window and do it anyway. Toshiro disagrees with that statement but also won't be surprised if it happens.
Both boys notice the time after placing their bets, and know that their brother will be yelling at Kakashi by this point and wait for him to appear. Out of nowhere they hear a yell and see a splotch of red fast approaching, both glance at each other and know it's Kushina and possibly Sakura following close behind, screeching Sasuke's name as she goes.
Just before the two girls arrive Kaneki appears with a disgruntled Kakashi and instantly they all know he did something. Kaneki is smiling sweetly and it freaks all the Genin out, which isn't surprising as it is quite creepy especially with Kakashi looking as white as a sheet he is.
With everyone finally here, we can now begin.
~~The sensei's~~
Arriving when they did was interesting, seeing the annoyed expressions of some of the Genin among others. The sensei's notice that King, Toshiro and Naruto don't take much notice of them being there, and While Kaneki and Kakashi know that is a completely normal response from the three boy's, Kushina does not. Stomping over to the boys she goes to yell at them for not saying anything when the three of them arrive, Kaneki does something before she does.
"Ok everyone, so sorry we are late. Kakashi and I got caught up doing some last minute preparations for the test today, though Kushina I don't know what your excuse is for being late. Before you say you were looking for Kakashi, I told you yesterday that he would be with me so you didn't have to worry about getting him for the test." Kaneki says, adding in something to embarrass Kushina.
He knows it works when all three of his brothers are silently laughing, trying to not laugh out loud. Thou either Naruto isn't trying or he just doesn't care as he does just that. The look on Kushina's face saying she is mortified at both what has been said, and one of her own blood laughing at her in that way.
She takes a glance at her other children and sees a mix of anger and confusion at what has just been said, the anger directed towards Kaneki and confusion aimed at her.
"Ok so seeing as it is now 8 in the morning lets get these instructions underway shall we. So this test has a deeper meaning but you need to figure out that for yourselves." Kaneki states with a smile, as though the meaning of this test was obvious.
Well to his three brothers it was and he knew that.
"All you guys have to do is get the bells from us, each of us has two bells, and you need to get them off of us." Kushina says with a sweet smile.
Sakura and Mito raise their hands "But sensei there are only six bells and seven of us. What does that mean?" Sakura asks in that dumb voice, Mito nodding along to what she was saying.
"Well that means only six of you will pass and one of you will be sent back to the academy." Kakashi said as though it was obvious.
"But sensei how is that fair!!?" Mito and Menma shouted, worried they might be sent back.
"Well that just means you need to get the bells, that's all that it means" Kaneki said ignoring the two.
"Now because it's 8.30, I'm going to set this timer to go off at 10.30, so you have two hours to get the six bells." Kushina said with a soft smile directed at the twins.
"Oh also, come at us with the intent to kill." Kakashi said with a hint of glee in his eyes.
"But sensei what if we actually kill you!!??" Sakura shouted, scared of hurting her sensei's.
"Oh please Sakura, they are trained Jonin, and Kaneki and Kakashi are both trained ANBU, you don't need to worry about killing them. Though it should be the other way around" Toshiro said with a little smirk at the end. Effectively freaking out Menma, Mito and Sakura making the three of them take in a big gulp.
"Haha, though Toshiro is right Sakura Both Kaneki and myself are very well trained ANBU you won't actually kill us. Just come at us with that intent." Kakashi said with a laugh, attempting to make it look like he is laughing off the statement in general, when in fact he is laughing at the reactions.
"alright, let the test begin." Kaneki said with a wicked grin.
And with that everyone left the clearing, all except Kakashi who just pulled out his porn book and began reading.
Allowing the three boys to set their plan in motion, as fate one of it fell into place and began.
It was up to Naruto now.
~~With Naruto~~
Noticing that there was only one chakra signature left in the clearing, he knew that the test had begun.
He decided to wait a few minutes so it wouldn't be suspicious, and then wonder out and start the plan (along with having some fun). To really make this work he went smaller than his normal form to make it look like he was only a couple months old kit, and he will make it look like he has been separated from his family.
'Ok time to start,' Naruto thought to himself as he got up and started taking cautious steps to the clearing.
He notices as he gets closer to Kakashi's chakra spikes, obviously trying to get a read of what's coming his way. Though he won't find anything apart from the normal amount of chakra found in a baby animal.
~ Let's backtrack a little bit,
So because of the relationship I have with Kurama aka the Kyuubi, it comes with its advantages. Out of all my family only Ban and Laxus know that he has been giving me extra training in my mind scape, because of this I have a lot of chakra control.
We have been working on a few things but the main thing in this situation is giving my chakra to Kurama so that when I go into a different form like an animal or another person I can match their signature. With practicing this technique, it has come in handy especially in this scenario.

First paw into the clearing he took it slow and stayed close to the ground making it look like he was very nervous and scared. Taking a quick glance at Kakashi without the older man knowing, he sees Kakashi visibly relaxed but is quite curious as to what the little fox is doing.
~~Kakashi's POV~~
Sensing a signature coming out from the forest but not knowing who or what it was. I kept a close eye on the direction I could sense the signature coming in, I turned my eyes back to my book while glancing in the direction of the signature.
I must have really gotten into the part of the book I was on because when I looked up again, I saw a little orange fox wandering into the clearing.
'It looks very young' I thought, realizing how young the fox actually looks. I looked around to see if it was being followed at all but after a few minutes of looking back and forth towards the baby fox and the direction it came from and seeing nothing, I knew it was alone.
Looking back at the fox in question I saw it sniffing around and realized it's probably a bit too young to be away from its mother for too long, so it must have gotten separated somehow.
Seeing the little one sniffling around I slowly approached and pulled out a little snack I always have on me 'At least I remembered to put it back in' I thought remembering I almost didn't.
Approaching the little one slowly, I must have made a little bit of noise catching its attention. I watched as the fox froze where it stood and swivelled around to look and stand facing me, it started to shake every so slightly and crouch lower to the ground, about to make a dash for it.
I pulled out the little snack bar I had and crouched down, deciding to go all the way I sat on the ground with my legs crossed. I just sat there staring at the little fox who was now looking at me with a lot of curiosity. 'At least it's not fear anymore' I thought, smiling a little.
The little fox wasn't crouching anymore, more like sitting up but still hunched over staring at me, looking to see if I would do anything.
When I don't move for a while the little fox sits up and tilts Its head to the side. 'That's cute, but not as cute as my dolphin' I thought with a little smirk.
Luckily for me the little fox didn't see that or I would have lost whatever trust it had, heaving a sigh I look at the little thing again and notice it is now staring at the food bar I had in my hand still.
Trying to get it to come closer is going to be a task considering this may be the first time the little thing has seen a human before. Realizing this I stayed completely still, while it watched me. When the kit started moving, watching the food in my hand, I slightly moved my arm with the food out away from my body, so the little one didn't have to come too close to get it. Surprisingly for some reason slightly moving the food away from me got the little guy to relax more
Watching with cautious eyes the little fox came closer and snatched the food from my outstretched hand. watching it eat a little before I went back to reading my book, waiting for one of the genin to come out of the surrounding forest to try and get the bell's.
~~Naruto's POV~~
Getting the food from Kakashi was just a bonus not part of my actual intention, though it was good and nice for energy. Though with that done and Kakashi's attention back on his book, time to get the plane actually started. My brothers would have set everything up by this point, so I can start my part of the plan finally.
With my time for fun fast approaching, I take in how relaxed Kakashi actually is. He is still in the position on the ground from when he gave me food, though now his legs are outstretched, ankles crossed over each other. What I'm taking in is that it will be harder for him to get up quickly, which works perfectly in my favour.
Looking around again to see if I can see anything that will grab Kakashi’s attention long enough so that I can grab that god awful porn book. It took a few minutes but I eventually spotted a stick, swallowing my dignity, I approached the stick and picked it up in my mouth. Acting like the still shy animal that I currently am, slowly approaching Kakashi yet again I wait to see if he will notice me.
Pinpointing an animal chakra is a lot more difficult than one might think, because animals have very little chakra they blend in with nature. Everything has at least some chakra at its core, in people its built up chakra, passed down through family. The stronger the parents, the stronger the child will be, but a lot of it from there is training in chakra and slowly building it up yourself over time.
Thats why its so hard to pinpoint an animal in nature, with all the natural chakra through the ground and trees. Depending on how long the trees have been around can also affect the chakra, see chakra also builds up over time, it's slow but consistent. With that knowledge every tree if Konoha varys in age, with that the chakra levels make it difficult to pinpoint anything with less chakra than the trees. That being pretty much all animals in the forest, not including the forest of death. Through the trees can make for a challenge, that's for sure, if you're not trained in chakra sensing enough and you go into the forest of death, well, you're screwed plain and simple.
Back to my main focus, I wanted to see if Kakashi would be able to notice me in the fox form. Seeing as he is a professionally trained ANBU black ops, I would hope he would be able to at least tell im coming. As I slowly approach Kakashi with the stick, step after step I watch for a reaction. When I got maybe two or three small steps away from Kakashi, his eyes finally flickered in my direction. He moved the book slightly to the side to get a better look at me, I tilted my head and moved my tail slightly.
Kakashi put his book down and sat up slightly, “you want to play now do you?”
Making my tail wag again, I drop the stick in front of him and wait for him to put the book down.
“Alright I'll throw the stick for you, though I hope you know I’m in the middle of a test with students. So don't blame me if they rush in here and startle you.”
He finally put the book down and made a grab for the stick, while he did that I bolted for the book. As soon as Kakashi had realized what had happened I was already nearing the tree line again. Once Kakashi had gotten up and was able to chase after him, Naruto was already running through the forest towards the meet up point.
As I ran through the forest with Kakashi hot on my tail (quite literally), thinking it was time to give myself a boost. I got Kurma to transfer me back some of my chakra and I instantly pumped it to my legs, with the extra boost of chakra i scarcely managed to get away from the threat of Kakashi’s hands. Hearing a quiet ‘damn it’ behind me, I snickered to myself, more so the closer I got to my brothers.
Bursting into the clearing, my brothers hidden and trap ready to be sprung as I feel the seal’s washing over my fox form, I take perch onto one of the rocks facing the direction I just came from. Seeing Kakashi come closer and closer, I wait for him to hit the trap. This specific seal I haven’t seen in action before, I learned this seal from one of the books in the Uzumaki clan section of the built in library Minato and Kushina built in Konoha’s hidden section on clans. It was hard to find let alone get into as it’s all very secure, but once I proved my clan statice with a bit of blood, it wasn’t that hard from there.
Coming back to the present I watched in almost slow motion, as soon as Kakashi took a few steps into the clearing the trap was sprung.
What happened next was a glorious display, see the trap works in a way to drain and distribute. It is designed to drain the chakra from the person the trap was placed for or really whoever walks into the trap, it then distributes the chakra into the surrounding environment. With us being in the forest, it won't take the nature chakra long to convert Kakashi’s chakra. With it being done like this, the only way Kakashi will be able to get his chakra back is by normal means. Letting his chakra reserves fill back up over time, the trap is designed to take enough chakra to make sure the person can’t use anymore because they can feel how little chakra they have left. Though it doesn’t take enough to make the person lose consciousness or worse, watching Kakashi step through that seal and seeing his chakra drain into the ground with no hope of calling it back.
It was deeply satisfying.
The look of confusion on his face as he's still trying to grasp what had happened, was almost laugh worthy. You can’t see the seals that were placed for this as we put them in the ground so, one: they would go undetected, and two: we didn’t want them to be seen, so burying them where we had placed them was perfect.
Meeting his eyes, I can tell the exact moment everything caught up in his head. At that moment I dropped the book and turned back to my human form, seeing the shock on his face was worth letting out a little laugh.
“Didn’t realize it was me did you. Though that is the point of taking any other form really, though my guess is you're wondering how I was able to conceal my chakra and only show enough to actually feel like an anime, am I right?” looking dead at Kakashi with a smile that can’t be described as anything but sadistic.
“Well that is something that I will never share with you, or anyone but my family.”
Growing up with any of my brothers you get a sadistic streak, it's just a matter of controlling it. Right now though, it's fun seeing the look on Kakashi’s face. With Kakashi’s attention solely on me, he misses my two brothers walking into the clearing. As we are making direct contact I pick up the book that I stole from him, which somehow made its way onto the ground. After picking up the book, I give it a once over, and again make direct contact with the power Kurama let me borrow. I burn it.
“That was greatly satisfying. Seeing you walk the streets with this porn book has been really getting on my nerves. You used to be an ANBU black ops before you were either demoted/transferred to teach, or you stepped down. Whichever it is, I find it highly disgusting that you read this kind of stuff around children.”
My brothers were finally making their way to me as I finished my little bit of fun. With them finally moving Kakashi realized that they were there, the look of recognition on his face was all we needed. I released the seal as soon as my brothers gave their signal, let the fun begin.
“By now you should have realized what that seal you got trapped in does, though if you don't let me tell you real quick. It drains your chakra plain and simple, though it also transfers it into the Nature chakra around us so you can't get it back. What that means for you is your very low at the moment, so low in fact, that it's only just enough for you to function. We know you can fight fairly well with Taijutsu, but you can't put chakra into it without passing out. So here’s what's going to happen, you can either hand the bells over with no issue, or we can take them off you with force. Pick one.”
Seeing that he has very little option, he still got up into a Taijutsu stance. My brothers and I just laughed, watching him as he swayed in his stance. “Why have you done it like this”, it's a pretty dumb question but I can understand why he asked. Kind of, anyway.
“Well it to ensure we get the bells, after all this test is all about teamwork, that's what is being tested. I mean along with you three testing our drive to get the bells that is, so technically speaking there are two goals to this test. How we see this test is a bit different from how two of the three of you sensei’s see this test, we see it as an opportunity. That opportunity being to prove ourselves, getting a bit of revenge along the way is just a bonus.” Toshiro, ever the serious type, let out a smile that had us once again laughing at Kakashi’s face.
Thinking we’ve had enough fun torturing the man, it was time we continued with our goal. Get the bells from Kakashi, if he is going to put up a fight, then a fight he will receive.
As both Toshiro and I move forward King steps back not wanting to get involved in this part of the test, we can understand that, King doesn’t really have much against Kakashi. Toshiro and I on the other hand do, so King is letting us have our fun with this fight.
And fun we shall have.............
