Kyoko Reborn as Shinobi!

A month after their first meeting, Hinata and Naruto were still hanging out and training with Kyoko and the others. Kyoko was happy they joined her group, Hinata was down right adorable while Naruto was bright as sunshine in the morning. Naomi had taken Hinata under her wing as a fellow freaky eyed girl, her words and helped her get over her stuttering. It was a slow process, but they were getting there. Naruto though pulled Torune and Shino into his pranks and the three of them were a riot together. Kyoko though was a little miffed to learn she could not get the hoodies in the village, they were from the Land of Snow.

Kyoko clapped getting their attention, "Okay boys and girls. I think it is high time we had a sleepover."

Naruto, "What is that Kyoko - chan?"

Naomi, "It is a group activity that friends do, Naruto - kun."

Torune nodded, "Sleepovers are fun."

Naruto, "Then, I want a sleepover."

Hinata, "I.. I will have to ask my fa... father if I can come. I... I think he might let me? He was very pleased I made connections with you all."

Shino, "This weekend or next weekend, Kyoko - chan?"

Kyoko, "Let's do it next weekend. I think you were invited by the Hokage to have dinner with him this weekend Naruto."

Naruto nodded, "Yeah, Konohamaru - chan is very sweet. Natsume - Obachan and Takeru - Ojiichan are really caring too."

Naomi, "You are really close to them, aren't you?"

Naruto grinned, "Yeah, Jiji, adopted me before I started the Academy. Apparently someone was stopping Jiji from doing so. Now though, that person is gone and other orphans are getting adopted too."

Kyoko's pencil snapped, "A kidnapper, Naruto, that person was no doubt a kidnapper."

Torune, "Do you think it was them who tried to..."

Kyoko, "Once is a accident, me stopping your kidnapping."

Hinata gasped, "You were almost kidnapped too?"

Naomi was alarmed, "What do you mean too?"

Kyoko pointed at Hinata, "Twice is a coincidence."

Shino, "You were almost kidnapped as well?"

Kyoko pointed at Naruto, "Three time is a fucking pattern, no one has the right to stop anyone from adopting children. Unless they planned on kidnapping said child."

Naomi looked at them, "Nobody goes anywhere alone from now on. Okay?"

Naruto, "It's not that bad right?"

Kyoko, "But it is Naruto - kun, it is bad. I wonder if that is why there was an increase in the Konoha Police patrolling the village."

Naomi, "Most possibly, yes."

Kyoko sighed, "Let's finish up our training for today and go for barbeque. I know this one quiet joint where we can eat peacefully."

They finished their training which was trying to stick a lot of leaves to their bodies. Naruto had to do it in reverse as his chakra kept destroying the leaves. Kyoko had told him to try with thirty leaves then decrease it slowly to one. After a lot of training, Naruto had managed to hold twenty leaves without destroying them with his chakra. The little sunshine had beamed the whole week after successfully holding twenty leaves compared to the thirty in the beginning.

During the weekend he had gone to the Sarutobi clan compound for the monthly clan dinner they held. Asuma - Ojiichan was the only person missing which made Naruto miss him but he understood he had an important mission. He had been chosen by the Daimyo to become one of the twelve Guardians, a very prestigious position. Naruto noticed Jiji was looking at Asuma's seat with a hint of sadness, although there was pride in his eyes as well.

Hiruzen, "Naruto - kun, come here, why don't you tell us about your day?"

Naruto beamed going to seat on his lap, "I was training with my friends Jiji. Kyoko - chan taught us to do the leaf exercise better. I can hold twenty leaves using only chakra now, ttebayo."

The other elders around them looked impressed and Naruto chatted telling them about his new pranks with the help of the twins. Then he told them about what Kyoko - chan had suspected and Hiruzen hummed in contemplation. The children were smart enough to realize there was danger nearby at least. Konohamaru - chan soon enough demanded Naruto - chan's attention and Hiruzen let them play together till they were both tuckered out.

Natsume, "I'll put Konohamaru - chan to bed, father."

Hiruzen stood up holding Naruto, "Of course Natsume - chan."

Naruto woke up halfway, "Ah Jiji, I should go home."

Hiruzen, "You have a room here too, Naruto - kun. Stay the night, don't worry, you are safe here."

Naruto nuzzled closer, "Okay Jiji, good night. Oh yeah, I am going to Kyoko - chan's place for a sleepover next weekend."

Hiruzen opened the room that was kept for Naruto and tucked him in, "That sounds fun Naruto. Now, sleep well, little one."

Naruto slept with a big smile on his face and Hiruzen walked out nodding at Inu who stood vigilant outside. The rest of the week was spent with Naruto going to the Academy, training or spending time with his friends and alternating between sleeping at the Sarutobi clan compound and his apartment. He noticed his neighboring apartment was getting cleaned and maintained for a few days now but didn't pay much attention to it.

Kyoko, "Ready for the sleepover. Remember what I said to bring."

Hinata smiled, "A... A set of outerwear, i.. inners, toothbrush and night wears."

Naruto held a bag up, "We are ready."

Naomi, "Next month, we will have a sleepover at my place."

Shino, "Next month after that."

Torune, "At ours."

Hinata, "D... Do you take turns holding sleepovers?"

Naruto, "Ooh! Ooh! Come to mine the month after Shino and Torune's, it will be fun."

Hinata turned pink, "Me too! I.. I mean, I... I invite you all to my home a month after Naruto's. F.. For a sleepover."

Kyoko fist pumped to the air, "Awesome, we have a plan for the next four months. Huzzah!"

They went to the Naiko home and were greeted by Tachiba who had returned from a B - rank mission and now Yume had gone on another mission. Since Kyoko's room was small for six of them they decided to camp out in the sitting room. They made space by pushing the chairs away for futons after dinner which consisted of pizzas that Naruto and Hinata fell in love with instantly. Kyoko was smug, no child can resist pizza. For dessert, she took out her famous butterscotch ice cream which was another favourite.

Hinata, "Where did you get this?"

Shino, "She did not buy it, Hinata - chan."

Torune, "She made it herself."

Hinata's eyes widened while Kyoko smiled at her happy she loved it. Hinata flushed and shyly asked for the recipe which Kyoko shared, both the egg and eggless ones. Naomi grumbled about how she has tried many times but could never seem to get the same taste as Kyoko's. Naruto though was very excited and asked if he could share it with his family. Kyoko agreed to teach them the next day how to make it instead of just giving the recipe.

The sleepover and the following day after was fun for them, that is till a summons arrived with news about Kyoko's mother. She was at the hospital. Kyoko and her father rushed to the hospital followed by the rest and waited outside the room Yume was in. The Doctor calmed them down saying Yume was alive but may not be able to walk normally again. She had been caught in the radius of a powerful jutsu that shattered her leg from below the hip. She was lucky she was alive.

Kyoko, "We will take care of mom. And even if she can't walk so what. There are other ways for shinobi to work. You'll see."

Tachiba, "You are right Kyoko - chan, your mom is alive. That's more important."

Naruto however noticed Kyoko - chan's hands were fisted tightly. Hinata was worried about her friend as well and moved to stay close to her next to Naomi. Naomi smiled at her as she unfurled the tight fists and quietly comforted Kyoko - chan. Kyoko - chan smiled at them gratefully getting tentative smiles from them all. Kyoko's mind was far away however, she just barely awakened her sun flames. It was not strong enough to heal anyone and by the time she did, she won't be able to help her mom.

Kyoko slapped her cheeks, "Okay enough, no time to get depressed."

Tachiba, "Ah Koko - chan?"

Kyoko, "We need to be strong for mom. I will cry from happiness when she gets better."

Naomi, "And we will help you."

Shino, Torune, Hinata and Naruto nodded and the rest of the week they attended class and visited Kyoko's mom in the hospital. Some of the nurses gave them the side eye but a glare from Naomi and Kyoko made them look away. The two girls frowned at how they were eyeing Naruto and stayed close to their sunshine. Naruto was their group's sunshine and no one was hurting him under their watch.

While they visited Yume who was always happy to see her daughter and her friends. Naruto was telling them about the two Uchihas who moved in next door to him. They were Uchiha Subaru and Uchiha Makoto, they were twins and really nice to him. Naomi blinked, she had heard of some of the Uchihas moving out of the clan compound into their own apartments. But she and her direct family would be staying at the clan compound as it belonged to them and there are still so many Uchihas at the compound.

Kyoko, "I am glad to hear they are mingling around again. The rumours that were spread about them were just nasty. Thankfully they figured out the truth."

Yume, "And how did you know about that?"

Kyoko huffed, "It was very obvious. You would have to be blind and stupid to not notice."

Naruto nodded, "Yeah, people can be so mean."

Hinata fiddled her fingers, "S.. Sometimes even family does so too."

Naomi touched Hinata's shoulder with hers, "Well, we have each other now."

Shino, "When are you getting discharged though Yume - san?"

Torune, "We will help."

Yume grinned, "Soon kiddos, next week according to the Doctor."

Kyoko, "Hey mama, I decided to become a Healer."

Yume, "Koko -chan?"

Kyoko, "I noticed there were only two medic - nin in the hospital, which is ridiculous. I expected at least three medics but no. There's only a Chunin and a Genin."

Naruto blinked, "Ah!"

Naomi, "How come I didn't notice that?"

Hinata, "Me too, I didn't notice."

Torune frowned, "That is strange."

Shino, "Yeah."

Kyoko, "Right?"

Naruto, "Hey! Hey, I have an idea dattebayo!"

Hinata, "Wha... What idea, Naruto - kun?"

Naruto grinned, "Why don't we all become medics?"

Yume giggled, "A group of badass medics, Naru - chan?"

Naruto nodded vigorously, "Yes, yes, dattebayo. If there aren't many medics, we should learn to become one ourselves. Then, then, we can help Yume - san out or others who get hurt like Yume - san. Right?"

Naomi smiled, "You are right Naruto - kun."

Shino, "Learning Iryo - jutsu is not easy though."

Torune, "We will have to step up with our chakra control training."

Shino, "Iryo - nin have a high level of chakra control."

Torune, "Except for Kyoko - chan and Hinata -chan, the rest of us have poor chakra control."

Hinata flushed, "I.... I.... Um... I try my best."

Naomi grumbled, "Don't remind me."

Naomi remembered about their chakra control exercise, while Naruto had to do things in reverse they had to do it the old fashioned way. Only Hinata - chan and Kyoko - chan had managed their chakra control to the point they had twenty leaves sticking to them. Torune, Shino and Naomi were still struggling to increase to more than fifteen leaves. Naruto was struggling to keep his chakra from burning less than sixteen leaves.

Naruto, "I am sure we can do it, dattebayo."

Kyoko had a glint in her eyes, "We should push up our training schedule. Let's master the leaf sticking exercise by the end of this semester then move on to tree walking."

Yume, "Koko - chan, wait, you can't just learn tree walking on your own. You need supervision, actually I really hope you have not been practicing chakra control on your own."

Kyoko, "Don't worry mama, Iruka - sensei has been supervising us. He watches over us train while he does his paperwork."

Naomi nodded, "Yes, Iruka - sensei is really nice and very kind to us."

Torune smirked, "I think you mean."

Shino, "Naruto has him wrapped around his finger."

Hinata, Naomi and Hinata giggled when Naruto flushed red at being called Iruka - sensei's favourite person. It was not a secret Naruto - kun adored and loved the man and thought of him as his own father. Of course, neither of them said it out loud to the other but always seeked each other out like a duck and their duckling. Kyoko found it adorable and encouraged Naruto to make little gifts for Iruka, from snacks to hand made bracelets. To her, it was like watching Reborn and Tsunayoshi but a much shier version, well she is not the one to give up. Unknown to her, a certain ANBU was watching Naruto adore the Chunin teacher with a mix of envy and adoration.
