Interaction
Staying inside sure was uneventful.
He made sure to avoid being seen and getting in her way but he also watched the woman feed, bathe, dress and play with his children.
And that didn't sit well with him.
No one else should be with his children and when his rogue status is done away with, no one will be.
Early in the afternoon, the woman left for a storm began to roll in and likelihood was she lived somewhere that was inaccessible in the rain. Yet Sasuke didn't care, he was pleased to see her go.
He then went back to his children's room where they were awake and babbling to each other through the bars. Yes, she had put them to sleep but they would normally talk to each other before finally getting sleepy.
Once more, smoke enveloped Sasuke and he walked out looking like himself again. The sound from deactivating his jitsu caught the twins' attention, they turned to see what that was and let out little gasps at the sight of this stranger.
Suddenly Sasuke felt...shy. Yes, he'd touched them but they weren't awake then. Now they can see him and he had no idea how they would react.
Besides, he's never interacted with babies before.
The boy scooted over to him as his crib was the closest to Sasuke. He held up his tiny arms towards this man and giggled. Meanwhile, the girl was climbing the bars to get inside of the boy's crib.
Sasuke was lost. What did he want? Only thing Sasuke had to give him were kunai.
And would you believe it but that's what Sasuke gave a baby.
The boy gawked at the sharp weapon in wonder. He stroked the flat front of the blade and felt up the ring at the end of the handle. The girl plopped onto the mattress and crab crawled over to her brother. She then too beheld this odd object and lightly slapped the other side.
Sasuke felt more at ease. For now their attention was on something else.
Then there was a crack! followed by a boom! The two babies stopped fondling the kunai and looked about in confusion. Sasuke side stepped the cribs and moved to the window to which he pulled back the curtains and peeked out.
The window was completely white from the pounding waterdrops.
Looks like the storm was in full bloom.
Through the obscured window, there was a flash of light and another boom! The babies held onto each other and whimpered. Sasuke turned to them and snapped, "Quit whining, it's only a thunderstorm." They stared silently at him. Sasuke quickly turned back around, embarrassed.
Just then, the bulb providing in the room went out. Both the twins and their father glanced up. Then, directed by a feeling in his gut, Sasuke looked out the window again and saw sections of the window pane turn dark.
Electricity was going out all over Konoha.
