Chapter four

''Team idiot..''

Asuna was startled out of her reading trance when she heard a loud bang from somewhere close by. Someone was doing some housework it seemed which eased her senses but she finally looked at the time and saw she was a little late for the meeting with the sensei.

Slapping a hand to her cheek, she picked up her books and placed them away, before picking up her bento and jumping down from the rooftop, right in front of the classroom window, where she saw only her team, yet no sensei.

Sliding the window open, she slipped inside and made her way over to a lonely desk, placing herself down in the chair, before turning to face her teammates.

It seemed that Sasuke was more angry than usual by the look on his face, which Sakura looked something between angry and guilty, Asuna could only wonder why that was. Naruto looked plain irritated as he pushed a chair over to the door and got on it, reaching out with his hand to place an eraser on top of the door frame, which surely wouldn't work out for them.

''Did you scare the sensei off or something, where is he?''Asuna asked and Naruto snickered, while Sakura puffed her cheeks out.

''He or she isn't here. They are late.''Sakura said and Asuna nodded her head, her hand reaching for her book, but her movements were stopped when Naruto finally managed to steadily put the eraser up, his grin in victory matching that of Asuna.

''Naruto what are you doing?''Sakura asked and for a second Asuna was reminded of a mom figure, till she turned to talk with Naruto again.

''This is what he gets for being late,'' Naruto said and stood back a bit, his eyes focused on the door with anticipation.

''Our sensei is an elite jounin baka, he wouldn't fall for a silly trick like that,'' Sasuke said, his eyes the only thing facing the others.

''Well then.''Asuna started but the sound of the door moving startled her and all four pairs of eyes locked onto the door, waiting.

Kakashi Hatake was not looking forward to meeting his new team, his first team. He knew he had the nine tails on that team, the last Uchiha as well, and two girls that were average in the records.

His mouth opened as he slid the door open, his team standing in front of him, but his lips shut when he felt the eraser fall on top of his head, dust from the chalk coming all over him and some more so.

Naruto laughed first, his body rolling on the floor in a heap of laughter, his hands holding his stomach as Sakura started apologizing to their sensei, while Sasuke closed his eyes, a sigh leaving his lips as he did so.

Asuna smirked and fist-bumped the air, she got Kakashi Hatake as her sensei, and she was very happy with that. First Naruto was on her team and now her favorite ninja was going to teach her the ninja way. She read into every possible sensei she might get and Kakashi was the one she wanted to be her sensei the most.

''How can I say this?.... My first impression of you guys is that you are all a bunch of idiots.''Kakashi said and before she could reach herself, Asuna banged a hand on the desk, a little crack forming.

''Hn,'' Sasuke said under his breath, as he got up, placing his hands in his pockets, Naruto following him.

''Come on, let's go to the roof,'' Kakashi said and left in a blink of an eye, which made Asuna squeal on the inside, he was so cool!

The roof was empty when they finally made their way up there, Kakashi appearing when the group finally took their seats at the steps. It was Sakura, Naruto, Asuna, and then Sasuke. Sakura couldn't help but sight when Sasuke took the spot next to Asuna on his own. She was feeling down about this thing that Asuna and Sasuke had between them, whatever it was.

Kakashi had kneed on the railing, a book in his hand, Asuna couldn't tell what the book was, but she knew what it might be from all the rumors she heard about her idol. She looked over to Sasuke, but he seemed to care less about their sensei, he was probably disappointed about the fact that he did get hit by that eraser.

''OK, how about you all introduce yourselves, one at a time,'' Kakashi said, not much of an interest in this, but he sounded tired so Asuna didn't get offended. But that got Asuna thinking, what could she say about herself? Those thoughts were interrupted when Sakura and Naruto bombarded Kakashi with their questions.

''Introduce ourselves?''Sakura asked her sensei, unsure about the whole idea of this introduction, what were they supposed to say, it's not like they have done this before.''What would you like us to say?''She asked and saw Naruto nodding along with her from the corner of her eye.

''Yeah!'' He voiced, while Asuna and Sasuke remained silent.

''Well how about your names, your likes and dislikes, hobbies, and dreams for the future,'' Kakashi said and closed his book, he found this part interesting, he wanted to know things about his students, even if they might not pass the dreaded test tomorrow.

''Why don't you go first sensei, so we know what to do,'' Sakura said and Naruto nodded his head, agreeing with her on this one.

''Me?'' The jounin asked, pointing a finger at himself and sighted when all four looked at him with expectation.''Well, my name is Hatake Kakashi, things I like and hate? I don't feel like telling you those.''He said and Asuna sweatdropped.''I have a lot of hobbies, as for my future dreams, I haven't thought about that.''He said and she hung her head down.

''But...you only told us your name!''Naruto protested he looked frustrated and mad, his hands crossing over his chest.

''OK, now it's your turn. You with the pink hair, you start first.''Kakashi said and focused his attention on Sakura, he wanted to know more, as there weren't that many things in her file.

''My name is Haruno Sakura. The things..the person I like is...''A giggle came to her lips as she glanced at Sasuke, who didn't seem to be very interested in her at the moment.''My hobbies are...''She again looked at Sasuke and giggled, her pale cheeks turning to a soft pink.''My dreams for the future are..''This time she squealed and Asuna couldn't help but roll her eyes.

''And what do you hate?''Kakashi asked and Sakura got up, pointing her finger at Naruto.

''Naruto!!!'' She said and the blondie fell backward, stunned.

Asuna growled under her breath, going to get up and physically hurt Sakura but Sasuke's hand found its way to her shoulder and pushed her down harshly.

''OK, blondie go!''Kakashi said, sensing there was going to be a fight, he mentally thanked Sasuke for interfering with it.

''I'm Naruto Uzumaki. I like instant ramen in a cup, and I like the ramen Iruka Sensei got me at the Ichiraku Noodle Shop, but I hate the three minutes you have to wait after you pour the water into the ramen cup. My hobby is eating different kinds of ramen and comparing them, and my future dream is to be the greatest Hokage! Then the whole village will stop disrespecting me and start treating me like I'm somebody. Somebody important!''Naruto said with such passion and determination even Kakashi was a little impressed. Asuna almost got teary eyes but kept her composure.

''OK, redhead!''Kakashi said and turned to Asuna, who looked down in deep thought.

''My name is Seto Asuna, I like books and creating jutsu, even if they don't work most of the time. I hate when people compare me to others, I am my person and I hate when people disrespect others because they are different. My hobby is training and learning new things. My future dreams, I want to become the best kunoichi in the village and help Naruto become Hokage!''She said, though it felt that she was leaving something out to Kakashi, he didn't comment on it, but his thoughts drifted to Kai Seto for a moment, the way her eyes twinkled up at him.

''And the last one,'' Kakashi said, looking over to Sasuke.

''"My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things, and I don't particularly like anything.''He said in a dark voice, his eyes glancing at Asuna for a split second, but Kakashi managed to catch it''. What I have is not a dream, because I will make it a reality. I'm going to restore my clan, and kill a certain man."

Asuna wiggled a little in Naruto's pale form, she had to admit, Sasuke sounded very dark right there but she could only say one thing.

''You do like tomatoes Sasuke, don't deny it!''She said and he looked at her like she had grown another head for a second, remaining poker-faced after that, how she knew that who knows. Maybe she read his Wiki page or something, you never know.

Kakashi sighed and thought about his students. One had a borderline obsession with his other student, the other was in love with ramen, one was plain darkness and one was...he wasn't sure what Asuna was. He wanted to think she wasn't like her parents, but the way she said her introduction reminded him so much of her parents it was a little worrisome.

He was a little worried about all of them.

''OK, all of you have unique personalities, I like that,'' Kakashi said and opened his book again, his attention more focused on it now, which made Asuna and Sasuke a little irritated.

''Meet me at the training grounds tomorrow morning at five. We have our first mission then.''He said and Asuna tilted her head to the side, her long hair brushing against Sasuke's arm, his nose filling up with the smell of oranges.

''What kind of mission?''She asked her curiosity at a ten.

''A task the five of us will be doing together, a survival test,'' Kakashi said and looked up at his students. They all seemed to be looking at him with curiosity.

''But sensei, we did plenty of that back in the academy!''Sakura protested, but what came out next, that being Kakashi laughing under his breath, hand in front of his mouth. If Asuna was older and thought about boys, she would find it very sexy, but right now, she thought that it was a little creepy.

''I'm going to tell you something now, even though you are not going to like it at all. Out of all the 27 graduates, there will be only 9 that are going to be promoted to genin.''He said and Asuna's eyes widened, her eyes turning a shade darker. So this was the catch, she knew something was going to ruin this. When you think about it, there were too many teams as it was, plus not all of the sensei as signed were jounin, she noted that a few ex anbu were called out to play sensei. That was probably because of the many teams compared to the fewer senseis available.

Plus, with what the whole of a ninja was, not everyone was going to set out to do it properly, not everyone was going to be able to kill for survival. Like Sakura, Asuna knew that poor soul was not going to be able to take a life to save herself. Naruto was too good for this world, he wouldn't be able to kill anyone to get to his end goal. She knew Sasuke was ready to take a life, that was his life goal after all. And Asuna knew she could do it if it came down to it. Her sensei had done it many times before so that wasn't very much of a thought.

''But that's just crazy!''Naruto protested, of course, he did, this was Naruto after all.''We worked hard to get here! What was the point of the exam in the academy then!?"Naruto asked and Kakashi tapped his chin.

''That exam was to see how many of you qualify to even take the test to pass further on.''He said and jumped down, stretching his arms up.''Come on now, get some rest and prepare for tomorrow.''Kakashi said and started walking away, leaving the team to steer after him in surrender.''Oh and don't eat breakfast! You might puke.''He said and Asuna sweatdropped, getting up, and turning to ask Naruto if he wanted to go get some ramen with her, but he had already left after Sakura, who was walking after Sasuke.

Asuna shook her head and picked her bag off the ground, swinging it over her shoulder.

''Well, time to train I guess.''She mumbled to herself and walked down the steps, thinking about her soon-to-come questions for Kakashi, he might know something about her parents. He was close to their age and he might know something she didn't.

''Asuna-chan!'' She nearly jumped out of her skin, her book flying in the air from her startlement.

Managing to catch it with it barely reaching the ground, she turned to the person calling her, only to see Lee making his way to her. He seemed to be in high spirits and she couldn't help but smile at her taijutsu training buddy.

''Up for some training Lee?''She asked and his head nodded so fast, that she regretted asking in the first place, of course, he would be up for training, he was always training.

''Of course my youthful maiden!''He shouted and ran beside her, as she giggled and followed his lead to the training grounds.
