This is everything I never wanted.
It was the perfect day, the sun was out and the clouds were plenty.
Shisui love days like these. This type of weather is so perfect for him to train and he just knows the perfect spot.
There is lightness on his steps on his way to the place. It is near the Uchiha compound so its not a long travel. He expect many things upon going there, but a person already in there is not. More so when the said person is exerting movement that shinobi’s only do.
He finds the place is occupied by a stranger, someone who shouldn't be there. The person—close to his age has a red hair long enough to reach his shoulder and eyes that is equally striking as his hair—of cerulean color. He stares at the person in wonderment, but there is something thing that made him pause—its his movement.
The red-head kid has an effortless grace to their movements, and the confidence that comes with experience. Shisui can sense something about this person, something that draws him towards him, like a moth to a flame. As he steps forward to take a better look (soundlessly mind you) the red-haired kid immediately stop and suddenly a kunai was flying toward his face.
With practise ease, his hand clutches the handle of the sharp weapon and pause. That immediate response to danger, that throw—Shisui stamped his excitement and refrain himself from rushing toward the boy
“Awesome”, Shisui murmured.
“You’re the one who catch the Kunai, you are the one who is awesome, “the red-haired kid blandly retorted, “Sorry about that by the way.”
Shisui grin, looking on the stranger’s face he was not sorry at all—he move with the intention to blind him.
“I haven’t seen you in the village before!”
The red-head took seconds to respond, “Well you shouldn’t have.”
The kid’s voice were bland and disinterested, he look like he doesn’t want to interact with him but Shisui is all but determined—he was not deterred at all, he need to know this kid!
“I’m Uchiha Shisui by the way! Nice too meet you!”
The kid—he doesn’t want to call him ‘kid ‘all the time—squint at him, as if to assess if he’s worthy to know his name at all, “ Kari.”
“Kari..?”
The kid-Kari snorted, “Just Kari”
Shisui pouted. “I said my last name to you and you didn’t? Oh man..you’re so stingy Kari-chan.”
Kari pursed his lips at the blatant use of nickname and familiarity, “it’s not my fault that you told me you name, Uchiha-san.”
Shisui gasped dramatically, “Call me Shisui.”
“I understand Uchiha-san.”
Shisui groaned in despair before straightened himself, “ne, I saw you practiced just now—why don’t we do it often, together I mean.” He lean closer, invading his personal space, “let’s be training buddies! Isn’t it great, Karin-chan?”
Karin blinked at him, “sure”, Shisui paused—he didn’t expect him to agree at all, “wait really? You agree?”
“Actually I have a change of heart—“
Without warning Shisui gave him a quick hug before raising his hands on the air, “yes! Let’s meet yeah; I’ll be waiting for you!”
“Sure, whatever.” Karin turns to him and waved, “I’ll see you then, Uchiha-san.”
He should have known not to trust a bastard.
Cale lived a long and satisfying life. He led a war and won it—despite the bumps that he encountered by doing so. But the fact remains the he won it.
However, mortal life always come to an end and Cale’s due eventually come—its not a tear-jerking event as many would have think. Cale breath his last breath with a smile on his face and surrounded by the faces of his companion.
So Cale can confidently say that he lived a fulfilling life and died in peace.
Then there is this problem.
The problem that he can’t seem to stay dead.
Cale scowled a twist on his calm feature.
He decide to commit Deicide right here right then.
Being reincarnated he can forgive (god knows how many times that happen already—get yeeted in worlds I mean)
But in the world where war happens in every other day and soldiers are thrown like pebbles to fight for the lands that destroy itself like?? Really??
Cale want to scream and claw out the face of that bastard that send him here—with an impressive amount of self-control he all but sigh.
This is his world now there’s nothing he can do about it.
This always happened to him—it’s almost a trend.
“Oh, hello Kari-chan.”
Cale—or rather Kari’s smile. That too, the change of his name. Uzumaki Kari—an orphan born after the 2nd shinobi world war that is what Cale has been reborn to.
At least he still retain his red hair—the one of his feature that remind him of his past life. His fiddled his slightly longer ruby-colored hair with longing.
And his eyes are the same color—appearance wise nothing have change too much.
There are things that he missed on his past world—and one of this is the voices on his head, his Anceint powers ,that though despite not saying it out loud make him a bit sorrowful
Okay maybe not a bit—he missed having chattering voices on his head. A thought that is quite concerning to others if they heard them
If there is a good thing that happened to him being yeeted here is the fact that he got yeeted to a powerful body. A blessing. He was almost in tears.
After a bit of research he found that the Uzumaki clan are a clan with large charkra reserve, and in this world this is the equation;
Large chakra x control = powerful
So it is right to say that maybe Cale would really enjoy this world minus the wars that is.
“You're back again I see, are you here to read the History and chakra section again?”
Cale smiled disarmingly at her, “Yep. Can't get enough of this place”
The woman—as he comes to know as Rika-san frown at him, “You spend so much time here, don't you think it's time you did something productive with your life?”
Cale shook his head making his tresses shake, “Look, I like coming here, okay. It's relaxing, and it helps me escape from my hectic life.”
Hectic life ei, asshole kids and an ever asshole adults.
Rika-san smiled at him warmly, “if you’re so sure, go along to your agenda now.”
Cale nodded at her and he go straight to the shelf where it is located.
His been hauled in the library for the past weeks, learning and absorbing information about this whole world—he is using his ability, record, but not too much as there is no one to tend to him if he would fall ill. This kind of thing was not a problem of his in his previous worlds as he always have someone to wipe the sweat on his forehead—but it’s different here, here he is completely and wholly alone.
The matron of his new living space is a very strict women borderline abusive and it is oddly reminiscent to the time Kim Rok Soo is living in the orphanage. Her attitude gave motivation to manner less kids that Cale desperately wants to avoid. Even as kids—these bastard is bothersome to deal with.
Cale’s face remains impassive as he flipped through the pages. It seems like the world have infinity of supply with producing asshole like them—or maybe the orphanage just do. Orphanage just sucks like that.
No matter, Cale don’t care as long as he got to live in safety and comfortably on this world then this would be nothing. He needs to get out first though not only that he need to get stronger as well. He learned a few martial arts on his 1st life to compensate as a team leader—a feat that he can’t to do due to having a weak body as Cale Henituse.
Speaking of which, Uchiha Shisui will be expecting him—he did not planned to agree to train with him but he know its beneficial to know someone from a clan. A clan as prestigious as Uchiha Clan, so Cale will not waste an opportunity like this.
Not to mention—a company not trying to sabotage nor drag him down will be good for him.
He debated going now or ditching the Uchiha.
He sigh and buried his face between the pages of the book. ‘I guess I will just come since I promised already, aigoo.’
He can already hear Raon scolding him for not doing a promise.
With a heavy heart Cale begrudgingly return his book and bid his farewell to Riko-san and set off toward the forest near the Uchiha compound. As expected, the raven haired Uchiha was already there, crouching on the dirt. He announces his presence and he jump up greeting him;
“You're actually here? I can't believe it!”
“Why wouldn't I be? I already said I’ll be here.”
Although I debated to ditch you off.
“I thought you would have ditch me!” he was way to chirpy to be saying that, Cale rolled his eyes.
“I wouldn’t break my word that easily, anyway what are you waiting for let get started.”
