The Inprisonment
“But I didn't do anything! This is crazy, I'm being framed!” Naruto yelled, offended that his own friends didn't even think twice about his innocence. “Somebody wants me put away for—”
Lady Tsunade angrily stood up from her chair, knocking it over. “That's enough Naruto!”
Narutos face dropped. They seriously weren't going to send him away to that prison were they? “Shadow clone jutsu!”
“Wood style, wall pillar prison!” Yamato yelled.
Before any shadow clones could appear to help him, wood emerged from the ground, wrapping around his neck, waist and arms. His knees hit the floor hard as he struggled against his new bindings.
A small, box-like prison now surrounded him. Narutos eyes darted around. How could his own friends do this to him? His comrades?
Tsunade approached, placing a sealing paper on the prison, ensuring he wouldn't break out before ripping his ninja headband off his forehead.
Naruto continued to struggle. “Its a mistake!”
“Take him away.” Tsunade declared, earning 4 guards running in before picking up the cage.
“It wasn't me! I didn't do anything!” Naruto angrily pleaded, only to find none of them listening as the guards hauled him out of the room.
**
The journey to the prison itself definitely wasn't a fun experience, nor was the whole betraying part.
Narutos joints started to cramp up from being in place so long as they continued on. Plus, he always hated not being able to move, it was like cutting off his freedom.
Naruto found himself being jolted awake from a deep sleep. He was surprised when he realized he had been out cold for so long.
His eyes scanned the area. They were approaching a large body of water. He felt his whole body cringe as he watched the ferocious waves cash against the shore.
“Boats over there, tied to the dock.” A man stated, earning a nod from the others.
Naruto grunted a bit as he tried to reposition himself the best he could through his bindings, although he found no luck.
The boat wasn't very large, just big enough to carry him along with the other four he was with.
Naruto let a few curses slip through as they harshly hoisted him onto the boat.
They weren't really going to cross the water in a boat like this, were they?
As much as he dreaded it, one of the men pushed off the dock with his foot, sending them deeper into the turning waves of the sea.
Not too far in, Naruto started to feel seasick. He even contemplated trying to get them to undo the sealing so he could vomit over the side of the boat. Although, he knew they wouldn't risk him escaping.
As they drew near, Naruto sharpened his eyes at the towering prison. It was massive. How many people were kept there?
The guards hurriedly rushed him off the boat, carrying him as they did before they got on the boat.
Naruto looked around, noticing quite a few others being rushed out of boats. Although, none had been bound in anything as extreme as him. They just had simple
handcuffs.
Naruto huffed at the sight.
The guards pushed open the doors as they reached the top of the steps. Inside waiting, was a whole row of new guards, this time wearing a green uniform with a metal helmet.
“Attention!” One of the guards yelled, seeming the be the one in charge of the others, maybe a captain. “New arrivals, listen up and remain silent.”
Naruto looked around. The place seemed to be very heavily guarded, meaning he would have to carefully plan his escape.
“Lord Mui, the master of Hōzuki castle, will now adress you.” The captain said stepping back, revealing a tall man with dark and long black hair the emerge from behind.
“Let me explain your situation.” He calmly exhaled. “Whatever you may have been in your formal lives, the fact that you were sent here means that you are no longer of any value to anyone.”
He observed the line of prisoners, until he locked eyes with Naruto. “You have lost the trust of your people and are considered a threat to the peace and stability of your—”
Narutos eyes quickly angered. “I was framed! This is a joke, I didn't do anything! You've got the wrong guy, Lord whatever your name is!”
The captain angrily stepped forward, pointing a finger in Narutos direction. “Silence you—”
Lord Mui interrupted his yell as he placed an arm across his chest, pushing him back. “Youre the innocent victim of some sort of conspiracy, is that it?”
Naruto nodded quickly. “Exactly! While we're wasting time here, the real guilty guy is still out there about to do who knows what!”
“We of the hidden grass have an agreement with the other villages.” Lord Mui stated, raising a hand to signal the guards in placing down the small prison he was held in.
“By we guarantee even those sent here will never be allowed to escape.” He added before ripping of the seal, causing the prison to vanish.
“Your personal circumstances are none of our concern.”
Naruto quickly sprang up, a smile forming on his face knowing he was finally out of the box.
Lord Mui held a jutsu. “Fire style, celestial prison.” Before Naruto could react, he shot out his right hand, blasting him into the large gates behind him before met with the ground.
A large unison gasp escaped from the other prisoners as they continued to watch, hoping they wouldn't be next as the guards smiled.
Lord Mui stood straighter. “That imprisonment jutsu is unique to my clan.”
Naruto slowly lifted himself upward with his forearms as he glared at the guards snickering.
“It's the reason the hidden grass chose us as overseers of Hōzuki Castle.”
Naruto got up on one knee with a grunt, only to fall backward in a sitting position. He quickly pulled up his jacket to observe an injury he may have gotten from the jutsu, only to find a glowing red rope-like seal across his entire torso.
“As long as you wear this jutsu formula, you will not be able to infuse your chakra.” Lord Mui stated as the other prisoners looked at him dumbfounded.
“There are only two ways you can leave this place. The first is by official request from the village that sent you here. The second and by far the most common, is by dieing.”
Naruto stood up with a small chuckle. “Hate to disappoint you, but I’ve got a third way!” Naruto held up his hand sign. “Multi-shadow clone jutsu!”
The clone appeared next to him, immediately starting to infuse chakra into his right hand. “Rasenga—”
Naruto blinked his eyes, fighting arriving blurriness that swept over his vision before he collapsed, as his Rasengan quickly faded.
The guards chucked as the prisoners once again gasped.
What happened?….It feels like my entire body is on fire. Naruto thought to himself.
His shadow clone fell to his knees before he familiar sound of it being released filled the air.
“I must admit, I'm impressed that you could summon forth even that much chakra under the celestial prison to create a shadow clone, let alone almost complete a Rasengan.” Lord Mui walked until he feet stood right in front of Narutos head. “Still…dont think of escaping.”
Naruto quietly groaned in pain as he attempted to look up at the man he despised most in that moment. “Go a certain distance from me and the celestial prison will fully activate and burn you to a cinder.”
Lord Mui smiled as he looked down at the boy in pain. “One more thing, you may have heard that the fire-style celestial prison is ineffective underwater. That is true, but the surrounding sea is deep and the currents are treacherous.”
Naruto yelled out in pain as his stomach sudden started emitting excruciating pulses through his entire body as the celestial prison now glowed bright red in response to his chakra use.
“You would drown long before you could infuse your chakra.”
Naruto rolled over onto his back, clutching is burning stomach in an attempt to rid the pain. Horrified faces of the other inmates flustered the area as they watched him yell out in agony.
Before it could subside, Lord Mui raised a hand, signaling for the guards. “So theres really no use in trying to escape. Although, you seem like the hot-headed and disobeying type.”
The guards each grabbed one of his arms before hoisting him to his feet. Unable to stand up on his own, Naruto collapsed back into the ground, his legs feeling weak.
He felt pathetic. He couldn't even stand up on his own two feet.
The guards once again harshly lifted him up before placing a pair of handcuffs across his wrists in font of him. Naruto looked around through his blurry vision, noticing a younger guy—about his age, starting at him intently.
“Lets go.” A guard demanded, pulling Naruto in hopes of cooperation of being able to walk.
Naruto pulled his arm away as the weakness subsided. “I can walk by myself you know.”
The other guard hesitated at first, but complied with an angry look. Naruto returned the favor before walking forward along with the rest of the prisoners.
He struggled a bit in his restraints as they continued on, now walking through a large section of pillars leading towards another large doorway.
The captain raised his hand in thought. “As Lord Mui explained, you're never getting out of this place alive—” He turned around to face Naruto, earning a scowl from the blonde.
“So you might as well get used to being here.” He smirked as he opened the large doors, revealing wooden prison cells, only lit by casual lanterns here and there. “Once you accept it, you'll find its not that bad at all.” The captain sarcastically finished.
The men in their cells quickly rushed to take a look at the new arrivals, flashing grins as they observed.
“These are some of our old-timers. I'm sure they'll make you feel right at home.”
The men in the cells smirked in amusement.
“Fresh meat!”
“Thats a good one.”
“Hey blondie, I'll see you in the yard later!”
Naruto glared at the man who made to comment feeling a bit uncomfortable.
“Hmm, spikey hair.”
“What newbies.”
“See you later!”
“What the hell.”
Numerous laughs and chuckles erupted from the cells, leaving Naruto rightfully annoyed.
The captain watched the new prisons pass by him as they walked further with a smile. “First you'll have to under go a physical exam.”
“That means all of you!” He stopped Naruto with a point of his finger, slightly startling him as he stepped back. “And I'm talking about a really thorough physical exam.” He leaned in closer before swiping the side of Naruto's face, making him jolt back. “So I hope you're not bashful, blondie.”
Laugher flooded the room making Naruto even more uncomfortable than he already was.
How was he going to endure this?
