Cafe Hangout
Kokona POV:
The next day, I walked with Saki in the morning on the way to school. We headed inside to get to our lockers, and after that we just had a conversation during morning break until it was time for class.
“Ayano Aishi from room 2-1 seems quite nice Kokona.” Saki said, “I wonder if she’ll be able to meet up after school at the cafe.”
“I’m sure she might!” I responded, “Since we’ve become friends with her, I especially look forward to us 3 hanging out together.” The both of us were excited this was gonna happen, until we heard laughing coming from behind us.
“Wow, you’re friends with that girl….?” Someone asked from behind.
“Huh….?” We turned around, and it was Musume Ronshaku… She was standing with her arms crossed, smirking. With that blonde hair in a messy ponytail, tan skin, blue eyes, glossy salmon lips, and her light blue jacket tied around her waist. She and 4 of her friends are like that.
Saki and I were confused. “Uhm, what about it?” I asked, and she just laughed.
“Oh, it’s nothing!” She responded, until she stopped laughing. “I’m just surprised you actually talked to her, telling by the fact she’s quite different from other people here…”
“Uhm, what’s wrong with that?” I asked her, concerned of what she was up to.
“It’s just… I find something completely off about her.” she simply said, “Telling by the fact she’s been a loner last year, she’s obviously onto something. Plus the way she even looks and what she does around here.”
Now, I obviously found completely BS. As this girl always has to judge people because of stuff.
“Musume, how about you don’t assume things. Alright?” I retorted, “There’s nothing ‘wrong’ or ‘weird’ with her, she just has her own ways…”
“What?! I’m not even trying to make fun of her or anything, I was just concerned!” Musume stated defensively, “Telling by the fact she doesn’t talk to anybody here in this school.”
Before I could even respond to that statement, the bell rang for class.
“Maybe we should just head to class now?” Saki said as she had her hand on my shoulder. Both of us left to go to our classes, while Musume ust rolled her eyes.
Ayano POV:
Hours later, school was already finished. After cleaning up, I was to meet Kokona and Saki at this cafe. I noticed them walking together, and I ran up to join them. They noticed me.
“Hey, Yan-Chan!” Kokona exclaimed as I joined her and Saki, “Hey there.” I said, keeping a little smile on my face. We were nearly there at that cafe. As we arrived at the entrance, Saki opened the door for me and Kokona.
“You’re gonna love this place, Kokona and I come here a lot.” She told me, “Oh? Okay then, I’m sure I’d like it here too.” I said as I entered inside.
As we settled inside the cafe, the 3 of us sat in a comfortable spot that was near a fireplace. I sat in front of my friends, as we already decided what to eat. A couple of minutes later, the maid brought our drinks and food to our table.
We went for some mocha lattes and 3 slices of cake. I ordered the one with chocolate, Kokona went with her black cherry flavor, and Saki chose her favorite fruitcake. As we had our cake and drank our lattes, we basically talked about how our day was at school.
“I was so looking forward to joining the drama club.” Kokona said, “I definitely ADMIRE Kizana Sunobu, I wish to be like her someday…”
“I’m pretty sure she’d accept you, Kokona.” Saki responded, “As for me, I’m currently in the cooking club. I had fun there last year.”
“What about you Ayano?” She asked me, “Are you in any of the school clubs?”
“I haven't joined yet.” I answered, “However I am planning on checking out the art club, as I’m into a lot of drawing and crafting.”
“Ooh, fun!” Kokona exclaimed, “I’m sure you’d love it there once you join, I heard you get to make a lot of interesting stuff there.”
Our conversation continued from that to random things, school related of course. We were talking about other students, teachers, and even some latest gossip. Of course, stuff like that I don’t usually prefer bringing up. Unless it's that big…
A couple of hours passed, it was time to head home now. The 3 of us walked together until we reached our houses, and it was about to be evening.
"See you 2 tomorrow at school." I said to Kokona and Saki, "Bye Ayano!" They said back. I walked inside the door as they walked off.
After I went inside my house, I prepared dinner after changing from my school uniform to my normal home wear. I sat down on the table, eating up the leftover ramen in the bowl.
I texted Kokona and Saki as I was finishing up. After dinner was finished, I headed to the living room to watch TV before I could go to bed. As I sat down on the couch, I put on the same show I’ve been into. Now in the second season, the fifth episode.
While the TV was playing, I opened up my phone to call my parents. Just to check how they’re doing in America.
