Chapter 2
He had thought that his mind was playing tricks on him when he couldn't see a pink head poking out of the crowd
But now he was sure when he searched the sea of crowd for a pink hair and couldn't find it that Sakura didn't attend he's wedding
As he surveyed the crowd once more to make sure, he's jet black eyes spotted Ino who was smirking from ear to ear mischievously,
He thought groaning inwardly ‘ What are you up to Ino?! ’
His eyes locked with hers, it seemed she knew what he was thinking since not long after having a stare down she tilted her head to the side prompting him to follow her
He knitted his brows together, his hands clenching at his sides, his teeth grinding against each other but nonetheless he still followed her, having no other options at the moment

He had been following Ino from the depths of the shadows but he knew that she was well aware that he was following her by the side eyes she was giving him and the sly smirk on her face
He's brows furrowed once again when he found himself in the Nara Forest but in the distance he could see a wedding ceremony going on
‘ What the heck?! ’ he thought gritting his teeth ‘Just what the heck are you planning Ino?! ’
As he got nearer his breathe got caught in his throat, because just before his very eyes was Sakura in a wedding dress, her face beautifully done, her emerald green eyes seemed to glow under the darkness of the forest
He was finally able to make out what the place looked like now that he was closer to the place
The place was surrounded by paper lanterns giving the place an ethereal glow especially the bride who was standing at the altar waiting for him, occupying the tables was his teammates and friends that he now considered as family but he couldn't dwell on that thought for too long as standing in the altar was the bride patiently waiting for him
He didn't even realize that he unconsciously went out of the shadows until Ino's hands patted his shoulders bringing him back to reality
“ W-whats this about Ino? ” he stammered out
“ We had a feeling that you would say no, so we prepared a little bit early to do this for you.” she said with a bright grin, her Sapphire blue eyes twinkling with happiness for him and for his soon-to-be-wife
“ But what if she says no? ” he asked, his doubts taking over him
“ Don't worry, you'll find out soon.” she said patting his back, trying to soothe him, which did little to relieve him of his anxiety and doubts
“ Just go and find out Shika.” she encouraged and ‘ accidentally ’ pushed him towards the pinkette
“ Oops, my hand slipped.” she said, her other hand covering her smirking mouth, her eyes shining with mirth which he returned with a death glare
He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, taking the rest of the steps towards the pinkette
“ Hey.” he said, his whole body suddenly feeling hot
If him walking towards her didn't catch her attention, what he said surely did as she turned around to fully face him
He found himself unable to breathe as she looked so perfect in front of him that only he could see was her and only her in the forest surrounded by the trees and their friends
Still under the powerful thrall of beauty of the pinkette he said dazedly “ You're so beautiful.”
“ Thank you.” Sakura said, tucking a lock of her hair behind her ear, her cheeks growing bright red by his compliment
She was woken up by a loud banging on her door at 5am and she begrudgingly opened the door and was surprised to see Ino on the other side of the door with the biggest shit eating grin she had ever seen on her life on Ino's face and her face turned pale as that meant her best friend had a good or bad idea in mind and she really doesn't want to be a part of it and get in trouble along with her dumb but sometimes serious friend when the situation calls for it.

She had already thought of not going to the wedding and Ino already new about it and along with the rest of Konoha 11 with the exception of Shikamaru.
Along the years she had been working with Shikamaru she found her self slowly falling for him, so when she heard that Shikamaru was going to marry Temari from one of the nurses that was slacking off and gossiping instead of doing their duty was probably the worst day she ever had, since not long after doing her shift, she immediately went home and cried while eating a tub full of ice cream in front of the tv watching her favorite romance movie
And she of course like any normal person would do called her best friend which was Ino cause she really can't afford to tell Naruto because of his loud mouth and told Ino her situation and like any good friend, Ino bought her her favorite ice cream and helped her finish it while watching cheesy romance movies in Sakura's apartment

And at that moment she suddenly regretted that she told Ino her problems, when Ino made her do a quick but thorough bath
“ Be quick forehead! We still have much more things to do! ” Ino shouted outside of her bathroom door
“ On it pig! ” she rotorted, annoyance seeping through her
‘ Geez, what's her problem.’ she thought through gritted teeth
She wrapped the white towel on her wet form and went out only to be met with a white wedding dress almost causing her to get off balanced
“ What the heck pig! ” she shouted her voice booming in the room, causing Ino to wince as her words echoed in the apartment
“ Just wear it forehead also no questions and buts and don't worry I'll help you get in it.” Ino simply said, her eyes intently focused on planning the wedding that she was setting up in the Nara forest
She merely groaned her hands coming up to rub her forehead
“ What are you planning pig? ” she said after drying herself completely
“ You're wedding.” Ino mumbled being careful that Sakura doesn't hear
“ What? Can you repeat that? ”
“ Nothing forehead! Let me help you get in the dress.” Ino said immediately changing the topic
“ Whatever pig.” she scoffed by the change of topic
After that she found Ino applying make up at her face
“ What are you doing? ” she asked blinking owlishly up at Ino
“ I already told you no questions forehead, now let me focus.”

And now here she was in front of Shikamaru about to get married to him, Ino serving as the priest, since it was a private wedding and only them knew
“ Do you Haruno Sakura take Nara Shikamaru Clan Heir of the Nara clan to be your husband?” the priest finally asked aka Yamanaka Ino
As the priest (Yamanaka Ino) finally ask the question to Sakura
He was already feeling nervous, before they even started the ceremony but now he feels anxious, his palms sweating profusely, beads of sweat rolling off from his forehead
“ Yes.” came Sakura's answer, causing his heart to beat much more erratically, he couldn't believe it! Sakura said yes! This was the best day ever for him!
The priest (Yamanaka Ino)didn't even get to ask him as he immediately took Sakura's veil off and slanted his mouth over her's
Sounds of clapping and shouting could be heard in the background, Ino's shrieking caught his attention the most making him pull away from the blushing pinkette
“ Sorry.” he mumbled at Sakura, his hand rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly, his own face slowly turning red
“ I-its okay.” she muttered stuttering
“ So you like me? ” he asked
She merely chuckled “ I don't like you Shika.” she said making him furrow her brows in confusion, as if sensing his turmoil she added “I love you Shika.”
He breathed a sigh of relief before smiling at her “ I love you too Sakura.” he said before scooping her up in his arms and sunshining away
“ Shika! ” she screamed at him before it was smothered by his unrelenting lips
