Chapter 2

War didn’t have favorites. Only those who were cruel enough can call themselves favorites or better known as winners. Willing to kill without mercy, separating families from each side as children become victims.

War has killed your ‘parents’.

Black eyes stared at the family picture hanging from the wall. A man dressed with the strangest outfit you've ever seen with a weird headband standing next to a pretty woman dressed in what you imagine would be Japanese clothing. In her arms was you or what was your new body.

Similar pictures were hung nearby with the couple with others near the same age. There were little pictures of the 3 of you as they died right before this body's 2nd birthday.

‘I should start to refer to this body as mine. Obito Uchiha? Not a bad name but-’ Flipping through a picture book that contained many baby pictures indicated the name at the front was the name of this bodi- your name.

“I’m going to die again!” Showing the book back into its shelf, you sighed as you already knew the faith of this body.

Obito Uchiha, some who should have died when crushed by a fucking bolder soon to be saved by a madman, the pinnacle of insanity, only to die again during the Fourth Shinobi War. That doesn’t count that he was a part of a terrorist group and dipped his hands into way too many problems that you almost forgot many times.

With a deep sigh, you grabbed some paper from a dusty table and a pencil. Writing down major events before forgetting was the best step to do right now. Even though you remember most events right now, you’re in the body with an undeveloped brain. It wasn’t 100% you’ll remember what happened in your past life.

  1. Joined the academy around 5-6 cause abandonment causes loneliness, and we desire attention
  2. Meet Rin and Kakashi and start hating him, like I don’t even want to be a ninja but cannon will be cannon
  3. Become dead-last in the class I don’t even know Japanese! Much less how to read and write!
  4. Graduate around age 8-9 children soldiers, yay
  5. Team Minato yellow sonic, Kirby, old man and me, best out of them all
  6. Chūnin Exam get my ass kicked by Guy, I better not die bitch knows how to fight
  7. Third Shinobi War where I become a pancake
  8. Meet Madara bro looks like a raisin
  9. See Rin die, want a better world with who Obito cared and loved for, and hate everyone though would I be gay or straight. I mean that’s even if I fall in love with her but still, I need answers. Also Kakshi is involved in this vision so same question, but no answer as of now
  10. Train with Madara should study how to take a seal out of one’s heart 101
  11. Madara dies the raisin
  12. Akatsuki making rebels into terrorist
  13. Naruto parents died, fox demon shit, blah blah blah and life goes on, still a terrorist though

“And everyone knows what happens after that” Lifting your paper, which is written in English and to the best of your ability thank you very much whoever grabs this and thinks you're not able to write at all.

“Obito! Dinner is ready!”

“Coming!”

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

“Don’t wander off, alright?”

“Hai!”

Grabbing your grandmother’s hand, she led you through the market. You learned that you both live outside of the Uchiha Compound. This move was decided by your parents as they didn’t wish for you to grow up with the pressure of becoming the best and anything below that was discarded.

‘I’m sure you set your son up for success’

Though the Uchiha aren’t as hated as later on, being the police in any type of situation only gives you a bad image with the wrong move. Thankfully civilians currently had the right mind as to not hate children and the elderly cause they had human emotions unlike others.

Another thing to mention was that Uchiha loved sweets. Though any human can also love sweets, Uchiha are picky with sweets and once they find their favorite, it basically becomes part of their meal. Anything that contained sugar was a must to eat. Who were you to judge when you were given sugar to eat, especially as a kid.

Dango seemed to be this body's favorite sweet and you can’t argue, they were absolutely delicious. You did like the colors of it, sort of aesthetic and cute.

Though it makes sense as shinobi burn through lots of energy so their food intake must be higher than the civilians. And the Uchiha clan are all able to use chakra though the amount they possess differs as most aren’t ninjas. That's guessing if chakra is connected to the production of ATP which makes sense. Based on how much they are able to produce in the shortest amount of time may determine whether they go down the shinobi path or the civilian path’ Nodding at your inner explanation as you picked another dango stick, watching the crowd of the market as you and your grandmother sat on one of the tables outside of the stand.

There were two types of markets within the village, a civilian market and a shinobi market. For the civilian market, they were similar to any mall, swap meet, or supermarket your old world possessed. These types could be seen in many parts of the village as you're currently in one of the larger civilian markets within the village that contained different food stands, clothing stores, home appliances and other things. Yet you were able to spot a shinobi market on your way to the civilian market. Different types of weapons were sold, clothing specified for shinobi work, scrolls, and a bunch of other things.

Looking out at the crowd, your eyes spot a pair with gray hair. Standing up on the bench, your eyes confirmed your thoughts.

Sakumo and Kakashi Hatake.

It was a slight surprise to you that Sakumo was still alive but judging by the stares and slight eye bangs you knew that his suicide wasn’t that far in the future.

His death saddened you as he only wished to save his comrades. Though the mission did hit the village hard in certain areas, it didn’t outright cause the collapse of the village or anything dangerously bad to the economy. He was still loyal to the village no matter what.

‘It might be too late for me to save Sakumo, but if I get on Kakashi’s side earlier, maybe I won’t suffer much in the academy’ Thinking as you watch them leave, almost making eye contact with Sakumo.

His eyes were dull.

They no longer contained the energy that belonged to Sakumo Hatake but of a dead man.
