The Nine-Tailed Fox and the Girl.
Juura, puzzled and frustrated, addressed the group before him.
"I don't understand. Despite following the Nine-Tailed Beast's chakra signature, why were we led here? Is something about this girl significant?"
He looked at the group with a mix of bewilderment and wariness, uncertain of how to proceed. Questions swirled in his mind as he puzzled over the unexpected twist in their pursuit.
Juura fixed his intense gaze upon Inojin and Shikadai, his voice laced with urgency.*
"I'm certain the one whose chakra I've been tracking is Naruto Uzumaki, the former Seventh Hokage who houses the Nine-Tailed Beast. Where is he?
He demanded an answer from them, his impatience and determination evident in his tone.
Inojin responded with a touch of bewilderment, stating that the Seventh Hokage wasn't currently in the village. He also posed a question, asking what Himawari had to do with the Nine-Tailed Beast.
Hearing the response, Juura's confusion deepened. He furrowed his brow, trying to make sense of the situation and understand the connection between Himawari and the Nine-Tailed Beast.
A glint of cold determination flashed in Juura's eyes as he addressed the group before him. His voice carried a weight of resolve.
"Very well. To uncover the truth about the Nine-Tailed Beast's connection with this girl, Himawari, I have no choice but to devour her.
Juura declared with a chilling tone, his decision clear as he prepared to act upon his sinister intentions.
Shikadai, recognizing the gravity of the situation, quickly established communication with his father, Shikamaru. His voice filled with urgency.
"Dad, there are indeed intruders targeting Himawari. Could you shed light on any connection she might have to the Nine-Tailed Beast?"
He sought clarification on the matter, hoping to uncover the reason behind the attackers' interest in Himawari.
Shikamaru, alarmed by the news, promptly communicated the situation to Boruto, informing him that intruders were threatening Himawari. Boruto's anger surged as he heard that one of the attackers resembled Sasuke Uchiha.
Determined to protect his younger sister, Boruto swiftly teleported back to the village to defend her. Just as he arrived, Kawaki, who had been unconscious, stirred awake from the impact of Juura's attack.
Juura unleashed his wood-style jutsu, trapping Himawari within a tree-like construct. Shikadai swiftly countered with his shadow paralysis technique, shattering the tree and rescuing Himawari. Inojin, in turn, utilized his Shadow Beast Scroll to pull Himawari out of the confining tree and hand her safely to Cho-Cho.
Inojin, thinking quickly, used his bird summoning jutsu to create an escape route for himself, Himawari, and their companions. With a swift motion, he leapt onto the bird's back, helping Himawari and Shikadai to mount as well. Cho-Cho, in a show of agility, launched herself onto the bird's other side, securing a position for the both of them.
In a moment of destructive fury, Jura unleashed a tailed beast bomb, aiming it towards the ground. The resulting explosion engulfed a section of the village in a fiery inferno, causing widespread chaos and devastation.
Amidst the turmoil, Sarada and Sumire moved swiftly toward the battle, while Delta and Kawaki hastened their steps in pursuit of Boruto's chakra signature. The landscape around them seemed to shudder as the confrontation neared a climax.
Himawari's vision began to blur as she found herself sitting in a pool of water, disoriented and uncertain. Then, she turned and witnessed the towering and powerful figure of the Nine-Tails standing before her.
In a deep, booming voice, Kurama spoke, his eyes gleaming with ancient wisdom and intensity.
"You. Do you know who I am, little girl?"
Himawari nodded, her voice trembling slightly as she replied.
"You're the Nine-Tails, right?"
