Mori Ougai sat in a velvet maroon armchair, waiting for their old friend Kouyou to show up while Elise Ougai, his nine year old daughter, lay belly-down on a plush lounging couch. A red crayon was gripped firmly in her hand as she continued drawing gruesome scenes in red crayon. The dark oak door slid smoothly open as Kouyou glided across the polished wood grain and into another armchair from across Mori's desk.
"So, I hear you're the boss now?"
"Ah yes my dear Kouyou, I find that I'm now your superior, and now that that manic is dead," (Both of them giggled in a unbecoming way of mafia member at that.)"I can let you give tribute to Inari in the Port's Blessed temple."

These blessed people had the ability to see through the mist and also spot yokai, and were bestowed a fragment of their powers that would manifest using either soul essance from you or your god. Tributes left in temples would please the spirits around you and help strengthen your gods connection to the physical world. Of course, that leads to some stray Yokõ popping out to follow you or some mmalicious spirit fighting you, but that was not too common. When ypu defeatedl a Yokai, they usually return to the spirit world, but if they are fully seperated from the spiritual plane they can die permanently, only leaving behind red dust in the shape kanji for voids ( )
