Corruption Afoot
Kakashi coughed, "Wannabe Danzo?"
Kyoko smirked, "Yeah, we figured out what that man was doing. It was not hard to be honest, adults are rarely careful around children."
Bull snorted as he left the group to re - group with Bear and Cat. When they had first accepted this mission they were expecting to protect Kakashi's new team. They were not expecting a bunch of baby Genin to be so calm and plan things out logically. More importantly, they were not expecting a second coming of Kakashi in his female student. No wonder, he was very protective of them, they were a power house team in the making healing abilities or not.
They had all watched Kakashi as he grew up as part of the ANBU, especially after his father had passed away. If they did not know better they would have thought Kakashi had somehow spawned a child. But Bear was not sure if she would be a shoe - in for ANBU especially after going through some of the answers in her theory. She was loyal to the village and would protect Konoha because it was her home. But some of her answers were subtle jabs and questions at the Hokage.
As ANBU they followed every order of the Hokage without any questions. Bear had a very terrifying feeling that Kyoko as an ANBU would eliminate the Hokage herself, if she thought the Hokage was the one dangerous to the village. Some of her answers was balanced on a fine line of treason, but her reasoning made it hard to refute. Cat could admit having second thoughts about some of the things the Hokage had done that he had not thought twice about.
Cat tsked as the morning sun peaked in the horizon, "Are we really thinking about her answers in a theory class?"
Bull, "Apparently."
Bear, "Let's just focus on the mission. They are on the move."
Bull, "Cat go with Uchiha, Bear stick to Uzumaki, I will trail Naiko."
Kyoko paused and looked back at the ANBU, "How good are you at sneaking?"
Bull, "Good enough."
Kyoko grinned, "Follow, don't get left behind."
Kyoko went to where her clone had dispersed, 'Here we are, I have not used my Mist flames in such a long time. Let's use them today.'
Bull swore up and down there was something strange with his charge but chose to observe her quietly. Kyoko called him over and explained there was a jutsu she had been working on. She explained it was a cloaking jutsu and used her Mist flames to cover the ANBU. To say, Bull was very interested now was a big understatement, that felt like chakra but more raw and powerful. His own chakra reacted to it and welcomed it like it was part of him, how very peculiar.
Kyoko smirked, "Unfortunately only Naruto seems to have talent for it, aside from yours truly."
Bull was disappointed but did not let it show only nodded his head. Kyoko became alert and pointed at the ship where a few guards were roaming around. She motioned for him to follow and they sneaked into the boat easily without being noticed. Bull had seen a lot of things in his life this was one of the more impressive things. The baby Genin they had this generation were all serious and impressive.
Kyoko, "There, the kidnapped victims. But taking them out may not be easy."
Bull, "I can knock the guards out, make it seem like they fell asleep."
Kyoko nodded, "Mn, that would work... Is this the kitchen?"
Bull, "How luxurious!"
Kyoko searched through her scrolls, "Ah ha! I will have to thank Anko - Sensei after returning home."
Bull stopped her, "Wait, let me knock out, the two inside, first. I know your jutsu is somehow hiding us but if you plan on adding anything to the food, it will be better to make sure it is dissolved."
Kyoko, "Thanks."
Bull moved to knock out the Chef and the assistant placing them by the table, making it look like they passed out. Kyoko took out a bag containing different bottles of powders and liquids. She chose the one labelled as sedative and started to mix it in with the fancy looking chicken and the wine. Once this was done they left and they could hear the Cook cursing for falling asleep.
Kyoko walked to the basement where she found ten women and seven children aside from Sasuke and Naruto's shadow clones. They nodded at her and dispersed making the women and children look at them. They were being held inside cages like animals and that ticked Kyoko off in many levels. She was all of a sudden reminded of what Mukuro had gone through at the hands of the Estraneo familigia. Bull eyed her sharply on seeing her reaction wondering what they had missed.
Kyoko, "Everyone listen. I will let you out but you will have to keep your heads down."
A teen boy nodded, "We know, your friend's clones explained the situation to us."
Kyoko smirked, "Did they explain you are taking over this ship?"
The women were shocked at that and Kyoko started to explain her plan. Bull was not amused however, this had not been part of the plan but didn't refute her yet. Once Kyoko explained how the fools upstairs were eating food laced with sedatives they would move to take over. But first she would have to check their health to make sure they are able. Kyoko winced on realizing some of the children and women were sexually assaulted.
Bull placed a hand on her shoulder, "Focus little calf, you can take your anger out on the perpetrator soon."
Kyoko took a deep breath and nodded, "Yes, yes, you are correct. Lady listen, see those three kids? They were used as well, can you help me put medicine on them?"
The lady with brown hair nodded sadly, "Of course, and I am not surprised. They did capture us to use us."
Kyoko pursed her lips, "Not for long. Next person come quick. My clones are making sure the food and wine is being served to everyone. But we have a time limit of thirty minutes only."
Bull kept an eye out by the entrance and took care of any guard that came that way. He was sure little Naiko won't care if the guards were dead or not, considering her reaction earlier. On the other side, Naruto declared their Sensei was healthy enough to walk around but forbade him from battling. It had made the two ANBU titter in amusement, they never thought they would see the day Kakashi listen to a medic. But then again said medic was his student after all, so perhaps not that strange.
Cat, 'Nope, still hilarious.'
Sasuke, "Today, I'll go to watch over Tazuna's group at the bridge. You get some rest."
Naruto gave a thumbs up, "Sure I will. I was planning on helping Tsunami - san prepare the boar you guys caught anyway."
Cat, 'Guess it's babysitting duty today.'
Cat looked over at the bridge that was being built with the help of the leaf clones. It had still impressed the ANBU that this clone technique was created by a civilian child, who was not even shinobi. All because she wanted to help her adopted younger brother pass the exam. They all remembered that incident where Naiko was ready to kill the man who was insulting young Uzumaki. Even if there were no papers to show the adoption it had spread throughout the village.
Inu had been in charge of keeping the kittens safe that day and he was radiating jealousy and happiness. It had given them all a whiplash to be around the young ANBU captain that day. But they also understood why, the adults had been forbidden from interacting with the young Uzumaki. That however was not the case for the kids, especially a short tempered, no nonsense child with a punch rivaling Lady Tsunade. Cat became alert when mist laden with chakra started to roll in.
Sasuke, "So, they are making a move today."
Kakashi, "Looks like it."
Sasuke glared, "Sit down Sensei. Don't you dare move a muscle."
Kakashi raised his hands, "Maa, Maa, I know my limits."
Zabuza, "Being pushed around by your students now, Hatake? You have grown soft."
Sasuke, "You are blind."
Zabuza twitched and before he could answer swung his sword which was hit by another sword. Cat came face to face with Zabuza who glared at the ANBU mask annoyed by the newcomer. Zabuza was actually hoping to battle with Kakashi again, much to his young apprentice's chagrin. The fake hunter nin was watching it all from his perch above a branch.
Sasuke turned to Tazuna, "How much longer does the bridge need?"
Tazuna, "Well, all the building is complete, we just need to wait for it to set and stabilize."
Sasuke nodded, "Good, I'm battling him over there. Stay close to Sensei."
Tazuna and the rest of the construction group stood close to Kakashi surrounded by the clones. Sasuke then intercepted the senbon the hunter nin threw at Zabuza and Cat's direction. The two of them got involved in a fight where the hunter nin turned out to be part of the Yukimura clan. Sasuke gave an exasperated sigh, of course the cousin family of the Uzumaki clan would be the partner of a missing nin.
Sasuke called, "Hey, out of curiosity, how much are you getting paid? Is the amount worth fighting a suicide fight with ANBU?"
The hunter nin paused, "We are getting paid a high amount. As for the second question, I'm not sure."
Sasuke, "You know Gato is a corrupted businessman right?"
The hunter nin snorted, "Who doesn't know that?"
Sasuke, "There is a higher chance he won't pay you."
The hunter nin attacked Sasuke, "I'll take my chances."
Bear hummed as she watched over the young Uzumaki while he rested. The clones he created were doing a patrol around the area and helping prepare what they called burger steak. Naruto woke up feeling very annoyed and glaring at the wall. Bear over heard him grumbling about annoying thugs that he was going to pummel to death, resuscitate, then stab to death again. Bear had to hold back a laugh, the cubs acted just like Kakashi if you forcefully woke him up. The death threats were pretty much similar too.
Naruto went out taking some of his seals, "Okay let's \yawn/ deal with these clowns for real."
Bear, "What seals are those?"
Naruto, "This is paralysis smoke and this one is suspension. It'll knock them out and let us capture them."
Bear hummed, "Is it possible for ANBU to pre order these seals?"
Naruto, "Huh? Oh sure, as long as they brush up their knowledge on the seals I can provide them. I'll send a catalogue explaining the seals I am using in this mission later."
Bear, "This is very intricate and detailed."
Naruto grinned, "Neechan had me practicing my calligraphy till I stopped making ink splotches."
Bear, "She did a good job at it too. We would definitely buy this."
Naruto threw the paralysis seal first directing it using chakra at the forest. This was followed up by the suspension seal that kept their enemies in suspended animation. Bear gave an impressed whistle when the thugs started to fall like flies from the trees out cold only to be held by another seal. This was being watched by Inari and the others who had volunteered to butcher and cook the meat for the settlement.
Naruto, "That should be all of them."
Bear, "It is, I don't sense anyone else around here."
Naruto, "I don't think I'll be able to go back to sleep after this. Hey Tsunami - san, I'm leaving a few clones to guard you all. No matter what happens do not come to the bridge."
Tsunami, "What are you planning shinobi - san?"
Naruto, "Isn't it obvious? We are going to kill Gato. You focus on feeding your people."
Tsunami nodded while Naruto and Bear left for the bridge, Inari was looking at his back with twinkling eyes. Bear noticed it and snorted, the young Uzumaki had a fan it seems. The two raced to the bridge to find Cat fighting Zabuza while Sasuke was punching through a block of ice? Where did that come from? Kakashi waved at them and gave them a run down of what was going on.
Naruto, "Why do I feel like this just became an S - rank mission?"
Kyoko appeared at that moment, "That's because it is. Bull - san, if you will please get rid of this annoying mist?"
Bull used a powerful 'Kai', and the mist cleared showing Gato and his gang of thugs standing at the end of the bridge. Tazuna's breath hitched on seeing the man who killed his son in laws, twice at that. Words would never be able to describe the hate he harbored against the bloody businessman. The hunter nin and Sasuke stopped fighting and separated, their fight was going nowhere. They both eyed the businessman warily, Kakashi sighed, he was hoping to avoid an international incident too.
